There are many new features to the iPod Classic. The sound quality is great and the video quality is just as good as a TV. With 160GB of memory you will never have to worry about running out of space ever again. The iPod its self is very durable. I have dropped my iPod lots of times and it still looks brand new. The screen is a bit like a small wide screen TV but its great for watching TV shows and movies. I wouldn't recommend that any one buys a second hand iPod, as they are quite often broken. When you used to have the 2 GB iPod Nano you was always worrying about how much space you had left but now everything is going to change. The iPod Classic is very durable and is practically unbreakable. The battery life on the iPod Classic is excellent. You can listen to music for up to 40 hours and you can watch videos for up to 7 hours. The memory is the best thing with the iPod Classic. You can hold up to 40,000 songs or 200 hours of video. ...Initially I bought this for my commute to work. Having owned a IPod video 30 gig which suffered long term abuse, and being dropped countless times - I decided to splash out and treat myself. The IPod classic - well, there is not much difference functionality then the IPod video. Opening any product made by apple is a joy in itself - one does wonder how long they deliberate over the pretty box! Getting over the box design, the IPod is neatly presented - with the contents kept in individual packaging. Once I tapped the play button, the usual setup menu was a welcoming sight and I continued the usual setup process. However you can setup the IPod by hooking it directly to the laptop and launching ITunes. Synced the IPod up to my library - and have been happy since! ...it highly. That was all well and good until it came to carrying it around, its big and bulky.. Yes it's a great MP3 players and great for movies but you cant put it in your pocket. A few months or so ago I bit the bullet and decided to research a little on iPods, the classic was about to be released and looked promising and the prices had dropped a huge amount. A 160gb classic for under £200 did seem like a great option. I threw caution to the wind and thought what the hell, a friend promised to buy it off of me if I wasnt happy so I couldnt really lose! I ordered my iPod and it arrived the next day (The wonders of the internet) It took minutes for me to have it hooked up to my PC and charging while I put some music on it. Advantages: An excellent MP3 player with a huge hard drive.
Disadvantages: So much space available you may not know exactly what to do with it all.

...Once I bought the iPhone I was dying for another bite of the Apple. I have a huge and ever expanding collection of music and therefore need a large MP3 player to hold it all on. The iPhone is great, but with a 16GB hard drive it just isn't quite large enough to store my masses of music on. From Abba right through to ZZ Top; the 160GB Apple iPod can hold it all and there is still plenty of space left over for my ever expanding music collection. Having so far taken up 100GB I think I'm doing quite well at filling it so far, but there's still plenty more that can be stored and I doubt I'll be stretching my player to its full capacity for a long while yet. 100GB is the total amount of music I have amassed during the last 5 or so years, and to tell the truth a lot of the music on there I probably shan't be listening to ever again. ...Why would you want to have so much memory inside your MP3 player you might ask, well, why not? Before I purchased the 160GB iPod Classic, I owned a 256mb Goodmans MP3 player, which only held 30-40 songs. I then was given a 2GB iPod Nano for my birthday and I thought that 2GB was a lot considering I didn't really have much music on my computer at the time. But as I started downloading music and buying more CD's, I started to acquire a lot of tracks that would require a lot of space. Then I had so much, it was quite a task trying to sift out 2GB of music worthy enough to go onto my iPod. Then I started downloading U2 bootlegs at 100MB (approx.) a show and this was the final straw, I was in need of a bigger capacity MP3 player. ...I bought my Ipod Classic around a month ago to basically be able to carry all my albums round with me at all times and have a couple of my favourite movies to hand if I am ever bored. I used to have an Ipod Nano and thought that 2 GB of memory would be plenty for what I needed but soon found that I couldn't fit no way near half of my albums on there and had to cherry pick my favourite songs due to there being not enough space available. Now having 80GB it's surprising how much you can actually fit on it. I currently have around 15 movies, a season of lost and over a 100 albums and am still well under 30GB. It's unbelievable. Unless you would like to put all your movie collection on to your Ipod then I can definitely assure you that an 80GB capacity would more than cover your requirements.
