...The iPod Touch 2nd Gen 8gb is an all round useful piece of equipment, from listening to music, to surfing the net, with useful apps, it makes a great gift. it also has built in speakers you do not need to carry the headphones if you dont want to. it also has a very reasonable price and is very compact so you can take it anywhere . the only disadvantages that i have seen is the sliding bars (e.g. brightness) are very hard to move and the battery doesnt last for very long. a good point about it is thawt the screen is virtualy impossible to scratch.The bottom line is the second-generation iPod Touch includes features that are light-years ahead of the competition, its design has improved, and its price has finally come down to earth....

The docking is identical to previous generations of Ipod so can be used with any of your previous connectivity and charging docking solutions. The great gui and human interface via the touch screen is innovative and market leading. However, finding your way about and updating via the Apple site takes a few moments to get your head around. ...its hard to write a review of a product like the Ipod touch, because every one of you have read everything about it somewhere else. I have to say that Ipod touch is simply something I've fallen in love with and find myself addicted to. I saw it in the Apple store before Christmas and I said to myself that this would be my next purchase. After pestering my parents, I got it for Xmas and they bought one for my sister as well (she is not into electronics) - she loved it almost as much as me and I've never seen her use her old MP3 player anywhere near as much as this. It is quite like the Iphone with the touch screen and you can do that pinch and zoom thing as well which i really like. ...pointless in this world as most of use have all our number stored on our phones and lets be honest, if you have a £200 mp3 player then your going to have a mobile phone. The calendar is ok but nothing really special or that beat a traditional mobile phone. The 8gb memory can also be a problem with this version of the touch. After you have loaded 1 movie and a couple of album onto the device, most of the memory has gone. This means that you have to travel around with less media than other Ipods, such as the video, and therefore you have less choice to chose and have to resort to going back onto your pc to load more thing on each time. Be aware that you must have a computer which is connected to the internet to download itunes which is the only software that will properly work with the Ipod touch. ...One things for sure Ipods are getting more popular by the day as more features and different designs are being introduced to these almost everyday necessities. I purchased the 8gb version 3 months or so back and ive been really please with it. It stands out from the rest as it has a large screen for viewing videos and photo's, but not only that it has the built in touch sensitive display which is very easy to use and im sure very popular. It has also introduced the new wii-fi so that you can connect to a wireless connection whether it be from the comfort of your home or in a coffee shop etc. when you go to i-tunes ur music and files can be transferred to your ipod within seconds though videos take a bit longer. All in all id say this product is worth investing in if you have a spare £180....

...Since getting my Ipod touch for christmas i have been obsessed. I love how i can easily access the internet and download apllications almost anywhere where there is an available internet connection. The screen is clear and the sound is crisp although the speaker could do with being slightly louder. I had slight trouble in the first week of getting my ipod as it crashed and i ws unable to use it for a few days until i found out on the Apple website how to reset and restore it which resulted in all my songs and apps that were already on it being deleted. Thankfully it was a quick process to get them all back on again. One disadvange is a lot of memory is taken up under the section know as 'other' on itunes, in my case it is around 1Gb and i stil lhave no idea what it is using all that memory, i would not mind if the capacity was larger but...
