Titleist Pro V1X

Advantages: Great name in golf balls
Disadvantages: Not really for high handicappers

...I'm not really into the science of golf balls, all I know is that there are good balls and not so good balls. I wouldn't play with golf balls that cost 20p per ball such as Donnay because they don't feel nice to hit and yes on the golf course you just don't use Donnay to play low rounds and in tourneys. I tried a titleist Pro V1X today in a Stableford tourney off white tees so I had a little extra yardage to play, I mostly use Titleist PTS Solo because they are designed for mid to high handicappers, and I can hit them, so they work for me. Titleist have brought out this new breed of ball, and as i said I don't know the science so i'm not going to say there is this and there is that, etc. All i know is that these balls are designed to cut out spin, have a lower flight and create more distance, however, I never saw any of that. St Anton

Advantages: Beautiful scenery, Clean Air, Superb Excursions, Warm and Friendly Folk
Disadvantages: can be expensive to the British Pocket

Organic and Vegan Happy Meals - at V1 Nottingham!

Advantages: Vegan, Organic, gluten free - something for all needs here. Good quality too!
Disadvantages: Only one is in Nottingham. More expensive than Mcdonalds

St Anton

Advantages: Lifts, Snow, Cartouche, Friendly, Hotel Rendlhof
Disadvantages: Piste grooming, wet lower down at Easter, weather on St Anotn, prices.

Pro V1x performance is second to none

Advantages: Great distance and feel
Disadvantages: Price

...you can find them for less. This is downfall of the Pro V1 but the performance levels are significanly better than onther ball, appart from the Bridgestome B330's (as they are exactly the same ball just with a differnt name) My advice would be, If you have the money to spare go for these balls as the all over perfomance is outstanding....

Titleist Pro V1 - the best ball yet

Advantages: great feel and distance

...I have been playing golf for 15 years and always play with a Titleist ball. It's something of a habit, but the ball suits my game. In cold wet conditions I'll play with the pts wound ball, and in dry summer conditions the professional balata. That was until I tried the newest product from Titleist, the pro V1. It is the tour professionals choice of ball combining both distance and feel.It is longer off the tee than the balata ball but gets enormous spin around the green. I'm not sure how Titleist have done it, but I was amazed at the extra length I got off the tee and the control and spin I got around the green. Putting with it is a dream, the ball doesn't fly off the putter like the wound ball. At the moment the cost of the ball will put off all but the most accomplished golfer, at £35 a dozen you don't really want to 'lose' a ball...

It cant get better than this...PRO V1

Advantages: Very Long (excellent distance), Very soft, Good spin control, Durable, Easy to find!!
Disadvantages: Wouldn`t recommend it for fast and soft greens!!

Ski in St Anton - you'll love it

Advantages: Huge ski area - friendly locals - easy to get to
Disadvantages: None really

...Just got back from St Anton (New Year 2006 - 07) and what a great place to visit. Skiing: Runs are generally for the intermediate and expert skier although there are beginners runs in a few places and a very good ski school. Your electronic lift pass covers all of St Anton plus the nearby resorts of St Christoph, Lech and Zurs. To get to Lech and Zurs you can either get the bus from St Anton or ski to St Christoph and get it from there. If you have never skied a red or a black, this is the resort to 'give it a go' as there are several 'gentler' hard runs worthy of a try. Resort: I stayed in Nesserein which is at the end of St Anton High St and a little quieter. It is a 3 minute walk from a gondola lift and only a 10 minute walk from the main shopping area (which is mosly pedestrianised). Loads of bars and restaurants...
