The best part is challenge Ant where a child is pitted in a battle of general knowledge questions against Ant and for every question that is won a prize of a computer game or DVD is awarded and at the end of the 10 questions the child can gamble the prizes they have on the killer question for Ant to answer . ...SMTV live, the brightest thing to beam out of your television set on a Saturday morning. As the title suggests, its all LIVE, this could be a dangerous thing for this show......dangerous in a good way! The two blokes involved in this program, Ant McPartlin and Declan o'donnelley are so comical to watch, as if on purpose forgetting thier lines and making it up as they go along. Thier stunning sidekick is Cat Deeley , a once MTV presenter, also manages to create the right atmosphere. The show contains cartoons such as Pokemon, and regularly features the brightest bands from the charts such as S-Club-seven and Hearsay. The band members get to take part in some of the activities like the game splatoon, where they have to be blindfolded and fire at baloons filled with fluid for points under the orders of a lucky viewer. ...'; they really enjoy seeing the celebrities suffer. I don't believe for a minute that they could do half the trails that they watch them do! It would be interesting to see how they cope in the Big Brother House with the earnest on them to collect the points to win the shopping budget! It will be interesting to see which is the more popular as it is with any comedy duo. If one goes with out the other how will they cope? They are so used to being a pair starting of as Biker Grooves PJ & Duncan, heading of to a music career with 'Let's get ready to rumble' and now hosting together. Will they still be as funny? ...have to be over 18 to enter (OK they are primarily on CD:UK but it is the same show really) for Justin Toper's sake. So Ant and Dec have created the perfect Saturday Morning Hangover pick me up. Filth, stupidity, and comedy. This would be good in itself but just remember that it is neatly packaged with some Cat Deely and some cartoons. ...Saturday mornings have always had long running children’s shows on both the major channels, now at present we have the tough choice of SMTV live Or the BBC’s poor second best live and kicking. So why is SMTV live the clear winner, well its presenters is the clear answer. Ant and Dec. remember then the canny Geordies from that less than appealing programme Biker Grove. Cat Deeley makes up the threesome, a former model and TV presenter, she fits in perfectly. Now Ant and Dec are far too good just for the kids. Their humour is extremely funny, dry, witty and spontaneous at times. What it is about this pair is hard to pinpoint but they have that certain rapport between them that guarantees success, in fact they are more like a modern day Morecambe and wise. ...There I was sitting on a Saturday morning at 9:25 watching television thinking what can I do my next review on. Yes up that early thinking about ciao. I was watching the usual Saturday morning show that I always have and that is SM:TV Live. That’s when I came up with my next review. After feeling a little sick seeing the little custard man getting splatted I continued with my quest to inform the nation. The show is hosted by the famous trio Ant & Dec and Cat Deely and is the number one Saturday morning show with an estimated audience of around 9 million compared to Live & Kicking of around about 8 million, I think it is still called L & K? SM:TV is on Channel 3 and L & K is BBC 1. The fantastic trio takes it young Saturday morning viewers and it’s not so young like me! On a whirl wind roller coaster ride of fun and laughs... ...This is a rant with regard to last nights abysmal 'tribute to the Likely Lads'. The Likely Lads, for those you too young to have seen the original programmes, or missed the repeats, followed the lives, loves and tribulations of Bob and Terry, the likely lads of the title. As different as chalk and cheese, but life long friends all the same. This was a classic of TV comedy, and marked the starting point of two very successful TV careers for James Bolam and Rodney Bewes - two fine, talented actors. I must admit that I was filled with a great sense of foreboding and impending tragedy when I heard that there were plans afoot to remake and update the programme, with Ant and Dec taking the lead roles. ...After all those cheesy morning tv programmes and endless rows of cartoons and talk shows comes... SMTV LIVE! There I was on Saturday morning 9:25 gazing at the tv waiting for a good programme to come on when the cool music to smtv live came on. It was really up beat and it got me looking at the tv straight away. I was sitting with my nephews when the programme came on, and there was a sudden laugh when I saw the presenters Ant, Dec and Kat Deeley for the first time. Apparently they had seen this programme several times and they really enjoy it. What I got to lose? nothing.. so I thought I would take a look. Ant, Dec and Kat are great presenters and add a certain atmosphere to the programme. Advantages: Childishly funny, turn your brain off for 2 hours

...other week and are always so nearly there when somebody interrupts them. SPLATOON see Ant & Dec dressed in their RAF flying outfits and aims to help a viewer net some prizes. The aim of this is to blindfold one of the special guests, this week was Lee Evans, and to get him to burst some balloons by calling out splat every time the target lands over a balloon. This happens twice in the show and the guest with the highest score wins the prizes and they are great prizes. CHALLENGE ANT: this is possibly my favourite part of the show. this is when a member of the audience has to ask Ant 10 topical questions. If Ant is wrong then the viewer wins a playstation game for every one answered by Ant incorrectly. At the end of this, the contestant is offered the chance to gamble all of their games for a bigger prize with the 'killer question... Read review
