TAKE A BITE AND BUY AN APPLE
Review of Apple MacBook Core 2 Duo 2.16 GHz - 13.3" TFT by
jonnydeppontv
Advantages: no viruses, looks good, easy to use, Its an Apple
Disadvantages: NONE!
...After owning a Powerbook G4 previously, I needed a replacement - I looked around and considered buying a Sony Vaio - but ended up back with Apple and purchased the MacBook Core 2 Duo with Intel processor.
I went for the smallest one of the 3 - only because it was purely for home use. I only use it for surfing the internet, downloading pictures and music so I did not need to much memory. Plus I have an external hardrive should I need to free up space.
The software you get with a Mac is excellent -everything is much more 'friendly' compared to Microsoft - OK, Vista has arrived - but when you look at it Apple was doing all that years ago! Plus Apple have a new software edition called Tiger which comes out October 2007 which will knock socks off Vista.
I Photo - the new version is brilliant - much better than the previous ones - it just...

Apple MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.5 GHz - 17" TFT
Review of Apple MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.5 GHz - 17" TFT by
pieceofmind
Advantages: nice screen, good battery life, fast specs
Disadvantages: large size (price?)
...Apple mac-books, where to start...
ok, so to start,
it is an apple, that means you get a solid quality product and on the whole very good customer are.
this particualar apple is deffinatly more suited to being a media center than other laptops. At first glance you realise that it is a fairly large laptop, this allows for a big screen, which being an apple ffers clear vivid displays, unfortunatly the big screen increases the overal size and also uses more battery, however, the 4.5 hour yattery is still very good for an entertainment laptop.
The laptops technical specs include a very fast 2.5 ghz dual core proccesor which is very fast, the dual core allows it to tackle multiple tasks quicly as well as increasing the overall speed of the laptop.
The price is quite steep however, but i believe, if given the money, it is probably one...

APPLE iBOOK G4 ,A wonderful laptop
Review of Apple iBook G4 - PPC G4 1.33 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
myportfolio
Advantages: Portability, slimness, attractive color, speed, & virus free
Disadvantages: Needs Special programs
...This is a review of the iBook G4 APPLE computer.
---------------------------
AVAILABILITY:
APPLES ARE HARD TO FIND SOMETIMES, so look for you G4 at ebay for used Apples, and at Circuit City and at the APPLE stores. For exact locations check online. You can use a search engine called 37.com or dogpile to find the best locations that are nearest to you.
--------------------
PRICE:
Prices will vary; of course you'll get the cheapest prices on ebay, mabye, but you'll get the best service for you money at Circuit City or at APPLE stores or when you buy your G4 brand new. I believe you can get a G4 for approximately 1400 to 1800 US dollars depending on where you purchase it.
---------------------
STYLE AND COLOR:
The g4 as with all APPLES are the best when it comes to design and color. This company breaks away from...

One for the girls
Review of Apple iBook G4 - PPC G4 1.2 GHz - 12.1" TFT by
angelatawn
Advantages: Light, easy to use, very pretty
Disadvantages: safari and firefox web browsers
...Like the manufacturers of cars, Apple seem to have embraced the idea of making smaller prettier computers for the female market - or is that just my opinion? Well, I've never seen a man with one of these, and the women I know who own them are first and foremost concerned with the prettiness of this little gem of a laptop.
However, the iBook G4 is not all show and no substance. This is a perfect computer for the designer who hammers the life out of a computer and needs something fast and reliable. Though the battery, when fully charged, will only last around 4 hours. The operating system, OS X, is superior (and the forerunner to) to Windows, especially in that it doesn't try to do the work for you. It is also incredibly simple to use. Having used PC's all of my student and working life, I thought that the switch to the Apple would...

