Apple MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.5 GHz - 17" TFT
Advantages: nice screen, good battery life, fast specs
Disadvantages: large size (price?)
...Apple mac-books, where to start...
ok, so to start,
it is an apple, that means you get a solid quality product and on the whole very good customer are.
this particualar apple is deffinatly more suited to being a media center than other laptops. At first glance you realise that it is a fairly large laptop, this allows for a big screen, which being an apple ffers clear vivid displays, unfortunatly the big screen increases the overal size and also uses more battery, however, the 4.5 hour yattery is still very good for an entertainment laptop.
The laptops technical specs include a very fast 2.5 ghz dual core proccesor which is very fast, the dual core allows it to tackle multiple tasks quicly as well as increasing the overall speed of the laptop.
The price is quite steep however, but i believe, if given the money, it is...

Apple MacBook Core 2 Duo 13.3" - I'm a convert
Advantages: Stylish, flexible, super fast startup
Disadvantages: Pricey compared to a PC
...the choices below; they're all open source/freeware. My budget for toys is dry following the arrival of the MacBook, so it's cheapies or freebies for me for a while.
So here goes:
1. Browser (Firefox)
With the advent of Firefox V3.0 (FF3), I was finally teased away from Internet Explorer (IE) on the PC. The time taken to develop css sites and make them work cross-platform was hugely reduced, I was a convert. I'm sure Safari is truly great, but I'll be sticking to FF for dev for the foreseeable future.
2. Messaging client (MSN Messenger for Mac)
A no brainer really, need to retain the continuity with my previous MSN contacts. That said, I've hardly used it since I installed it.
3. Twitter client (TweetDeck)|
If you're into Twitter, you need a client. This one fits the bill nicely, lets you group your followees and has a nice user interface. It...

Apple Macbook core 2 duo 2ghz 13"
Advantages: sexy fast different simple
Disadvantages: could take a bit of getting used to
...After thinking what laptop to buy for over a year I kept falling back on the idea of buying mac!
I had wireless set up and off I went to buy a laptop. I fell in love with the macbook very sexy and simple (bit like myself)! I'm not here to bore you with specs (you know what you need you just want to know how well it performs).
I opted for the 13" as its smaller and cheaper £699! Its a very competant little machine that can do everything you want it too, its wifi is very good and stable. Its amazingly simple to use far less complicated than windows! I love the two fingers on the mouse pad to scroll down pages, also the quality of the display and the way it works out when you mistype (somehow apple have made it work out sausage finger typing and it doesn,t put that letter in).
The operating system is fast at booting up...

Macbook core 2 duo 13.3 inch aluminium casing
Advantages: Stylish design, solid case, light weight
Disadvantages: gets a bit warm under windows
...Recently i decided to purchase the new aluminium cased apple macbook. The price is quite high starting off around £900. I took a trip down to my local apple shop to find out a little more about the macbook, I got talking to a member of staff in store who told me a little more about the system i wanted to purchase and about discounts i could recieve. As i am a student i recieved my macbook with a 14% discount and also 3 years warranty for £50. When i got home i took it out of the box, the macbook has a strong aluminium casing which aids in keeping cool, the macbook is really cold to the touch when it has been off for hours which is quite a shock when it touches your skin. The macbook itself is really stylish with a thin screen with a built in webcam, the screen is really clear and has a glossy look to it. The builtin webcam has good...

Apple MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.26 GHz - 13.3" TFT - excellent!
Advantages: portable, runs very fast, large storage with TimeMachine application for backing up your work
Disadvantages: some problems with using Safari, though this may be due to the wireless network I am using, costs!
...In my opinion, the Apple Macbook Pro is an ideal laptop. As a student, I find that it meets all my needs - I can store plenty of music, photos etc even though I bought the cheapest one with the smallest memory.
The system operates very fast and comes with both Firefox and Safari.
My only criticism is that it only comes with textedit and so you have to buy iWorks for around £65. However, despite this it is good value for money and I don't regret spending my 2 years worth of part-time earnings on it!
It has everything I want from a laptop and is ideally portable and good for watching films despite the smaller screen size. Another feature I particularly liked was that it has a light up keyboard for when you are in darker rooms - you can adjust the brightness of the keyboard the same as you can for the screen. Looks very impressive!
It is...

