Apollo Ride On Scooter

Advantages: Range, Speed, Fun
Disadvantages: No safety cut out, heavy on land

...I rode the Apollo AV1 this weekend when I hired one from a local dive school here in Lanzarote. I use the word "rode" deliberately because it was fitted with the optional "saddle." What a fantastic experience! You actually sit down on the scooter, so that it is between your legs. There is then a pull lever with six positions on it to control the speed. Leaving it on speed one is basically and idle with the prop just turning, but maximum is awesome, flying through the water at around 3 knots. You literally "fly", controlling turns, ascents and descents by adjusting your fins like an aircraft - it's even possible to loop the loop! Battery life is excellent at 80 minutes on a full charge, and the maximum depth rating is 50 meters. The unit is heavy to haul around on land, but is just right in the water, being slightly negatively...

Apollo Mayhem

Advantages: Nice to ride, Comfortale, affordable, easy to maintain and built like a tank.
Disadvantages: Rusts quickley and is Very Heavy.

...I have a 1989 Apollo Mayhem MKI which is the original, they made them up until 2002. If you want a hardcore off road bike the this is not for you, as it would shake it's self to pieces. However as a 21 speed road bike it is good. It has a smooth ride, a nice driving position, a nice set of gears (shimano 21 speed grip shifts) which seem to change with out a problem. The Promax V style brakes can stop a bus, They are very good brakes and they do stop you quickly and safely when you need them to. The bike I find very nippy and easy to manoeuvre at high and low speeds, this is a quality that is hard to find in full sized hard-tail mountain bike's. The problems the bike has are few and far between, but. Rust, It rusts very quickly my Mayhem is very rusty (round the handle bars, the bottom of the frame and the rear fork's have badly rusted...

Apollo Justice Ace Attorney - latest in this Nintendo DS series

Advantages: Fun game, good graphics and sound, interesting and lots of game play
Disadvantages: Shame there aren't a couple more cases

...This review is for the Nintendo DS game, Ace Attorney Apollo Justice. The game was developed and published by Capcom and is a detective game where you are the attorney Apollo Justice, and have to get your defendants found not guilty. The aim of the game is to work through and try to find all the pieces of evidence that you need to get your client off and get a not guilty verdict from the court. It?s a two part process, where firstly you have to find all the right evidence, and then secondly, you have to present that evidence in court, cross examine witnesses, in a bid to get your clients off. There are four cases in the game in total which you have to complete. For me, the court scenes were the most fun to play. You have to watch the other witnesses very carefully, trying to spot any signs that they might be lying. You can at any stage...

Should Have Been Called Apollo 12a

Advantages: Ron Howard has done his homework to bring us a realistic film showing the true events of this sad Apollo mission.
Disadvantages: I cannot see any. This film contains great actors acting at their best!

...This Ron Howard directed film is based on the true events surrounding Apollo 13’s mission to the moon, which sadly had to be aborted due to an explosion in the oxygen tank. It goes into the lives of each of the Astronauts as they build up to mission launch. The astronauts, Jim Lovell (Tom Hanks), Fred Haise (Bill Paxton) and Ken Mattingly (Gary Sinise), go through the usual checks and tests. ...Well this is the printer i have on my computer at the moment. To me it's a good printer but old. The quality of the pictures when it prints on the hole is usually ok, not amazing, not terrible. It does the right colours and things and doesn't mess your pictures up. The speed of it printing as I've said it is average as it's not super speed but it's not reeeeal slow. It's an ok speed because I'm not a mad freak who sits watching my printer printing paper and having races with different printers. The colour sensitivity is ok as it doesn't go wrong unless you smudge it the second it comes out of the printer otherwise it smudges a bit but not terribly. It's good for colour. The reliability is ace as the good old Apollo has never failed me because it's very reliable. Iv'e never had a fault in it and had to get it fixed...

.... The site www.film.at also carries the film schedules for the Apollokino, so you can find out when to go and at what time. To get there, your best bets are either the 13a, 14a or 57a buses, or it is a couple of minutes walk from Neubaugasse U-Bahn (on the U3) on the Mariahilferstrasse, and it is just round the corner from Haus des Meeres – an aquarium based in a former Flakturm (a remnant of the Nazi occupation of Vienna – and whose 30 foot concrete walls are about the only thing guaranteed to survive 1000 years from the Third Reich!) and the Foltermuseum – torture museum. You would be forgiven for thinking that a 12 screen cinema complex would have to be a contemporary carbuncle, but the Apollo pre-dates the multiplexes that we have all become so familiar with, although admittedly it is now run by the Cineplexx group...

...In the 9 weeks since I arrived in Vienna, I have been to the cinema 8 times. 6 of those times I went to the Apollo on the 6th Dirstict which should indicate immediately that it’s an ok place. Back in 1998, the last time I was in Austria, I also went to see “Grease” here – my first journey into German dubbed films on a big screen. This cinema claims to have the biggest screens in Austria though that’s not saying much is it...? Really though, they’re quite adequate. My choosing of this venue over others is 3 fold : 1. It’s near where I live – maybe 10 mins walk if I’m strolling, 5 if I’m in power-walk mode (not often) 2. They have a good variety of films – there are 12 screens and currently showing films include Shrek, Crocodile Dundee in LA, Tomcats at Tomb Raider...
