...Apple mac-books, where to start... ok, so to start, it is an apple, that means you get a solid quality product and on the whole very good customer are. this particualar apple is deffinatly more suited to being a media center than other laptops. At first glance you realise that it is a fairly large laptop, this allows for a big screen, which being an apple ffers clear vivid displays, unfortunatly the big screen increases the overal size and also uses more battery, however, the 4.5 hour yattery is still very good for an entertainment laptop. The laptops technical specs include a very fast 2.5 ghz dual core proccesor which is very fast, the dual core allows it to tackle multiple tasks quicly as well as increasing the overall speed of the laptop. The price is quite steep however, but i believe, if given the money, it is probably one... Read review

The obvious choice was Apple's own Mighty Mouse (and keyboard, which I have also reviewed). Purchasing -------------------- I brought the Apple Wired Mighty Mouse from an auction site for under £25 (in new condition because the seller preferred his old MS mouse). ...of the current desirability and status of Apple computers, and the fact that nobody wants to break out of their colour scheme - a white eMac, white mouse, white base-station and grey or beige keyboard would not look nice at all! --> IS IT RECOMMENDED? If you need to replace an older Mac keyboard, or add a keyboard to a G3 or G4 iBook, the Apple Pro keyboard is a very good choice. It's expensive, but it looks the part and I have no reason to doubt it's quality. It would look stylish with coloured or white Apple computers and will hold its value and add some desirability to your Mac if you decide to sell it on later. However, if you have kids, the keyboard is probably a bit too vulnerable to dirty sticky fingers and flakes of dust and muck. ...I have to say the title this product has on Ciao is slightly misleading... this remote control isn't just for using with ipods, in fact it is really meant for use with Apple laptops and computers. You can buy this remote control for use with an ipod and it provides good basic functions. Mine arrived with my latest Apple MacBook Pro Laptop and allows you to access volume control on an Apple computer or ipod. ...of anyone else suffering from this so it may just be a one off! Albeit perfect for using on iMacs and the like, there are not (correct me if I'm wrong - I haven't found any free ones) any Windows keyboard layout drivers for the apple keyboard. On Windows UK keyboard layout there are a few things swapped around such as @ is labelled " etc. This is a bit annoying but not exactly the end of the world! For £20 you can't go wrong really!... ...to one side of a document I was trying to read. Maybe at 32 I am getting too old for modern technology but I just want a simple comfortable mouse and I can get the functions this mouse offers by other means. I fear younger mouse users might love this mouse at first but could develop symptoms like mine with prolonged use. I have to use computers everyday at work and I am slowly developing all those nasty repetive strain and carpal tunnel symptoms I have been dreading. If this means nothing to you then I will put it in simpler terms - I have tried to improve my posture and my technique but using a keyboard and a mouse everyday is starting to hurt. Where I used to work we had a suite of old Apple macs with the older Apple Pro mouse. These were nice - a big chunky piece of acrylic that really filled your hand. ...Well what can I say, a perfect display from a top notch company. Expect nothing less than perfect with Apple products. I used to be a huge PC fan but with the Intel chips and great designs of the Macs these days i'm really into my Apple products these days. As a Systems Administrator at a large design firm, I have recommended these products over another alternative (Formac for instance) ok so the Apple display costs quite a bit extra, but it's money well spent. The Formacs display quality cannot even begin to compare with the Apple display. The resolution is great and as with all LCD screens, the refresh rate is best viewed at 60hz for optimum performance. These will soon be replacing all of our CRT LaCie monitors as they're nowhere near as bulky/heavy and offer even better quality.... Read review
