Apple MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.5 GHz - 17" TFT
Advantages: nice screen, good battery life, fast specs
Disadvantages: large size (price?)
...Apple mac-books, where to start...
ok, so to start,
it is an apple, that means you get a solid quality product and on the whole very good customer are.
this particualar apple is deffinatly more suited to being a media center than other laptops. At first glance you realise that it is a fairly large laptop, this allows for a big screen, which being an apple ffers clear vivid displays, unfortunatly the big screen increases the overal size and also uses more battery, however, the 4.5 hour yattery is still very good for an entertainment laptop.
The laptops technical specs include a very fast 2.5 ghz dual core proccesor which is very fast, the dual core allows it to tackle multiple tasks quicly as well as increasing the overall speed of the laptop.
The price is quite steep however, but i believe, if given the money, it is...

The Apple of my eye (iMac Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz - 20")
Advantages: Reliable, fast processing, stylish, easy to use
Disadvantages: Could do with a couple more USB ports
...This in my opinion, has to be one of the best purchases one could ever make. Upon getting my iMac, I have and never will go back to using a PC! The iMac is so fast and efficient, and so easy to use. Graphically it makes sense, and things are ordered logically, and it is very easy to find files and folders.
The 20" screen size is plenty big enough, and I have purchased a TubeStick to watch TV on my Mac. It is just like having a smaller flat screen TV.
I love the design of the iMac; it is sleek and looks great. The thin keyboard is ultra trendy!
In terms of installing and uninstalling software, I have found it to be a piece of cake. Again, everything is logical and if you don't like something, just sling it in the trash can!
I have never had any problems in terms of it crashing, or not working from first boot. It is incredibly reliable...

Apple iMac Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz - 20" TFT
Advantages: speed, sound, generous size monitor, Leopard OS
Disadvantages: Power/Sleep light missing
...Duration of ownership:2 Weeks
Strengths: Sleek and beautiful design, simple and elegant operating system, wireless keyboard and mouse
Weaknesses: Power/Sleep light missing
Overall Evaluation:I have used Macs (5th one) since mid-90s and have always appreciated their design and OS strengths. Overall, this is an great computer. Everything worked perfectly right out of the box without checking the manual. Considering what is included on this iMac, it is an impressive array of features. About the only peripheral you need to add is a printer! You sure get a lot of features for the money.Price is always a concern, especially compared to PCs. With this model, they have added more "bells and whistles" and not raising the price.Apple has finally gotten its act together by redesigning the popular iMac....

iMac Core 2 Due 20" TFT
Advantages: Screen, Webcam, amazing processer speed
Disadvantages: With mine the Wifi can sometimes be an issue
...I have had my Imac for 5 months now. I bought it from the Apple store in London, where I must say the customer service is amazing and the staff had an answer to all my questions!
Before this Imac I had an Ibook G4 which was the best thing since sliced bread, thats what made me want one of these.
The IMac is all an all in one computer, all the bits are in the screen with only the keyboard and mouse separate. This makes it great for people with not so much space.
This computer is very stylish and gets positive comments from people whenever they come round, the whole unit is a sort of brushed aluminum colour and my favorite bit is the small brushed aluminum keyboard, which has nice sized buttons and a nice feel to it (ie not big and chunky keys)
The IMac loads up in no time, unlike a Windows machine and within less than say 30 seconds...

iMac Core 2 Duo 2.16 Ghz -20 TFT
Advantages: Ease of use / great display / great sound
Disadvantages: High purchase price
...quickly without having hours of training.
The iMac also has wireless internet connection built in, for use in conjunction with a wireless router. The most difficult part of setting this up is the security, which should never be side stepped. Ensure you always employ security measures if surfing wirlessly. If you are surfing 'wired' the built in protection that all iMac's offer through its Firewall are very good. iMac's work different to Windows based PC's, which makes them more secure when online. If you want to retain your Windows software, this Intel processor can handle dual platform installation. This means you can install Windows XP on the iMac, and your Windows based software, if you really wanted to.
Apple offer 'Applecare Protection' which is highly recommended. Your iMac will come with 12 months cover but the extension to three years...

