Advantages: Nice menu system, good sound quality & EQ

...important aspect of any mp3 player though is it's sound quality and if you can keep the earphones in this is indeed very good. I ported one of my own tracks to the device and could not hear a distinguishable difference between the original source and the mp3 version on the Apple. So with all this going for it why should you avoid buying one? Well lets start with the price. £130 for an 8GB player does seem a bit high even if it has got video playback. Considering Sumvision produce a 4GB device which can be found online for about £25 you really have to question if this iPod is really good value. Then there's the proprietry software with it's niggly DRM to protect the rights of the 'Arteestes' which means it's easy to get content from your PC to your iPod but not so easy to transfer it from Ipod to PC. 8gb iPod Nano

Advantages: Small and light, good sound and video quality.
Disadvantages: Quiet alarm and perhaps too thin

...This is the second iPod ive owned - I broke the last one, and it was my fault. So I've bought this newer version and I have to say it is brilliant. It is amazingly small and light for what it does - just 6.5mm thick, making it very easy to carry around without it becoming a nuisance. It also makes it easy to fit in your pocket without it looking ridiculous bulging out like the first mp3 players did. However, it is so thin there could possibly be a risk of it snapping easily if it was put under any kind of strain - if it got accidentally stood on or something. This hasnt happened to me, but it is something you have to be wary of. Aparently you can fit 2000 songs on an 8gb ipod, but I dont have this much on mine yet so I couldnt say. Ive got around 650 songs taking up about 2.5gb, so this figure should be about right. However, if...

...This little mp3 player has made me so happy having owning it for the past few weeks. By far the most practical and usable mp3 player i have ever used/owned. There is only one downside in my opinion(which can be avoided easily) this is the fact that ipods in general tend to be very easy to scratch, and having owned a few ipods i now they dont look very nice with scratches all over them. However after buying myself a cover for it the problems flew away. This ipod has allowed me to listen to far more music than i could wish for it has great quality in all areas and a nice sleek style and very easy to use. Sound quality is also outsstanding!
