...the touch up and running at a apple store but you can only download music and not videos or podcasts at the present moment. There are new features that come with the new Ipod touches such as email, stocks and maps. I have not downloaded these features as the cost around £20 for the people who brought the ipod the first mouths it comes out and don't believe they will make much of a difference to how I would use my ipod. However, if I get good feedback from this review I will consider buying them and add another review to the 8gb Ipod Touch. Overall, the 8gb ipod touch is a good portable music and movie player. I would give it 8/10 as its good but defiantly not perfect yet. However, I would recommend it to anyone wanting to listen to music or watch movies as you can't really be disappointed with it.... ...Apple iPod Nano 8GB Black I personally love the new design of the Apple iPod Nano. They are very reliable and easy to use. The battery life is great and the video quality is outstanding. The graphics are excellent all round including the video playback. I have dropped my iPod so many times that I have lost count. They are very durable which is great if you are clumsy. With 8 GB of memory you can store about 2,000 songs or 8 hours of video or 7,000 photos, which you can browse whenever you want. The battery life on the iPod is also great. With one charge you can watch about 5 hours of video playback or 24 hours of audio playback. I paid about £130 for my iPod and it was worth every penny. There are so many features to the iPod Nano. ...important aspect of any mp3 player though is it's sound quality and if you can keep the earphones in this is indeed very good. I ported one of my own tracks to the device and could not hear a distinguishable difference between the original source and the mp3 version on the Apple. So with all this going for it why should you avoid buying one? Well lets start with the price. £130 for an 8GB player does seem a bit high even if it has got video playback. Considering Sumvision produce a 4GB device which can be found online for about £25 you really have to question if this iPod is really good value. Then there's the proprietry software with it's niggly DRM to protect the rights of the 'Arteestes' which means it's easy to get content from your PC to your iPod but not so easy to transfer it from Ipod to PC. ...I wanted an Apple iPod from when they were first introduced several years ago, but back then, they were quite expensive, so I was pleased when I received one for my birthday in March. My iPod Nano is the slimline black 8GB version. It has the capacity to store 2000 songs, which can be either downloaded from CD, via a computer or from the iTunes website, which is a huge music database, each song costing around 70 pence. The convenience of this, means you need only store songs you want and not have to pick and choose from an album. I usually find I only ever like one or two songs on an album, so it can be a costly method. The iPod nano comes with earphones, user guide booklet and USB cable connector, which allows the ipod to "sync" itself to the iTune "library" and also acts as a charger, taking power from the computer... ...THE LAPTOP. It is around £20 to buy an adaptor to charge the device through the mains. Overall: I am really happy with my iPod and would recommmend it to anybody. The 8 GB is enough for around 1500 songs. The sound is good. One word of warning the headphones are fragiles. I have had two pairs as they ware our quickly. At £25 for a set it may be worth buying some aftermarket replacements if they do ware out.... Read review

...its hard to write a review of a product like the Ipod touch, because every one of you have read everything about it somewhere else. I have to say that Ipod touch is simply something I've fallen in love with and find myself addicted to. I saw it in the Apple store before Christmas and I said to myself that this would be my next purchase. After pestering my parents, I got it for Xmas and they bought one for my sister as well (she is not into electronics) - she loved it almost as much as me and I've never seen her use her old MP3 player anywhere near as much as this. It is quite like the Iphone with the touch screen and you can do that pinch and zoom thing as well which i really like. The memory of 8gb is sooo big that I can store all my pictures and music and films on it and still have enough room to browse the web - YES you can search... Read review
