Advantages: Small, well made, unix, Mac OSX
Disadvantages: small screen, white key board can get dirty

Apple Macbook

Advantages: looks great, fast, reliable, taxed until July 07, one lady owner hehe
Disadvantages: teething problems, lack of software

...I've had my macbook for almost 6 months now and i love it. Mine is the white, core duo 60GB model (the cheapest one). This is my first mac after using windows os for years and although i still use windows pc's and laptops for work if i had the choice id use a mac all the time. The first thing you notice about the macbook is how good it looks its sleek, slim, stylish and lightweight, the glowing apple logo on the back looks really cool. Its really fast and has never really crashed in my 6 months of almost constant use. The changeover from windows was no hassle at all as macs recognise all windows file types. The battery is great and compared to other laptops ive used lasts for ages. The 'MagSafe' power connector is a really good idea and has saved me from a few near misses, the power cable connects magnetically to the computer...

The Apple (MacBook Pro) - More than Eve ever thought it would be

Advantages: Everything - the look, the functionality, the accessibility...everything
Disadvantages: The price - but still worth every penny

...made me choose this model? I wanted a laptop that was lightweight, powerful and could handle lots of design work - memory and speed were important. I was initially looking at a Macbook Air as they are very light weight. I needed a computer laptop, and wanted an Apple as it's a brand I trust and have never had a problem with. I had used lots of PCs and HP laptops with work - all of them were invariably slow to some degree. If they weren't continually asking for updates or crashing, they would be very slow and sluggish. I've been using a macbook since 2007, but even recently that was starting to get tired and the spec was gradually going out of date. Initially, I was put off the Macbook Pro by its weight.