Macbook Air, a look for beginers
Review of Apple MacBook Air Core 2 Duo 1.6 GHz - 13.3" TFT by
samclarkesurvey
Advantages: Mac OSX operating system, running windows/linux/etc. if chosen, style, compact and stylish design
Disadvantages: lack of optical drive (in some cases), costly - but value for money
...For those who have expirence with mac's they will be aware of the operating system. Macbook Air runs the Apple OS X 10.5 most peopel are familiar with something like Microsoft Windows XP or Vista, OS X runs in a different way, it looks and feels didfferent, and runs in a different way, it is considerably more stableand reliable, and is often the industrial choice those in the design, music and of creative specialists for it's effective industrial standard software built in and compatability. This perticular mac, the macbook air is apples most recent release. This notebook (laptop) is holder of the title as the thinnest notebook in the world, it manages this with out comprimise to the keyboard size, or it's internal power, it has exilent build with fair processor and good ram, with options to upgrade (see the apple store) the macbook air...

Small and perfectly formed.
Review of Apple Infrared Remote control for Digital player by
moosemac
Advantages: Small, simple, well designed and not overcomplicated
Disadvantages: It's listed on Ciao incorrectly so doesn't show it's full potential.
...I have to say the title this product has on Ciao is slightly misleading... this remote control isn't just for using with ipods, in fact it is really meant for use with Apple laptops and computers. You can buy this remote control for use with an ipod and it provides good basic functions. Mine arrived with my latest Apple MacBook Pro Laptop and allows you to access volume control on an Apple computer or ipod. It also allows you to play, pause, scroll or move through menu's on you ipod, but with an Apple computer it will allow you to access full menu's in whatever software you are using at the time, for example you can move through a slide presentation or photo album. it will let you access DVD menu's as well as control your viewing as you would with a DVD player remote control. You can use this with live TV on your computer, changing...

The Big One
Review of Apple iBook G4 - PPC G4 800 MHz - 12.1" TFT by
heatherrr13
Advantages: Light, good value for money
Disadvantages: Tricky to get the hang of.
...at the top of the screen making it easy to perform actions.
The laptop also has a lot of quick-key functions that make it look superior to PC laptops; users are able to view all open windows at one time, and the search function makes finding documents very easy.
Apart from all the fancy extras that make the laptop seem such good value for money, all the technical aspects of it really back it up. The processor is very fast, and loading internet sights quickly is no problem.
The only problem I have had with my Mac is the fact that my Creative Zen MP3 player is not particularly compatible with it. The software does not work on the machine, however you get the impression that this is the fault of Creative rather than Apple. Anyhow, after downloading some third party programs designed by Mac users, I am now back on the road.
The Apple laptops do take...

I-BOOKS ROCK!!!!
Review of Apple iBook PPC G3 600 MHz - 12.1" TFT by
sam_salsbury
Advantages: much faster than pc, operating system is beter than windows and your internet experience will be far superior.
Disadvantages: none what so ever
...ok so from my opinion these computers rock! You can get them in various colours (tangerine being my fave) and they simply are the best computers around.
I recently (about 3 months ago) bought and i-book and i have had not one hitch at all. It has not crashed, it has not had one error and its operating system (OS.9)is just so much better than windows.
You can also, if you need, buy programs from outlets such as dixons, currys, etc, which allow you to run programs on the i-book or apple mac which normally can only run under the windows operating system - which means you no-longer have an excuse not to buy and apple i-book.
They also run much faster and if you're a net-head, make the internet a much more enjoyable experience. I advise you to buy one - it will be the best computer you will ever have....

Ice cool
Review of Apple Pro - keyboard by
antsss
Advantages: Typical Apple sense of style, very comfortable
Disadvantages: Gets dirty easily, no 'hash' key
...A keyboard is a keyboard, right? Not these days. Computer manufacturers have wised up to Apple's rebirth after they released their original cute, colourful iMac computer. Gone are beige boxes, beige keyboards and... well, beige everything, really. Nowadays, you not only have to buy peripherals compatible with your computer, you have to colour co-ordinate them too. Of course, you may argue that the colour of the boxes and buttons on your desk is not important, and yes, you're probably right. But isn't it lovely to have an object of beauty sitting on your desk?
With an Apple, you have the option of co-ordinating everything - your monitor, your base unit, keyboard, mouse, printer, even your wireless base station. With the launch of the new iMac, eMac and iBook ranges, Apple switched from fruity colours and wild patterns to simple glacial...
