...The place where I went on holiday this year was a resort called Cala n’Porter in Menorca. The resort was nice, although quiet. The apartments where I stayed were called Siesta Mar 1 & 2 and they were really nice. There was two sections of the hotel, hence the 1 & 2, and the whole vicinity of the hotel was absolutely enormous. In the hotel, there was 3 main pools and another small pool amongst the apartment blocks. The main pools were situated by the hotel reception and bar area. Also there was a restaurant with a wide variation of the menu, for both adults and children to enjoy. This particular hotel was great for families with young children and there was a lot of daytime and night-time activities to choose from. ...Stayed at Tamaran apartments first 2 weeks august 2006. We had 1 of only 8 2 bed apartments, which we found really spacious. Tamaran is ranked as 2 star, although would argue should be classed higher. 2 bed apartments are all based at each end of apartment block which means that balcony is open on 2 sides so get a nice breeze-we didn't need to hire fans as nice breeze through apartment, especially if opened windows in bedroom. Bedrooms were lacking in sockets so found difficulty drying hair as no socket near mirror! Apartments are based on a busy road, which traffic can be quite noisy if you are a light sleeper. Loads of supermarkets on road. Apartments border on the german area of Playa del ingles so many shops to left of block cater for german community. Pool is saltwater and absolutely lovely including kiddie pool. Snack bar on site... Read review

...It may be a hidden treasure but when you find it, it is well worth it!!!! HOLYROOD apartHOTEL overlooks Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh and is very close to the new Scottish Parliment making it only a few minutes in a taxi from Princes Street. So the location is excellent, especially with so many pubs and entertainment only a few minutes away. You could easily drive past the HOLYROOD apartHOTEL but a call to reception soon pointed us in the right direction and straight into the hotel car park. The car park is £5.00 per night but it very secure. Check in was no problem, reception were very helpful and then guided us to our room on the 5th floor. The apartment was lovely - very spacious and very clean. It consisted of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and open plan living room, dining area and kitchen. The apartment was full of all the mod cons you... Advantages: Cheap and adequate
Disadvantages: By noisy trains and some distance from the resort centre

...I stayed in this apartment block last year. The apartment was clean and adequately equipped and there is a small shop on site which is rather expensive. The reception staff always seem too busy and you have to queue a while if you need anything. The block is situated by a busy train line and the trains are noisy throughout the night. It is also a fair walk into the resort centre or to the beach although local taxis are quite cheap. There is a decent pool and snack bar at the apartment but not much in the way of entertainment. The food at the restaurant is buffet style and not particularly appertising and there are plenty of other places i have stayed in Salou which are better located with more facilities.... Read review

Advantages: location to public transport, burleigh township and markets
Disadvantages: nothing really

...We booked this accommodation as it was affiliated to my partners work and we were wanting to stay away from the high-traffic Surfers Paradise itself. It is situated only approx. 300m from Burleigh Heads township and very handy to shops and restaurants/cafes. It is around 50m walk to the ocean at the end of the avenue and handy to the Burleigh Heads Markets which are held on a regular basis on a Sunday. The accommodation itself was brilliant as was the service and the apartments come with all the items you would need in the kitchen to be self-supporting. Handy to buses into Surfers on the main road outside the complex itself and has its own pool and the apartments come with a carpark as well (secured). We were more than happy with our apartment and would not hesitate to book in there again!... Read review

...i stayed at these apartments in August 2004. They are situated up a bit of a hill (not up the hillside) They are quite close to the beach. They are very basic apartments but they seemed to be clean. We only saw 2 cockroaches in our apartment during our 2 week stay. As we were situated on the ground floor near some trees I was surprised we didn't see more! We had a 2 bedroomed apartment which was very spacious indeed. The 2 bedrooms were both twin beds and both had plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom was big too, with a bath and shower (over bath) Our terrace led straight onto the pool area so if you had little ones who can't swim I would suggest leaving the patio doors shut when you were out of the room. however, we found it to be very convenient as we could get up and one of us would have a dip in the pool while the other waited... ...Myself and my cousin stayed at these apartments in September 2007. We got moved here from the Samba hotel across the road at the last minute and when we arrived we were a little dissapointed looking at the apartments from the outside compared to the Samba but we were there and couldn\'t change it! Appearances can be deceptive and these apartments were. When you walk inside there is a large reception area with a games room, internet access (which you pay to use but is inexpensive) and pool access. The staff on reception were quite helpful and spoke good English. There are lifts and stairs so access is easy for the less mobile and people with children. The apartment we were in was quite large with one bedroom and a separate bathroom. It was pretty clean and well maintained. The only problem we had was our toaster didn\'t work which wasn... ...I booked one of these apartments for my parents to stay in whilst they were up in Sheffield for my graduation. I booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 2 nights for a total of £300.00. BOOKING I booked the apartment on line and paid in full up front. The booking staff were efficient and rang to confirm my booking as soon as payment went through. They also offered a complimentary gift of either chocolates or flowers. The booking also came with a free dvd rental from the nearest self-service dvd store. LOCATION I graduated from Sheffield uni, and whilst the apartment is fairly central, it is some distance from the university itself and therefore a bit of a trek. However you can always pick up a black taxi from the high street without any difficulty. APARTMENT BUILDING The building itself is is quite new and reminded my of the reception... Read review
