Not Antiperspirant Deodorant But Sort Of Value
Review of Tesco Value Antiperspirant Deodorant by
sillyssally
Advantages: see below
Disadvantages: see below
...Do you know the difference between a deodorant and an antiperspirant. A deodorant stops you SMELLING and the other stops you SWEATING. So why do they sell deodorant anti perspirants because shouldn’t that be a contradiction in terms? I am always one to try a new item especially if its cheap. This can be a mistake lol! This was a real mistake!
THE PACKAGING
Tescos Value products all look the same. They have white backgrounds and red and blue writing plus red and blue decorations. On the front it says the name of the product and the brand Tesco Value Antiperspirant Deodorant and on the back it says extremely flammable, recyclable can and not been tested on animals. I only buy things not tested on animals so that made me happy.
THE PRODUCT
Firstly the price. It looks a bargain. It is only about 60p for a big 200ml can. You...

Arms up Anti-Perspirant Deoderant
Review of Mitchum Anti-Perspirant Deodorant by
shonalaing80
Advantages: Works really well, nice smell
Disadvantages: Takes a while to dry
...I never used to be very loyal to any brand of deoderant and didnt care if it was an aerosol or roll on - whatever was on offer when I needed it was what I bought - until I tried Mitchum anto-perspirant deoderant and have stayed loyer ever since (about 2 years now). I know it isnt a very nice subject but I used to suffer really badly from sweating (I still to) and found that no matter what anti-perspirant deoderant I used I still ended the day with nasty sweat marks under my arms - not very ladylike, anyway - those days are now gone and I can happily raise my arms above my head even at the end of a busy 8 hour shift.
The Product
The product is Mitchum Anti-Perspirant Deoderant - it comes in both a male and female variety, spray on or roll on and is either unscented or Powderfresh - I use the ladies Powderfresh roll on. I had never...

CLOG ME UP
Review of Physio Sport Anti-Perspirant Aerosol by
Paiceyjohn
Advantages: No irritation
Disadvantages: Sticky
...;see, you might have thought that selecting something to squirt on your armpits was a simple process. Not so! And here I am to point out how complicated it really is. That’s the kind of guy I am. So pay attention, especially during the science bits.
THE PRODUCT
The brand is Physio Sport, manufactured by Elida Fabergé - I couch it in marketing terminology for reasons that may become clear later. The aerosol version is available either as anti-perspirant or ‘deo-bodyspray’ (there's also a roll-on version, not covered here) and each of these currently comes in three flavours; "fresh blast", "vital instinct" (which sounds positively bestial, to be honest) and "pure energy". This opinion concerns the anti-perspirant, but I want to make some comparisons with the bodyspray, as well as with other spray-on anti-perspirants I...

"All Girls Prefer Dry Guys" - Oh Dear
Review of Lynx Dry Anti-Perspirant Deodorant - Touch by
aussiejoe
Advantages: The great smells associated with Lynx
Disadvantages: Isn't as effective as you'd hope
...Lynx's new anti-perspirant range, 'Lynx Dry', combines the classic smells of their deodorants and, supposedly, the effects of long-lasting anti-perspirant to keep you dry through anything.
The can states that the anti-perspirant offers you 24 hour protection, but is this true?
This anti-perspirant is in a spray-on form contained in the usual can who's appearance is only distinguishable from the old deodorant by the presence of a silver lid. The standard can contains 175ml of product and usually lasts for a few weeks.
When I saw this product on the shelf of the local supermarket, I was instantly compelled to buy it. Not only did I prefer anti-perspirants to deodorants purely for the fact that they keep you dry, I liked the fact that this anti-perspirant would still give you the good scent of Lynx. At around £2.50, it wasn't really...

One for the ladies?
Review of Nuage Enriched Anti-Perspirant Deodorant Spray by
Discerna
Advantages: convenient handbag-friendly spray deodorant
Disadvantages: nozzle could be improved (as rival product demonstrates)
...I don't often get excited over packaging; but it was the packaging that attracted me to this item. As I start to describe it, you may at first wonder why: it's a very mundane cylindrical can, with a very ordinary blue plastic cap, covering a standard spray nozzle. The simple blue, pink and white design and lettering does little to compete for attention alongside the many other deodorants on the supermarket shelf. What sets it apart from the others is, however, its size. Whereas my normal spray deodorant comes in cans containing 150 ml, the Nuagé enriched anti-perspirant deodorant is available in a travel size containing just 25 ml.
Now at 99p for 25ml, it doesn't score well for value-for-money - so it's unlikely that I would choose it to replace my regular deodorant, even though it claims to offer 24 hour protection. But when...

Not my usual choice
Review of Sure 24H Intensive Antiperspirant by
Aquarian
Advantages: Nice smell and keeps you dry
Disadvantages: Can leave marks on your clothes
...Sure 24hr Intensive
This Anti-perspirant deodorant comes in a roll on bottle or a spray canister. I have bought the spray because I find that it is quicker drying than the roll on. You have to be careful not to get this spray on your clothes otherwise you’ll end up with a white powdery mark on them.
It’s best to put your anti-perspirant on after a wash, bath or shower when you have nothing on, wait a few minutes before putting your bra or top on if you don’t wear a bra (vest or t-shirt in case your male and wear this type of anti-perspirant).
The scent of this canister is called Cool Pink and there’s a large pink tick on the front of the can with the words SURE in black letters above. The can is 250ml and is in a new larger size can.
This is alcohol free therefore kinder to the skin and cuts out the sting factor if you shave...

Pure White Armpits and Clothes
Review of Dove Antiperspirant Deodorant Cream by
sandrabarber
Advantages: smalls great, effective
Disadvantages: tuins your clothes, makes you look stupid
...Ever since the sudden and mysterious disappearance of Secret anti-perspirant deodorant a few months back, I've been searching for a new brand to refresh my pits and keep me fragrant and dry. I think I've tried just about every cream deodorant on the market and have come across some good, some indifferent, and some frankly appalling examples.
First, the difference between a deodorant and an anti-perspirant:
Deodorant literally means just perfume. A pure deodorant does not stop you sweating, but merely perfumes your underarms and, in theory, any smell that emits therefrom.
An anti-perspirant contains a special chemical to block your pores and thus stop sweating.
An anti-perspirant deodorant does both, and is therefore the best and most popular option for combatting underarm niffs.
The Dove Range...

You sure do smell nice.
Review of Impulse Anti-Perspirant by
tange
Advantages: Smells good and deals with B.O.
Disadvantages: Not yet available in all Impulse body spray fragrances.
...I have just discovered a really nice deodorant; it smells good, it’s effective and the packaging is good too! This probably sounds too good to be true, but I have found my favourite deodorant. “What is this marvel?” I hear you cry. All right I’ll put you out of your misery; it’s Impulse Anti-Perspirant deodorant! It’s new and really works.
It’s not a subject that we find pleasant, but we all have body odour. We can try and cover it up with perfume, or we can try and do something about the smell. B.O (Body Odour) is the result of skin bacteria mixing with sweat. Some people naturally sweat more than others, but nervousness and anxiety can cause excessive sweating and, consequently you can be bothered by a nasty aroma.
Whether you choose a spray, a roll on or a stick is down to you...
