Advantages: Small, well made, unix, Mac OSX Disadvantages: small screen, white key board can get dirty
...of the purchase price of the macbook. I have however heard of people even having three operating systems loaded and switching between them, but this really would impact disk space and I have never tried this myself.
Some free open-source software is also available for MAC OSX even without installing Linux, such as Gimp, the Linux photo-editing program (similar to Photoshop), because Linux and Unix are in fact virtually identical, but any software specifically for Apple from any source will generally be as expensive as the PC equivalent and probably available some time later, because there are fewer users of Apples (unless you run Windows on your macbook)
In terms of performance it is a fast machine, with Intel dual-core processors, which can be made ever faster by doubling or quadrupling the RAM (1 GB is standard) although buying extra memory...

Review of AppleMacBook
Advantages: Everything about it is excellent Disadvantages: None
...I have been a Windows user for as long as I can remember, but last year I started to read up about changing to a mac. Nearly every review said how good mac's are. I finally bought this macbook in November and have been amazed at its speed and reliability. The macbook has not once crashed, starts up and shuts down in seconds unlike my pc where I am still waiting 3 mins later.
I thought that changing from a pc to a mac would be difficult, as the layout and the way you do things is different. But the difference is definitely a positive, its simple and very easy to use. You can even get a version of office, so that you can still use the familiar word, excel etc.
I notice that some of the other reviews comment that the battery does not last very long, but I find that mine last for more than 4 hours. I think that is excellent.
If...
Advantages: Design, Apple Remote, Built In - Sight, Bluetooth Disadvantages: Poorly Built
...(with today's conversion rate, $120) for a new one! I do hope Apple do a better job in the future when it comes to manufacturing their Macbook line as they are great products.
With these negative points aside, I do still believe this product has served me very well over the last year, and this is why I recommend it to anyone looking to switch to a Mac. If the Macbook is out of your price range, I would recommend the Mac Mini, however, if like me, having your device be portable is a major factor, its best to save up a little more for the Macbook....

Review of AppleMacBook
...The AppleMacBook MB062B/B is executively designed for a mobile lifestyle with Intel Core 2 Duo processors, 1GB of memory, and large hard drive. It also has a number of innovative features, including a built-in iSight camera for 1 to 1 or group video chat on the go, iLife '08, Front Row, a nice 13inch widescreen display and supports dual displays. I have used Mac Notebooks before and have to say this is the most advanced and affordable MacBook. It gives you power and mobility, neatily packed into a beautiful compact design. The MacBook comes in 2 colour, white and black, I prefer the white being Apple's trade mark colour. The MacBook will keep you glued to it as you wont need anything else courtesy of built-in Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and AirPort Extreme 802.11 which gives you up to five times the performance and twice the range of previous...

Review of AppleMacBook
Advantages: Ultra thin construction, light weight Disadvantages: Sacrificed some features to its size
...configuration and some basic accessibility features.
Apple is a grandfather of laptop market, when they launched their super hit model MacBook Pro, rolled out market toward Apple.
The main reason behind hitting market by AppleMacBook was its configuration and superb graphics quality.
After the huge success of MacBook Pro Apple has decided to go for ultra thin laptop market, considering high profile market, and they have launched newly MacBook air, light weight an about 2cm thin laptop.
Here I will discuss on configuration, portability, handling, advantages and disadvantages of MacBook air.
Size and Weight
First of all this is the main feature of MacBook air so that I would like to mention its size and weight here.
The main aim of MacBook air was its ultra thin size so having this, it has about 2cm thick and weight is about 1...

Review of AppleMacBook Air
Advantages: looks great, fast, reliable, taxed until July 07, one lady owner hehe Disadvantages: teething problems, lack of software
...I've had my macbook for almost 6 months now and i love it. Mine is the white, core duo 60GB model (the cheapest one). This is my first mac after using windows os for years and although i still use windows pc's and laptops for work if i had the choice id use a mac all the time.
The first thing you notice about the macbook is how good it looks its sleek, slim, stylish and lightweight, the glowing apple logo on the back looks really cool.
Its really fast and has never really crashed in my 6 months of almost constant use. The changeover from windows was no hassle at all as macs recognise all windows file types.
The battery is great and compared to other laptops ive used lasts for ages. The 'MagSafe' power connector is a really good idea and has saved me from a few near misses, the power cable connects magnetically to the computer...

Review of AppleMacBook Air
Advantages: Stylish, flexible, super fast startup Disadvantages: Pricey compared to a PC
...I got my MacBook a month ago and, despite having been a heavy PC user for the last 20+ years, I'm a convert. It's just great.
I got it because of all the good stories I'd heard about them; usability, security, availabiity of applications and it's stylish looking too, not like the lumpy almost invariably black Windows laptops out there. It's not cheap at £700 you can get a lot of PC for that, but I really like my Mac, so I'm not going to linger on that side of things.
The 13" screen is crystal clear, the keyboard feels nice and it doesn't take long to get used to the trackpad style mouse. It's super fast to boot up and shut down, less than 30 seconds from 'off' and probably less than 5 from 'sleep' mode. That's stunning compared to my other machines that can take anything from 5 to 20 minutes to do the same.
It was initially a bit...
Advantages: High quality, fast memory, good design, perfect durability. Disadvantages: None at all!
... About AppleMacBook Air
Firstly, I would like to recommend this product for eveyone who needs a really high quality notebook.
This one does not have incredible features but it works perfectly. It has 2GB of memory (RAM) and that's enough for working with documents, playing or even working with professional graphical programs. Most of new notebooks has more than 2GB of RAM but I can say that it is not a truth - the AppleMacBook Air works faster than other notebook of mine which has 4GB of RAM!
In my opinion, 120GB of HDD is enough for personal use. Personaly, I do not need more than 100GB for keeping all my programs, music and personal documents so I can say that 120GB is more than enough.
What I like the most about this Apple product is:
* The design (I like the color and shape)
* The quality...

Review of AppleMacBook Air
Advantages: nice screen, good battery life, fast specs Disadvantages: large size (price?)
...Applemac-books, where to start...
ok, so to start,
it is an apple, that means you get a solid quality product and on the whole very good customer are.
this particualar apple is deffinatly more suited to being a media center than other laptops. At first glance you realise that it is a fairly large laptop, this allows for a big screen, which being an apple ffers clear vivid displays, unfortunatly the big screen increases the overal size and also uses more battery, however, the 4.5 hour yattery is still very good for an entertainment laptop.
The laptops technical specs include a very fast 2.5 ghz dual core proccesor which is very fast, the dual core allows it to tackle multiple tasks quicly as well as increasing the overall speed of the laptop.
The price is quite steep however, but i believe, if given the money, it is...
