Whats your Business Worth?????

Advantages: Can keep server up during power cut and surge supression
Disadvantages: Not much apart from weight..Ealier versions of the management software caused server crashes

...Don't get me wrong this a gret product with excellent support. Thje one thing that let it down was the management software.. the software shipped with the Ups (uninteruptible power supply) had a glitch which caused servers running windows 2000/2003 to crash for no apparent reason. This issue was quickly fixed and updates for the powerchute management software is available from APC's website. The product itself is designed to keep server up and running for as long as possible during a power cut. This verision and some of the earlier version of the smartups ups have built in surge management to filter high and low mains power. WOW!!

Advantages: Awesome Battery Backup
Disadvantages: Heavy!!!

...Bought one to keep my server and comm's kit up. Boy o boy does it do the job, for no less than 2 hours. Running 2 Servers, 2 PC's and comm's cab!! In daily use this UPS could run a business with no problems, with all the flexibility that most network managers are after. When it arrived, it was wrapped like a small house, and weighed as much as a car. It was immediately put into action and has only been turned off once, to fit an APC Network Management card. It comes with all the needed cables and an adapter to cut a plug off a lead and make it UPS Compatible. The software comes in the box, but you can download the latest one off APC's Website as there was an issue with the version 6 software and a security thing running out. Definetly a worthwhile purchase, and would recommend anyone else to buy it as well!!!...

Is it worth buying? it is!!!!

Advantages: small, reliable to use
Disadvantages: Cost is a bit too much

...flexible. The USB wire is not big in length but you can carry it around with you as it is very light and can just fit into your pocket. I like this product because I normally carry around my digital camera with me and if the camera is full, I wont have to delete it as I would just have to stop near a computer and use the APC USB cable to download the pictures to the computer by using the USB cable and I would then be able to send it by email and this just tells you that the USB cable can be useful. I would recommend this product....
