...After having searched relentlessly for a decent MP3 Player with decent memory at a low price, I finally decided on the ipod shuffle. Now I have never been a big fan of Apple but I have to say this thing caught my eye, even if it is tiny. With measurements of 1.07 inches high, 1.62 inches wide and 0.41 inches deep, this surely is an example of the proverbial good thing and small package. For all you metric people out there that’s approximately 2.71cm (h) x 4.11cm (w) x 1.04cm (d). It also only weighs 0.55 oz or 15.6 grammes ((approx). The ipod shuffle is sleek and stylish and comes in silver, green, blue, pink or orange. I of course had to go for pink being a girly girl and am very happy with my choice. ...I won one of these ipod shuffle 1st generations in a raffle at my scool, I kept this for quite some time and then decided to sell it so I could by the ipod mini in green. This was a big mistake i could of ever made, once I had bought the mini I realised that I could not have the mini around my neck without making it ache or have the same amount of running time as the shuffle. Apple have recently brought out the 2nd generation of the ipod shuffle which is a must have not only was i surprised at its amazing size but the battery life of one seems to never end, the shuffle comes in many colours and i happened to choose blue. It holds approx 240 songs and is really good value for its money as it is complete with docking station and also i received the new style earphones that creates brilliant sound quality music.... .... The only downside was with using windows I had to purchase a usb cable for it to run, but for £10 apple will send you one. It beats the competition. You could opt for a slightly cheeper solution - but you pay for what you get. ...For £50 you cant go wrong. I have a 5th generation 30GB black with video as my main ipod, but 6months ago i decided to purchase an ipod shuffle to use to go to the gym as the 5th generation with video is quite big, where the shuffle is small, compact as has an clip which will easily attach to anything. The shuffle works simlar to the normal ipods, it automatically syncs from your itunes libary, it comes with a clever dock which connects through the headphone socket! which is very unsual, but suffiecent! I bought my shuffle in silver, however there is also green, pink, blue and orange, but i now believe apple have brought out a new range of colours. The shuffle comes with headphones, the dock connector, stickers, a range of instruction cards which tell you how to do things such as activate "hold" as there is not a "hold" switch... Read review

...I chose to buy the iPod shuffle because of its design and i wanted something that was light,easy to use,at least 512mb and i liked the colour of it. Indeed it is the smallest player Apple makes.and it really is simple to use but yet very effective, making it perfect for anyone. The ipod shuffle has a 1gb capacity which allows you to store approx 240 songs but this varies depending on the size of each song. It's hard to believe it's possible to get all technology necessary to store and play songs something this small. It measures 41.2x27.3x10.53mm and weighs just 15.6g which makes it Ultra Light. I often use the shuffle when im out jogging and it is the perfect companion for this as i hardly notice wearing it. Best of all the battery will last up to 12 hours. ...it is firm enough not to move or slip off. The clip is included in the thickness measurement I have given making it even more unbelievable. Engraving ------------- At the moment if you buy the shuffle from the Apple website you can have it engraved with whatever you like free of charge great when buying as a gift or if getting for more than one child to stop arguments about whose is whose. The engraving is done by laser and is of top quality I was very pleased. The engraving is done on the reverse side of the shuffle above the apple logo. Storage ---------- The 1 GB of storage is more than enough for most and certainly enough for me I have managed to squeeze 260 songs in MP3 format onto it. Having had a love affair with my Ipod for over a year now, I found it hard being separated from the thing and found the thing too bulky for the gym and going running especially as I’m in training for the New York Marathon. ...After owning numerous iPods including the latest colour U2 special edition, I was more than happy with the whole Apple digital music experience. After the rumours started to circulate that Apple would release a 4GB shuffle in the next two weeks, I thought to myself "OK, but nothing special". That was until I saw the video of the latest Apple music conference which had details of the latest Motorola ROKR (MP3 phone compatible with iTunes) followed up with the amazing iPod Nano! At first glance the Nano appears to be another iPod, which is essentially correct. But you really do need to handle one to appreciate the miracle that has been achieved. This thing is minute, and I mean really tiny. Thinner than a standard pencil, it really has pushed the boundary of what people consider small for a gadget. I would have been equally amazed... ...The Apple iPod brand has taken control over the mp3 market and looks set to rise and rise. The thing I love about this particular iPod is the sleek, super small and lightweight design. I previously had the iPod mini which is a lot larger and bulkier than the new shuffle version, and the reason why I decided to downsize. The iPod shuffle also has a clip which you can use to attach to your clothes, bag, belt etc making it incredibly flexible for everyday use. £32 for 1GB (it also comes in 2GB for around £55) is absolutely great value for money. They come in a variety of colours, including pink, silver, purple (which I have) and blue, which if you want something which reflects your personality.
