Nano docks can now be found inexpensively
Review of Apple iPod Nano Dock MP3 player docking station by
alphamusic
Advantages: Good industrial design, holds nano neatly, can be found inexpensively
Disadvantages: No Infra red, will not fit in dock with case
...The Apple Nano dock is a very simple device that allows the user to plug their iPod nano (1st generation only) into the computer/charger and hold the Nano upright by pushing it into a docking cradle. The dock does not come with any cables and if a charger is required it must be purchased separately. The dock also has a 3.5" minijack which is useful if the user wants to plug the Nano into speakers or a stereo in a convenient and attractive manor. Unlike the larger iPod dock, the Nano dock has no infra red port, so you can not remotely control the functions of the Nano while it is in the dock. Since the 1st generation Nano has been out of production for around two years, high street stores have been offering this item on clearance and I was able to find it for £1. At a low price like this it is well worth the money, but if you have to pay...

Apple iPod Nano Product RED (3rd Generation)
Review of Apple IPOD NANO Product RED (3.GEN.) by
olliebradley
Advantages: Supports a charity, great new OS, new interface, great quality, looks smart, very easy to use
Disadvantages: Apple iPod disadvantages, i.e. - no support for WMA, restrictive use of iTunes
...In September 2007, digital media-leader Apple released their 3rd generation iPod Nano. This latest version is a real upgrade from the previous Nano devices. Apple have taken all the features from the popular iPod video and shrunk them down into a smaller, more affordable package.
The first thing you notice from previous generations of the Nano is that Apple have taken the classic and made it smaller. The device feels great to hold, being incredibly thin and light. This generation of Nanos plays back video, which can just about be viewed comfortably on the 2 inch screen. It also features Apple's latest operating system which has many improvements over the previous version, such as Cover Flow (where you can scroll through all your album art in a smooth, 3D transition), a slightly more accessible interface and a few extra re...

NANO NANO NANO
Review of Apple iPod Nano 2GB white by
x_hannah0708_x
Advantages: small, lightweight and compact
Disadvantages: scratches easily
...well what to say about the ipod nano? of course being apple its very stylis and chic with its white front and chrome back. With smooth corners and shiney edges. Its got a beautiful clour screen and a clicker wheel instead of the usual mp3 buttons (play pause stop ffwd, rwd)
Some would argue that there isnt enough space on this but, i think 2gb or 4gb is enough room for anyone because who has 10000 songs realy?! not many people! Although i guess people will argue witht this when they write a coment... wouldnt suprise me.
Apparently ipods are always breaking well i dont know bt ive had mine ages and its never broken and ive never had a problem with the ipod or the apple headphones.
Admitedly the sound quality on the earphones isnt as good as that on iriver earphones but ithas ample sound quality for any ordinary listener.
The price...

Red iPod Nano Special Edition 8GB
Review of Apple iPod nano RED Special Edition 8GB by
abisurveying
Advantages: Sleek design, style and sound quality
Disadvantages: Need to purchase accessories
...Having heard mixed reviews of the reliability of various aspects of the iPod nano, I ordered this product with some apprehension.
However, this 2nd generation nano has refuted all the negative claims made against the nano.
The design is exactly what you would expect from Apple - sleek and stylish, minimalistic and practical, something to be proud to be seen with! This iPod is surprisingly easy to use, with a simple click wheel system which is very responsive to the touch.
Uploading songs from iTunes is done at the touch of a button, and organised on the iPod just as they have been on iTunes, including automatically created playlists such as 'Most Played'.
The 8gb memory means that the iPod can store up to 2,000 songs - plenty for even avid music collectors. And, most importantly, the sound quality is simply flawless. CD quality sound...

Ipod Nano 4gb 3rd gen
Review of Apple iPod Nano video 4GB Third Generation by
Loadsakidz
Advantages: small
Disadvantages: not so easy for first time user
...The item itself is excellent, easy to use, sounds great, and fits neatly into any pocket. The only problem is with the loading of all my cd's into itunes to put themon my nano. I had to import all the song titles manually and then search the internet for the cd artwork and drag it across as itunes had NONE!!!. When I then put it all onto my Nano when the cd was playing only the first track showed the artwork so I had to copy it to every track for every album. To say that Apple have sold millions of these devices over many years (we're now on the 3rd Gen) it's about time they got the itunes updated with a lot more info....

