I actually bought the book from a car boot sale, I think it was about 10p!! Which is an absolute bargain as the book is fantastic and I still read it now. I'm not really sure why I bought it, it obviously must have just caught my eye through all the usual junk you find at a car boot sale. Antony and the Johnsons eponymous album

Advantages: Haunting lyrics and soulful singing
Disadvantages: Only 35 minutes long :(

...This album is Antony and the Johnsons first album and is self titled Antony and the Johsons. macca8100 wrote about their second album 'I am a bird now' which is also excellent as macca pointed out. I feel that I should give a review of their first album because I don't think it is as well known as their followup, possibly due to their second one winning them their mercury music award and being as it is full of guest stars (Lou Reed, Boy George, Devendra Banhart and Rufus Wainright) which certainly lent it some musical authenticity that allowed him to break in to the british market (even though he is british he lives in america and started his career there). Antony and Cleopatra - Tragedy or not

Advantages: This is one of Shakespeares first efforts at tragedy and makes us question whether or not we pity the hero.
Disadvantages: It is unclear whether or not Shakespeare wanted us to experience feelings of katharsis when seeing Antony's actions.

Antony Worrall Thompson Saucepan Set is a hot product!

Advantages: Great value for money and look great.
Disadvantages: Not completely non -stick.

...I purchased the Antony Worrall Thompson Saucepan Set when I moved into my flat with my partner. I love cooking ( I am not too good at it mind you) so I wanted to get a good saucepan set that I wouldn't have to spend ages scrubbing to clean and would have a long lifetime. In my opinion the saucepan's and one frying pan looked great. I bought the black and chrome set. It came with 3 different sized saucepans, a milk pan, a 2 tier steamer and a frying pan. Everything you need really. It was good value for money and also had Antony's signiture on all the lids. The only downside is the lids do get very hot that I have to use oven gloves to lift them off. They are very non - stick which saves a lot of washing up time as I don't have a dishwasher. However I really put the saucepans to the test with scrambled eggs, Unfortunately it failed...

...'I Am a Bird Now' was the second full-length album by Antony and the Johnsons. It received critical acclaim upon release and won the Mercury Prize for the best album of 2005. This caused some controversy over the fact that Antony, although born in the UK, had lived most his life in the USA. In many ways Antony and the Johnsons are a New York based band. This album was on my list to buy for some time after I'd heard the opening track - 'Hope There's Someone' - on a compilation CD received free with a national newspaper. This was one song that I never tired of hearing; a completely original composition with a dramatic soaring vocal. But apart form the haunting opening track, 'I Am a Bird Now' didn't quite flutter my feathers as I'd imagined it would. The album clearly has its merits and there is clearly some original inspired work here...

...I picked this book up in the motorway service station on the way up to Reading just before xmas, it looked like a easy book, and nothing to heavy to read on my weekend away. The other reason I picked up this book was because it was on special offer at £4.99 as it normally retails at £6.99 and it was a new release, being in the top 20, and Billy Hopkins had written other books which sounded ok, as ok books go. The story is set in the 60's which revolve around a family life. Mum and Dad, Billy and Laura have four children, John, Mark, Matthew and Lucy. They return to England from Kenya, on a cold wintry day in December 1963 and return to there home town of Manchester, financially more wealthy than when they left due to Billy's job that he took in Africa. The sound of heart-ache

Advantages: Good, melow, amazing sound
Disadvantages: Runs out after 10 tracks.................

...you listening with all you've got. His voice in this song is amazing. When he sings the bridge on the track your left in amazment at how different his voice is and how it changes throughout the album. ' My Lady Story ' is another slow and meaningful song. Antony definately has a gift and he'll have you with tears in your eyes by the end of the album and it definately pulls on your heart strings. My lady story is three and a half minutes long and doesn't realy have a beat in it. The best way I can describe this track is that it's slow, mellow and nice. 'For Today I Am A Boy' I think is about Antony wanting to be a female ( I think ). This track is another slow, sad song, singing about how he wants to grow to be a lady but for today he is just a boy. This one is a short song which comes in at just over two and a half minutes. Advantages: Funny, factual, revealing
Disadvantages: Perhaps a little sentimental in places

...I can't imagine a more perfect biography for Nell Gwynne than this one, by Graham Hopkins. So many biographies are dry and monotonous, but Hopkins imbues it with plenty of humour and makes it a pleasure to read. He seems to capture Nell's personality; her wit, her generosity, her spirit. Nell's character is what made her so popular with the public - and what continues to make her popular even today - and this biography is full of character. The book is very well-researched and Hopkins backs up all of his claims with evidence, from the assumed date of Nell's birth (commonly cited as 1650, but more likely to be 1642) to Charles II's deathbed plea: "Let not poor Nelly starve" (I was delighted to find that there is clear evidence for this, with four separate accounts mentioning it).