At the Core of Apple

Disadvantages: Expensive, underpowered
...Manufacturer- Apple

Memory/RAM- 2GB ? 2 x 1 GB sticks 1067 MHz DD3
Hard-drive Space- 160GB
Graphics chipset- NVIDIA GeForce 9400M, 256 MB
DVD Superdrive
Screen size- 13.3 inches TFT, Widescreen

Inbuilt camera
Mini display adaptor- unfortunately it doesn?t come with a lead
Mag-safe 60w lead
Operating System- Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard
This model doesn?t come with a remote as standard- which annoyed me because I had to sell my other one as it was part of my other laptop?s original accessories.
People ?s main complaint with Apple is that their products are way too expensive, and that having a Mac is far inferior to a PC- but this is mainly down to the fact that they were poorly powered yet...

Apple of My Eye!
Advantages: Robust, ease of use, compact and portable!
Disadvantages: None
...the more traditional approach of a mouse. With 2 USB ports you can instantly plug in an Apple USB Mouse or any other for that matter!
In terms of speed and storage the Macbook serves up 1GB RAm (upgradable to 2GB for around £125 via Apple) which is great if you have invested in your MacBook for the long-term. The massive 120 GB Hard-Drive is also upgradable to 160 gig if you require additional memory, however 120 Gig is huge for a laptop and unless you are replacing a home PC its doubtful you'll necessarily take up all the memory on your Macbook with just personal usage, then again it depends what you are using it for. I currently have about 12 gig of music on mine!
The Apple MacBook Pro 2 GHz Core Duo Laptop uses the very powerful Intel Core Duo processor with a processor speed of 2 GHz and the operating system used to run the Laptop is...

Apple Imac 20" Core Duo Intel 2ghz
Advantages: Simply stunning both in looks and ingenuity
Disadvantages: Ability to upgrade parts - can only really change memory RAM
...without losing it, strike me down it sticks to the side of the imac screen via magnets! Apple thing of everything!
Another advantage of this mac is that it is one of the quietest machines I have ever used, comparing this to PC\'s you can quite comfortably leave it on overnight if you so require. One thing I find very ingenious is the mini DVi port which allows you to connect another monitor to it so to extend your screen, for example, watch movies on a second screen while working on the other screen, ideal for multitasking (unfortunately being a man its a challenge for me!)
For the creatives out there like myself, the CS3 package now native to the intel based macs is super fast.
By far the tidiest mac for people lacking space or requiring an all in one PC for a bargain!
Also check out the apple.com website for refurbished versions...

MacBook, Get Yours.
Advantages: Smooth, silent, good looking, more than capable, satisfying.
Disadvantages: Arguably the cost, some very minor issues in very few cases.
...all the ports for headphones, USB (x2), firewire, ethernet and something else presumably to do with video, and also the magnetic charging slot. This side doesn't look so pretty but its still better looking than a Dell :P
Finally, along the bottom is the battery, taking up a good quarter of the space, with a little turnable lock to eject it. The battery also features a small button and set of five lights to tell you how charged it is at any given time, and it also flashes when its charging, to tell you how full it is. The 'feet' on the Macbook are round and grey, and don't fall off like they did on my previous laptop.
All in all, its a sexy laptop. Plain, simple, sleek, strong and no frills needed. Unless you count the Apple logo which I failed to mention (you've all seen them), which lights up slightly when the machine is on...

Macbook Review
Advantages: Fantastic operating system and programs, great features, portability style
Disadvantages: inbuilt graphics
...free templates.
iDVD: Allows you to design DVD menus for your homes movies.
iTunes: Music library program. Can be used to buy music, videos and rent movies from the iTunes music store, which is the most popular online music download service. Can also be used to sync music, videos and photos to your iPod or iPhone.
I don't know how I managed without iLife. It seems like a necessity on my computer now. Nothing comes close to the iLife suite.
I would recommend reading some reviews on iLife 09 to get some more info on these programs. There are some great interactive videos on the Apple website.
Apple computers are known for their style. The Macbook is a very attractive computer. I often get glances when using this outside or in Coffee shops. Very few Windows based PCs are stylish.
The keyboard is very good. At first I didn...