Ipod nano v2
Review of Apple iPod Nano 4GB Second Generation by
Crutcho
Advantages: Small, slim, good desingn and many more
Disadvantages: Battery starts to lose charge quickly after about 4 months
...The ipod nano is quite good its definatly worth the money i paid for it.
The sound is excellent, the screen is excellent it looks very good and its extremly slim and small. I am very impressed with mine but i do find that the battery life isnt very good for very long. After about 4 or 5 months the battery starts to go very quickly and i have had to take my ipod back under apples 12 month garentee. I was pleased however that apple changed the battery free of charge and didnt make an issue over it. I find that the ipod earphones are very good they can be brought seperatly for a price of £19.00 so that shows how good they are well at least if you belive you get what you pay for. You can put music, games and pictures on the ipod which you can get from cds or from the apple music store. At the time i brought mine it cost me £129.99 but i...

The reason why apple has a cult following
Review of Apple iPod mini 4 GB Blue by
zarko
Advantages: Small, sleek, stylish
Disadvantages: Out of production due to the introduction of ipod nano
...I bought the 4GB 2nd generation ipod mini in May 2005.One of the things that impressed me most about this genereation of ipod mini is its vastly improved battery life.
Having owned the 1st generation mini, I know the only matter that hindered it from being 'perfect' is its dismal battery life. After using the 1st generation mini for a few months, a single charge could only give me a couple of hours of playtime.
However, with the 2nd generation mini, a single charge could last me the whole week!Even after using it for almost half a year now, the battery is going just as strong.
Some changes from the 1st generation mini includes a much brighter (and beautiful) matt finish. The colour of the arrow/pause/play/menu buttons now corresponds with colour of the mini.Sound quality remains the same - satisfactory as always for all ipod...

Apple ipod nano
Review of Apple iPod Nano video 8GB Third Generation by
Gillyflower58
Advantages: Stylish, good quality for sound and pictures
Disadvantages: The click wheel is a bit fiddly and takes some getting used to.
...I bought this product for my husband's birthday. The packaging is very sleek, not easy to remove product though without feeling that you're going to snap something. The small control wheel is a bit fiddly and on first use he accidentally set the language to Chinese. The manuals on the website are good, it only took 2 hours to find out how to get back to English, which incidentally is american english.
The capacity of these little things are amazing, sound and pictures are excellent and the ipod itself looks good.
Good value for money, I thought its range of features is incredible, and the whole look of it is very good. Not too impressed with the earphones but other than that, a good buy for a present....

Musictastic
Review of Apple iPod nano 4 GB by
Aaron-Jay
Advantages: Great look, feel and has many good features
Disadvantages: Video playback, lack of storage
...The Ipod Nano 2nd Generation 4GB is a really good product and has now lasted me 3 years. The only bad things i can think of that i have come across are that exposure to water breaks the ipod ( just been on holiday, jumpen in the pool with my ipod in my pocket :'( ) The ipod did not have vidoe playback and the storage, i have filled the ipod quite easily and i really should have bought the ipod nan 2nd gen 8GB but the ipod stores well over 1000 songs which is great :) this product is very cheap but at this moment i think it is a bit out dated by the new nano 3rd Gen and all the other new ipod products. The full ipod gets scratched quite easily and i had it scratched within the 1st 30 minits of having it which i a big disadvantage. But overall this product is very good and has never done me wrong....

The new ipod generation
Review of Apple iPod nano 4 GB Green by
ILIKEMONEY
Advantages: Lots of memory, small, long battery life
Disadvantages: scrathes easily
...the main ones in this review.
- Apple-
Apple is an American based company that has branched out worldwide over the years. They mainly make computers but have since then made the apple ipod. A new musical media player that stormed the world and is an every day product to most people in the UK now. Apple have been very successful in this and are now a multi-billion dollar business.
-The Nano-
As I explained at the start there are 2 generations of ipod nano. The 2nd gen. is smaller, has longer battery life and has brighter back light (plus more). The 1st gen. of nano was only available in white or black. They had a metal back plate and it wasn't uncommon for them to snap! But where over all great. The 2nd gen. Are now a lot better, they come in a range of colours, don't have a metal back plate and don't have as many problems as the 1st gen...
