Unless you can afford it, i wouldnt go straight for the newest iPod as soon as they are released because the price falls alot after a few months. Now, would I recommend 4G users to upgrade to this? Ipod 20gb with Click Wheel

Advantages: Light, stylish, great storage space, robust
Disadvantages: Poor battery life, easily scratched

An additional battery pack can be purchased which you connect through the docking point and it sticks to the back of the ipod though I found it increases the bulk of the ipod and is not really that effective. I would only recommend using it on long journeys or if you will not have the oppertunity to recharge your Ipod. The battery fully charges in a couple of hours and can be charged in 3 ways: by a mains adapter, through a USB post on a PC or through a Firewire port on a PC. Getting songs on to the Ipod is fairly easy, the iTunes software automatically converts all your songs and you can have it automatically update your ipod or only update the songs you want which saves time. Overall I highly recommend the ipod 20gb as it is a much cheaper option to the new photo ipod which unless you really want to store...

...The iPod has become the most popular hard-disk based MP3 Player. I chose the 20GB model even though 15GB is enough for me. This was because for a small amount more you can get a load of accessories that I would have bought anyway and 5GB extra storage. I chose Amazon to buy mine from because ordering direct from Apple would have cost £40 more and over a week longer. I also ordered the "iPod Dock Connector to USB2 + Firewire" cable because my PC uses USB2 and has no Firewire ports. When I decided to buy it I was wondering if it would be too simple for a more technical person like myself, but I have not found it to be. Installation is simple, put the CD in and do the usual click next several times routine and the Software is installed (iTunes 4.1 is included on the CD, but I already had iTunes 4.5 so there was no need to install it...

...Since purchasing my iPod Touch on the day they launched I've been nothing but pleased with my purchase. The storage space isn't currently an issue for me, I could however see it becoming a problem in the future, or for people with a large library of music. In that case I would recommend the 32GB model, or perhaps the iPod Classic. I did encounter one problem with the headphones breaking , but Apple quickly sent me a replacement and the broken ones were sent back, free of charge. Advantages: Holds alot of music. Design.
Disadvantages: Not overly durable. 8 hours charge

...or ipods generally are like it, in just under 2 years im on my 4th ipod and I've had to pay another 50 odd pound on top of what it cost in the first place. To me they don't seem that durable. Don't get me wrong I love them, but they don't seem to be that well made. Also they scratch to pieces withing a few weeks. especially on the screen and on the mirrored backs. I know you can but cases but I find ipods awkward to use sometimes with them on. What amazes me is that people always call mine bulky and too big because of all the nano's and mp3's now. I love Apple! IPods rock!

...I received my Ipod from my fiance for Christmas 2007 and I also received a docking station with it. It is 8GB in size and currently I have around 1500 songs, 100 photos and a couple of small videos stored on it and still have over 1GB of in space. It holds everything that I want it to very comfortably. The iPod is very easy to use with the click wheel making it easy to make your selection and the other buttons very straightforward to use. I have had it freeze on me twice recently but this is easily solved by holding down the menu and the middle button for around 10 seconds and waiting for it to reset. The ITunes software is very easy to use and downloadable from the apple website making it simple to add your favourites to the device. The USB Charging lead required is supplied when you buy this as are the instantly recognisable...
