I used like £30 of amazon vouchers earned from dooyoo to get the ipod nano (3g) 4gb for £30 less than £90 the original sale price. Ok Im not a fan of ipods never have been and never will be. Apple are clever and stingy, you have to use itunes to put videos and stuff on the ipod, this was my first ipod ive had it for ages and put loads of my own movies on it already (not apples's!) The picture quality is absolutely SUPERB! best ive seen on any small device, considering the screen is a tiny 2" you'd think you could never watch the full length movie on it, but your wrong you can, and with style. ...When I held the iPod nano, if felt solid and well built in my hand. It is very small, and dissapears easily in your pocket. The click wheel is rather inconsistent, jumping down categories at times. The new UI (user interface) is rather slow, sometimes taking a few seconds to load a menu. Coverflow is pointless... BUT, for its functionality, great appearance, and price, it is a great player for the beginner buyer. Very easy to use and the itunes website and software is very easy to use also. The earphones are a bit poor quality but these are easily upgraded with many types now availabe. Battery life can be short when using to view films and also slow to convert films to correct format but this function is a bit pointless as the screen is too small for viewing full films... ...I'm not going to talk about the specifications in detail since you can browse it through the apple website and this review is going to be a bit personal. My experience with Ipods? - crap~~~ I have to say that ipod is ok~, they are not that great to have. First ipod i had was ipod 3G and that ipod was ok until one day, the screen broke on me, so i got a repair from Apple since i was under the one year guarantee however, whenever i received it, it was already broken. So i sent it off again, and which then i received a normal ipod which actually worked. I used this until the screen broke AGAIN, which then i totally gave up and did not buy another ipod for another year. Then Ipod Nano 2nd Generation came out and i was immediately stunned by the design. I didn't really care how much money i had in my bank and i just bought it for myself... Read review

...After a bike accident in which smashed my old ipod nano 1G and after 3 days in hospital without it to listen to i bought a IPOD NANO 3G Black 8GB, it i great the sound quality is good with new headphones however the ipod earphones are not great and it has a equalizer to match the sort of music you play, and the amount to choose from is huge, the screen is incredibley bright and clear and can be adjusted and when playing video the quality was way better than my digital TV. 8GB is plenty of room for movies and music as the videos are compressed for ipod compatibility. The itunes software does not allow you to do this however free programs are available that do. The ipod it very easy to use and some really cool games which make use of the good screen as well as other features like alarm clock, power off timer, contacts, notes, stopwatch... Read review

...Since the launch of podcasting the wife has hijacked my 3G iPod! So with my birthday fast approaching decided to purchase a second iPod for my own personal use. Now a two iPod family! So how much? Purchased in Australia, so with my tax back at the airport, just over £150. What do you get? Well not a lot actually. Just the basic Nano iPod, a USB2 cable, a set of earphones, installation disk, two stickers (to advertise apple) and a set of instructions. Packaging is the usual MAC uber cool, a delight to open. What don't you get? No charger, no firewire cable and no docking station. I guess to keep the cost down you get the bare minimum, but enough to get you up and listening to your itunes. ...previously been repaired for another customer. Unfortunately all my songs and pictures had been lost, this was explained to me before I sent the machine to Apple. They advised me to back up all my tunes and pictures to my ITUNES library on my PC. The new IPOD was soon playing my tunes again when I downloaded them back from the software on my PC. The quick response gave me much respect for Apple as the warranty always there if i ran into future problems. I then purchased a docking station for my nano so i could listen to the crisp quality of mp3 at home in my bedroom. Not only did my tunes sound great, my ipod charged at the same time. It was only after a few days of ownership, that my nano started to look less shiny and sleek. ...I purchased my white 2GB Ipod Nano from eBay for £79.99. But they are available for £124.99 from Amazon if you prefer to cut out the hassle. Long story short, it got lost in the post and took about 3 months to arrive, via angry telephone calls to the seller, EBay and Royal Mail. But eventually, 2 months ago I finally got it! I received it as new, boxed with headphones, soft case, instructions, Itunes on CD, link cable (for linking to Itunes) and some groovy Apple stickers. After a tense few hours charging up I set up Itunes (reasonably hassle free and pretty simple to navigate) and imported a few of my CD's.
