Advantages: Easy navigation, clear large screen, huge capacity, great looking, excellent value for money
Disadvantages: iTunes a little annoying, dodgy earphones

...I bought my Ipod Classic around a month ago to basically be able to carry all my albums round with me at all times and have a couple of my favourite movies to hand if I am ever bored. I used to have an Ipod Nano and thought that 2 GB of memory would be plenty for what I needed but soon found that I couldn't fit no way near half of my albums on there and had to cherry pick my favourite songs due to there being not enough space available. Now having 80GB it's surprising how much you can actually fit on it. I currently have around 15 movies, a season of lost and over a 100 albums and am still well under 30GB. It's unbelievable. Unless you would like to put all your movie collection on to your Ipod then I can definitely assure you that an 80GB capacity would more than cover your requirements. Classic Ipod 80G

Advantages: Looks good, easy to use, good for value.
Disadvantages: Freezes sometimes, repetitive use can hurt hand, screen a bit small.

...I purchased an Ipod classic and I must say that it is one of the best purchases I have made. It has a massive memory and easy to use with iTunes. Movies, TV programmes, music and photos, everything is on mine and it is so easy to add and take off things you don't require for a while. I have 80GB and I have 600 photos, 520 songs and 60 movies on it and I still have 40GB to go. Absolutely brilliant, my friend has just bought a 160GB and it is so easy to use he doesn't need my instruction to use it for the first time. With a large compacity this is certainly one for all generations and is great if you are travelling because you can take advantage of the long life battery and watch films, tv or listen to music while you travel....

Ipod Classic - Flop

...itself. A slighlty dissapointing purchase, wish i had got a touch now, although the memory on this ipod is far greater, if you want films and have a huge CD collection. One piece of advice, if you are planning to carry it around with you make sure you have an empty pocket, if accompanied by keys the ipod will definately not survive haha. Quality wise, it is fairly good, the ipod is standard but you must have good headphones, Apple insist that only ipod headphone will work well, but others can be bought from many web sites etc... Easy to use, as you would expect from an ipod. Video quality is good, sound quality on films is sometimes lacking clarity but not soo bad. Length of battery is a positive, over 30 hours means that you can go for days without charging. Value for money, perhaps, around £150-160 which is average...

Advantages: Quick, simple, large memory, long batterey life, compact, stylish.
Disadvantages: At first it is complicated to use

...satisfying to use, there is a built in search engine in this ipod so you can search your songs by lettrer or by word, this can be extremely usefull when you have over 100 songs because you dont have to seach through albums etc. Probably my favourite thing about the ipod classic is when you turn it off, it remembers where you turned it off and when it is turned back on it starts up where it was turned off, even in the middle of a tv show! Another thing i love about this device is the lock switch at the top which allows the user to lock the ipod to prevent accidental pressing of buttons. It has a contacts folder and a clock. If you are bored you could also try the games which are included free with the device. they are simple, easy to controll but give a good challenge that kept me interested. Downloading from itunes to the ipod takes only minuites...

...and scratches very easily, personally what i would recommend is purchasing a relatively decent case (£15ish) and due to the popularity of ipod cases you wont be left wanting for choice. Now enough with the aesthetics. Usability is something apple has always prided itself on and it definitely doesnt disappoint. The scroll wheel feels comfortable to use and it is very easy to select what you want with minimal fuss. This gives the ipod the edge over its creative competitors as their scroll system is deeply flawed as its very fiddly. Audio quality is where the ipod has been challeged in recent generations, but having conducted stringent tests with its competitors i can safely say that is audio quality is no worse than anything sony or creative can throw at it. ...road where cars and lorries are driving past constantly and i've never felt like i needed more volume) plus too much volume is bad for your ears lolo...overalll if you want to buy this ipod and are on a limited budget i'de go for it mind you it is slighlty slow e.g. loading up a film to watch takes 2 seconds aswell as chaging a song via scrolling down the song list. i have also felt that when i fast foarward a movie i can feel the machinery inside move so it is heavy duty and full onf memory...otherwise go for a 32 GB ipod touch much classier faster thinner and attractive. but the classic is worth the money....