Apple Imac 20" Core Duo Intel 2ghz
Advantages: Simply stunning both in looks and ingenuity
Disadvantages: Ability to upgrade parts - can only really change memory RAM
...I bought my Imac 4 months ago via the online Apple site and it has never faltered. This bit of kit comes in a tidy all in one screen! No more a massive desktop clump of heavy machinery lying on the floor to keep your feet warm over those winter months.
I use my Imac for design/media purposes mostly but have just discovered that I can now connect my Xbox 360 up to my imac so i can stream movies music and pictures to it via the program connect360! fantastic! this also comes with the obvious thing most PC users are enraged about the lack of.....a right click mouse button! the infrared qualities also save you getting a hairy mouseball.
The addition of \"front row\" similar to the windows media center is fabulous, the mac comes complete with a little mini remote which baffled me for a time wondering where to put this in a safe place...

Apple MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.26 GHz - 13.3" TFT - excellent!
Advantages: portable, runs very fast, large storage with TimeMachine application for backing up your work
Disadvantages: some problems with using Safari, though this may be due to the wireless network I am using, costs!
...In my opinion, the Apple Macbook Pro is an ideal laptop. As a student, I find that it meets all my needs - I can store plenty of music, photos etc even though I bought the cheapest one with the smallest memory.
The system operates very fast and comes with both Firefox and Safari.
My only criticism is that it only comes with textedit and so you have to buy iWorks for around £65. However, despite this it is good value for money and I don't regret spending my 2 years worth of part-time earnings on it!
It has everything I want from a laptop and is ideally portable and good for watching films despite the smaller screen size. Another feature I particularly liked was that it has a light up keyboard for when you are in darker rooms - you can adjust the brightness of the keyboard the same as you can for the screen. Looks very impressive!
It is...

Apple iMac 20" Screen, 2.4GHz processor
Advantages: Fantastic OS, easy to use, fast and efficient, miniscule threat of viruses
Disadvantages: Overpriced in terms of hardware, not as much software available compared to Windows
...and needs to be learnt. I believe Macs can be truly beneficial to the older generation.
A few drawbacks would be the fact that the version of MSN available isn't up to par with the Windows version. However, there are plenty of non-official clients which match its capabilities. The range of software isn't quite as vast as for a Windows PC but I bought this with the knowledge that I do not run a great number of different programs and the ones I do run are Mac compatible. As Apple's share of the market grows, software will no doubt become more and more widely available.
Connectivity to the iPod is fantastically simple. One plug and everything springs to life. It is scarily independent.
Another great fact is the extreme scarcity of viruses. As they are almost always in .exe format, I can download from the internet without the worry...

I MAC 20 INCH
Advantages: great for graphics
Disadvantages: need to buy extra sofwears
...Firstly This is a great pc to own,
I paid £900 for this Apple I mac and this is with all the extras for exampe, 3 years protection, apple works, apple email and other features program, wireless keyboard , wireless mouse. There reason it was so cheap for me is because if you are a student you get nearly £300 discount . this a tip from me to you all , even if you take a friend or family who is a student you still get the discount.
Now lets talk about the IMAC woo hoo
It has a 20 inch screen but also comes in 24 inch screen too , trust me not allot diferance. the most amazing thing is the hard drive is inside the screen , so you dont have a separet bulky harddrive to store.
Everything is in the screen the cd rom is on top right hand corner and its very hard to fiynd it it took me two days to figure out where to stick the CD heheh...

An Apple A Day Can Keep The Boredom Away!
Advantages: Easy to install and use, Fun and flexible to use, Safe and Secure
Disadvantages: Could be too pricey for some to consider which is a shame, No in-bulilt card reader
...As well as owning an Apple iMac 20", I constantly use the same model at work and have done so for several years. I am responsible for training people how to use this Mac in an educational institution. I train a diverse range of people of widely differing abilities, and the people vary from young children to octogenarians! It is a very rewarding job, as I get to develop my expertise in this area and I get to see how my clients flourish with their newly acquired IT skills. As a result, my review is both based on of my experience of this product and the experiences I have witnessed from my clients.
The first point I would like to make, is that I would thoroughly recommend this Mac to everyone regardless of ability. A lot of people put up barriers when you say, "Apple Mac" to them - they don't want to know, because they immediately...
