...The Turkish Angora is a medium-sized long-haired cat, reportedly the oldest long-haired breed in existence. However, despite the long hair, they are not double-coated as are Maine Coones and Persians, which makes them a lot easier to groom, hence reducing shedding and matting. They have a very glossy, almost sliken, appearance. They come in most colours, except 'pointed' (as a Siamese). They give the impression of being very long-bodied, and have really long tails and legs, and gorgeous big eyes and ears. Advantages: Great for unique, fashionable people who are far too busy to go trailing throught the stores
Disadvantages: can be tricking to navigate but once started its great

...and then I had to get them repaired. I didn't go back to French Connection because I didn't feel that I could and as I remember it, there was nothing with the order that stated to who you were to get in contacrt with, once upset by the performance or quality of a qarment. The angora jumper- is terrible. It malts hair and changes things that were black to hot pink!!!...

Review of Laurel And Hardy - No. 20 - More Brushes With The Law - Classic Shorts (DVD)

A fitting tribute

Advantages: Great take on an unusual subject
Disadvantages: could do with being a little bit shorter

...Director Tim Burton presents Johnny Depp as Edward D. Wood Jr., the world's worst film maker in this fictionalised biopic. And an angora sweater wearing one at that. Depp does a great job as Ed, and Martin Landau thoroughly deserved his Oscar for his portrayal of Bella Lugosi. It's not the kind of role I would have imagined for Depp but he actually works really well as the over-enthusiastic film maker. Supporting roles from Sarah Jessica Parker, Patricia Arquette and Buffy's Juliet Landau help to complete the cast of this fantastic film. I have found that some true-life stories can be bland and uninspiring but this definitely has no such problems. The fact that this is shot in black and white may put some people off, but it just wouldn't work in colour. Tim Burton excels again....

Blonde's Really Do Have Fun

Advantages: very funny, a lot of fun, Reese Witherspoon, supporting cast
Disadvantages: not that original

...who seems to be in every comedy film at the moment. Her character could easily have been someone who wasn’t integral to the plot but she’s just as likeable as Elle. The script is constantly amusing and at moments does elevate itself with some great lines that get good laughs such as :- Elle Woods: And last week I saw Cameron Diaz at Fred Segal, and I talked her out of buying this truly heinous angora sweater. Whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed. There’s also some excellent retorts such as one between Elle and Selma Blair’s character this is pretty wicked. Of course once again the cast and the direction elevate the script. There’s not much new about it and some of the situations are a bit hokey but it’s all in the spirit of the film.
