Network problem solver.

...A wireless network has recently been installed where I live and I was unable to connect to it using my Belkin F5D7000, without moving my PC into the middle of the room. I read up on how to improve network connection and the Belkin F5D6900 seemed like a reasonable option. The Belkin F5D6900 is a small omni-directional antenna that comes fitted to a base, so it sits on your desk, and a 1 metre length of cable. Installing it is simplicity itself, as you only have to unscrew the antenna fitted to your network card and screw on the free end of the cable. It is then just a case of trial and error to find the best place to put the antenna. I was amazed to see how much difference the signal strength is affected by the positioning, considering the cable is only 1 metre long. At the moment I have only got 42% signal strength but...

...Microsoft and their proprietary products are poor performance,and too expensive.This adapter detects the same network my pc adapter detects but only 1 bar of signal.My pc adapter has 5 bars on the network.The xbox adapter must not have an omni antenna and the gain is probably 1dbi.I tried to opened this crap and put a higher gain antenna but the connector is a sub micro connector specially made for microsoft to screw us.I still could have rigged a better antenna,but i accidentally lost an ic chip trying to pry this thing apart,now there goes 70 bucks,never again. Fortunately i discovered linksys sells a universal game adapter (part number WGA54G),the adpater is also pc compatible,why isnt the xbox adapter pc compatible?Anyway,the linksys has an omni antenna and yes its removable to get a better omni.The signal is 5 to 15 times...

Advantages: touch screen, coolness, wxtra apps (if unlocked)
Disadvantages: camera!!! Contract

...a go. it doesnt scratch either! Applications this phone does email / internet / youtube / weather / google maps and others from stock, which is very useful, and it does it well, the internet scrolling, screen tilting etc is fantasic, its sharp and clear for many of these featuresa touch screen full keyboard is used, which for my small hands is great, i never got on with the 2-0 buttons on other phones, but some will find this difficult External buttons include the home button, invaluble and essential, very useful vol up and down and the ringer silencer genius that one Antennas wifi, makes this phone, when in range, it makes everything so fast, and youtube possible, when not in range 2.5g is ok, it just takes things much longer, especially internet (but it s bearable for most sites), dont bother with youtube here...

...Pod models rather than the brushed metal appearance of the iPhone. Despite being a huge fan of the rear panel design, I hate how it instantly attracts marks and dust. I really do try my best to keep my gadgets clean - mainly because I love the "brand spanking new" appearance - but this is impossible to keep immaculate. I store mine in a case yet the rear panel is literally covered in fingerprints and bits of dust. The worst thing is, it won't just look like a normal fingerprint - it will look like a big greasy fingerprint as if your fingers had been covered in oil. Ick! I like to keep a duster in my case because it annoys me so much!: dusters and cleaning cloths for spectacle are ideal though I use a spare dusting cloth I received with my Sony PSP P!nk. Belkin Desktop Card: Just good, nothing more, nothing less

...After using a laptop for many years I turned to a desktop but I wanted to maintain my wireless capabilities. So I opted to go for a decent desktop card so I went for the reputable belkin brand. In all this is a good card and antenna set. It took me moments to set up and no installation disks or driver was needed, simply plug and play. The range on the antenna is very good, I pick up 3/4 wireless networks from my home all with decent signal. I managed to grab my card cheaply from ebay for about £25, in terms of value for money I think it is satisfactory, the card maintains a good connection and I rarely have any trouble staying connected in important situations like playing my online games.
