Advantages: An excellent MP3 player with a huge hard drive.
Disadvantages: So much space available you may not know exactly what to do with it all.

...Once I bought the iPhone I was dying for another bite of the Apple. I have a huge and ever expanding collection of music and therefore need a large MP3 player to hold it all on. The iPhone is great, but with a 16GB hard drive it just isn't quite large enough to store my masses of music on. From Abba right through to ZZ Top; the 160GB Apple iPod can hold it all and there is still plenty of space left over for my ever expanding music collection. Having so far taken up 100GB I think I'm doing quite well at filling it so far, but there's still plenty more that can be stored and I doubt I'll be stretching my player to its full capacity for a long while yet. 100GB is the total amount of music I have amassed during the last 5 or so years, and to tell the truth a lot of the music on there I probably shan't be listening to ever again. Review of Apple iPod classic 160 GB

The Godfather of all MP3 players

Advantages: Great sound quality, and amazing battery life. Not bad price either.
Disadvantages: Nothing really.

...I've had this iPod for about 6 months now as my old ipod mini broke after having it for at least 3 years. I think this iPod is the best so far. The sound quality is amazng and the battery life is much longer than ever before, i may sound a little bias, but i really do love this iPod! The battery will last for up to a week and thats with me listening to it for at least 3 hours a day, plus watching the occasional movie. The memory is also huuuuge on this one. Not as big as its boss, the 160Gb one, but still extremely large. I have over 20 movies on it and over 5,000 songs. For me, its the best MP3 player on the market by a country mile. Not at a bad price either, even though it is a lot higher than other MP3 players on the market, but this is probably because it is the best one out there! The price is a lot better than the nano...

Best mp3 player I've ever had

Advantages: Sleek, useable, high quality sound / pictur, good battery life
Disadvantages: scratches easily, cannot use songs from programs like napster

...I got my ipod classic in december and have to say it's the best mp3 player I've had. I like many owners of the classic have not filled it with music, I have less than 20gb on it, however it's good to have the space when you don't have to pay that much extra for it. Video play is very clear, sound quality is excellent (previous problem with low volume is now gone) and if you have ever used an ipod before you will already be used to the click wheel. The only problems are that the metallic back scratches easily so it needs a case really and that you can't put napster songs onto it. The battery life is fantastic when listening to music, I can go without charging mine for around a week with regular use. The battery doesn't fare quite as well with video but tthat would be a problem for any player. Overall great quality, nice design...

Great MP3 Player - Simplicity and Elegance

Advantages: Looks great, airtight integration with iTunes

Some may find the iPod nano difficult to hold as I did. You will require a case for the iPod nano, otherwise it will become very scratched. Despite being called the 'chunky' iPod, I think that it looks better then then previous generation iPod nano. The previous generation of iPod nano were more of a difficult kind of iPod compared to the other iPod. However this 3rd generation feels like a shrunk down version. Features wise this MP3 player is great. Obviously it plays music, and will hold an average person's music collection. Video looks really sharp, if not small. However it is not suitable for widescreen video (16:9), as most the screen ends up being filled with black letterbox bars...

It is 13cmx13cmx2½cm which is about average size, so its more bag sized than pocket sized. It comes with an adapter and ear bud type headphones. It only has a small display area, so only displays limited information on it, such as which track and album or how long the song has been playing for. MP3 Player MP-906, Cheap and Cheerful

Advantages: Cheap! small, user friendly, no-one will ever want to steal it and you can replace cheaply if it breaks!
Disadvantages: No locking device, non standard headphones, obviously not hi-tech!

...it in case anyone was stuck wondering why it didn't work. ~~Music Quality~~ I have to say I'm not fussy about these things so can't give you an in depth analysis. I could hear the songs fine and there was no hissing or background noise. ~~Disadvantages~~ Now I don't mean to be fussy, obviously this is probably the cheapest MP3 player you will ever buy, but I do have a couple of quibbles. ~Locking~ I came to throw my new player in my bag as per usual and realized there is no way of locking it. As I tend to carry mine round with me all day I am used to locking it so that if you accidentally press the buttons it won't switch on. The Technika has no way of doing this so I have to make sure I don't knock the off button while I'm listening to it and then find somewhere safe to put it when I'm not using it. Stunning little 256mb MP3 player for under £5

While picking up some essentials I spotted the Technika MP-906 mp3 player which Tesco are currently retailing for £4.97 and so decided that at under £5 what the hell.
