...I use Alicante airport for my annual break in Spain and find it is convenient and fairly easy to use. It is situated just outside Alicante on the Costa Blanca, around 46.5km from Benidorm. It is within driving distance of Valencia, around two hours and 179km. Arrivals You would probably fly to Alicante if you were staying in Benidorm, Torrevieja, Altea, Calpe, Moraira or Teulada. It is popular with budget airlines such as Easyjet and Bmibaby and there are flights from many regional airports in the UK such as East Midlands, Liverpool, Bristol, Newcastle and Stansted to name a few. There are around ten car hire companies who operate out of the airport including the big names like Avis, Europcar and Hertz, these desks are located in the arrivals hall and can get busy at peak times. Alicante

Advantages: Beautiful,Clean city
Disadvantages: Expensive,hilly,hardly any English spoken

...After having a day trip to Alicante a couple of years ago (Well actually 2 hours on a Thomson excursion) while staying in Benidorm,my wife & myself decided to use my last 4 days holiday entitlement to have a short break in Spain & found a really good value holiday in Alicante courtesy of Easyjet. The idea was that 4 days would give us plenty of time to have a good look around the city & as we are into that sort of thing,the castle. The flight went OK but on the Alicante newsletter which I am subscribed to It recommended getting an excellent free map of the city from the information desk at the airport. Well this is where things started to go wrong - I could not find an information desk so we decided to catch the bus & get one in Alicante. As it was Sunday all the information places were closed so we finished up having to pay 5 euros...

Apartment smelled of drains

Advantages: Nice pool, pleasanr helpful staff, appartment very clean
Disadvantages: Bathroom stunk of drains, kitchen antiquated, no kettle, toaster or hairdryer

SUNSHINE MAKES EVERYTHING LOOK GOOD: We made our way up to the pool area and were pleasantly surprised by a couple of big pools, lots of sun loungers and umbrellas, a couple of quiet bars and a restaurant. It all looked quiet, sunny and inviting. We sat down and enjoyed an iced tea and toasted sandwiches. We had been up since 2am and I had only had a cup of coffee and water so I was quite hungry by now. The waiter was lovely and the food was fine. Alicante city is a wonderful gap in this winter

Advantages: Excellent weather, warming sun, gorgeous seaside, awesome nightlife
Disadvantages: Beaches might be too crowded in the summer, no winter sports to do

Estella Hotel and Apartments Did NOT Disappoint!

Advantages: Excellent location, superb customer service levels and lovely rooms
Disadvantages: No real facilities for the disabled

...Estella Hotel Apartments is based in Limassol in Southern Cyprus where I stayed for 6 nights in late April/early May of 2009 with my cousin. The booking was made via Expedia.co.uk and worked out at approximately £200 for 2 of us sharing a twin apartment (just £100 each basically). Before I confirmed the booking through Expedia I went off and did a bit of research on the hotel to make sure I wasn?t getting something that was cockroach infested. The hotel?s website, although fairly basic in appearance, made the hotel look pleasant enough and I sent an email to the hotel asking what amenities were included in the rooms/apartments. HPB SUPERB! APARTMENTS

Advantages: Beautiful, Peaceful, Ample parking and easy to find.
Disadvantages: Isolated, Peaceful No nightlife.

I am going to review the Apartments and the complex and the surrounding areas. ********************** Location ********************** The Trossachs is located around an hour northwest of Stirling and within an hour of Glasgow. The are a number of small towns with lots of pubs, shops and Edinburgh woolen mill shops around. There is Aberfoyle and Callender within 10 minutes drive which both have an array of shops and tourist centers. Around the area near the hotel is a number of large rocky mountains and mountain streams all within walking distance of the hotel. There are also three beuatiful lochs within 5 to 10 minutes that can be cycled round or just to sit by for a picnic, we took advantage of the picnic sites around the lochs quite frequently...

Review of Tigh Moor Trossachs Holiday Apartments

Terralta Apartments are the best

Advantages: Loads of Entertainment, lovely staff, Easy to get to the bus stop.
Disadvantages: It stands upon a steep hill which isn't that good for people with Health Problems

...I stayed here in 2005 and I went again in May 2007 for two weeks. I enjoyed everything about my Holiday to Benidorm(Where Terralta resides) that I would give the entire holiday a 10 out of 10. This apartment is mainly for people with Children, but the older people like it just as much. The only problem with going to these apartments is the steep hill that leads up to the apartments. So if you have High Blood Pressure, bad legs or back then this is not a good idea, but saying that there is a bus service that stops directly outside, which takes you to the new town for only 1 euro. These Apartments are not that far from the main centre of Benidorm so if you fancy a walk instead of getting the bus, its really not that far. There is two Swimming Pools, one inside and one outdoors. The inside pool is for when the Adults need to get away...

Althay Apartments - Cheap and Cheerful

Advantages: Clean, cheap, friendly staff, internet, phonebox, onsite shop
Disadvantages: Small pool, bad pool showers, stale towels, tasteless decor

...We booked our holiday to Fuerteventura for the12th-19th September 2007. Being September it was guaranteed to be pretty hot, as opposed to Spain or Greece, and was about the only place in our budget that was somewhere a little different to your usual Spanish or Grecian holiday. We chose Costa Calma as we were informed it had the best beaches on the island. The Althay Apartments looked sweet, unlike the high rise complexes found elsewhere on a budget holiday. For one week the apartment was £117 self catering so only £58.50 each. The flights were £145 each so £290 and the transfers £31 each so £62. The total was £469 for two people. Not the cheapest you can find but a very modest budget! Ideal for the student budget we had. We arranged a transfer taxi coach type thing from the airport which took a little longer than an hour...
