Excellent stylish keyboard
Review of Apple keyboard by wicker_man

Advantages: Comfortable to type on, compact, stylish, has USB ports, cheap
Disadvantages: USB ports only 1.1, shows up dirt more than black keyboards

...Introduction -------------------- After finally buying a used Apple PowerMac G4 Cube (one of my favourite Mac designs), I needed to buy a keyboard and mouse with it. The obvious choice was Apple's own keyboard (and Mighty Mouse, review coming shortly). Purchasing -------------------- I brought the Apple Wired Keyboard from John Lewis for £19.00. It came in a nice simple white Apple box with images of the keyboard profiles on each side. Inside the box, you get the keyboard and an extension USB cable. Design -------------------- The keyboard is quite small with hardly any borders, which is great for saving space on your desk. The keys are white and the outer case is transparent plastic. It has a quality look and matches Apple hardware very nicely. The short USB cable is designed for connection to an iMac (all in one) or Apple... Read review

A Stunning Display
Review of Apple Cinema HD Display by iMacfan

Advantages: Stunning quality and big size
Disadvantages: VERY expensive!

...appear at a good size on the screen at native resolution. An added bonus is that the display acts as a USB hub, so that you can keep the towser under the desk, and plug your keyboard into the display. Price is the main factor, however since it still costs just over £2000 - a lot of money, but if I ever could afford it, Apple would have the money immediately!... Read review

Mighty Warrior Of Mice!
Review of Apple Mighty Mouse mouse by wicker_man

Advantages: Adds multi-button functionality to a Mac, 360 degree scrolling, looks great
Disadvantages: May take time to get used to at first

.... But, Apple have cleverly made it touch sensitive to simulate right clicking. There are also two side buttons which are customisable within OS X. Usage -------------------- The Mighty Mouse has a short USB cable, optimised for plugging into an Apple keyboard, iMac or Apple display (with integrated USB ports). This is great because ti save on cable clutter on your desk. I pluged it into my Apple keyboard and it was instantly recognised. It fits very nicely in my hand, allowing the thumb and third finger to rest on the side buttons. The 360 degree scroll ball is great for navigating through long Word documents, music lists in iTunes or around website. If you click the ball, it acts as a third mouse button. The side buttons are customisable for activating Expose, Dashboard, Spotlight or any application of your choice. In System... Read review

Apple Keyboard
Review of Apple keyboard by macwise

Advantages: Good Multimedia Keys, Flat Desgin, Very Easy to Type.
Disadvantages: Need's OS X Tiger with the latest update or higher, No good on Windows.

...This Apple Keyboard has to be one of the best Apple have ever made. First of with the design, Taking after the Mac Book Keyboard style, it feels like typing on Laptop Keyboard. Typing is very quick and easy. The Keyboard is VERY thin and so it's very easy to move around but will stay where it's put. The Keyboard also has multimedia Keys. These Keys work on OS X good and will work on Windows with Boot Camp Drivers. The Keyboard it self works Plug and Play in Windows but only the standard stuff work. The Keyboard has Brightness, Exposé, Dashboard, Track skip, Pause/Play, Mute, Volume Keys and a Eject Button. The Keyboard being so small does suffer from a small "L Enter Key" however I haven't found this to be a problem. The Keyboard also comes with 2 USB 2.0 Ports on the Left and Right hand side. In trying these they haven't been... Read review

Apple Pro Keyboard
Review of Apple Pro - keyboard by Gumbeh

Advantages: Well made with a solid feel, Keys are easy to type
Disadvantages: Not much really apart from the lack of support for Windows OS

...Many people moan that apple keyboards are harder to clean... That's only because they happen to be white (instead of black). You just tend to notice dirt build-up it more, especially with the transparent sides! It has a nice good quality heavy feel to it unlike a lot of other flimsy keyboards out there! There are 2 USB ports in the back of it - I found these perfect for using a little USB fan when it's hot :-) The keyboard itself is a gem to type on and not too bad for gaming either. The keyboard itself comes with a relatively short USB cable. There is however an extender that comes with the keyboard to double the length. For me a problem arises from time to time... every so often the keyboard disconnects itself for about 5 seconds and then re-connects itself... Not the worst problem in the world but a bit annoying. I've never heard... Read review

Modern technology mixed with fine design & style
Review of Apple Wireless Keyboard keyboard by designmac

Advantages: good transmitting range, easy to use keys and long battery life
Disadvantages: No USB ports - may not be possible to add them

...' technology to stop any interference between other Bluetooth peripherals and wireless devices. It automatically switches to low-power mode when the keyboard is not in use, and has an on and off button so it can be turned off to reserve battery power. You should get up to nine months of life out of the four standard AA batteries that power it according to Apple, which is good compared to other wireless keyboards. On buying this product there was only had one thing that I did not like, and that was that it did not have any USB ports on it which most Apple users are used to. But I am unsure as to whether or not you can have USB ports on a wireless keyboard. I can't find much else wrong with this keyboard, it is very nice to use and handy to sit on your sofa and use it on lap. If you are an Apple fan, buy this product as I found it to be another finely... Read review

Ice cool
Review of Apple Pro - keyboard by antsss

Advantages: Typical Apple sense of style, very comfortable
Disadvantages: Gets dirty easily, no 'hash' key

...white, and this is where the Apple Pro Keyboard comes in. --> WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE? Well, the Apple Pro Keyboard is distinctive for its sleek lines and gently curved base, which tilts all the keys on the top row slightly further forward than the ones at the bottom. The base is completely clear and the keys and plastic mounts are white, which gives it a really cool, clean feel. There are no multimedia keys, scrolly wheels or other extra features that you might find on PC keyboards, apart from the standard Apple volume keys. Helpfully it has both £ and Euro symbols, but unfortunately no # (hash, or poundsign to the Americans). This can be a pain when programming HTML, as I often have to switch from British to USA keyboard layouts just to enter the hash sign. --> ANY OTHER FEATURES? The keyboard also has two USB ports on the back... Read review

Mighty Pain
Review of Apple Mighty Mouse mouse by oblivionjapan

Advantages: Lots of functionality - L/R click 360 scroll.
Disadvantages: Painful to use. Too many little parts to have on such a small mouse.

...KEY FEATURES: USB Optical Mouse £35 from Apple Store as of 5/5/07 20 times more sensitive to optical features than other optical mice. TIny central scroll button allows 360 scrolling - up/down left/right and diagonal. Touch-sensitive top shell - feels like older one-click Apple mice but by clicking the left part of the shell you get a left click, by clicking the right part of the shell you get a right click. Force-sensing side buttons - you have two buttons on each side of the mouse you can configeure to do whatever you want. MY GRIPE: I suffer all kinds of aches and pains from long term keyboard and mouse use. Trying to work all these little buttons on a tiny little mouse is very difficult and agonizing for me. I had so much trouble getting to grips with this thing I could easily click something I didn't mean to or scroll off... Read review

A beautifully designed workhorse
Review of Apple Power Mac G5 - PPC G5 2 GHz by intelligents

Advantages: fast, powerful, upgradable, easy to use,
Disadvantages: big and heavy to get it home!

...this computer houses plenty of USB and Firewire ports (on the front and back of the unit) and if you opt for an Apple screen, - and some other manufacturers screens for that matter - you get extra ports. There's a host of audio ports (in and out), ethernet, 56K modem and DVI for your screen. The superdrive (CD and DVD writer which supports CD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD, DVD-R) is situated on the front and is operated from a button on the supplied keyboard - you also get a mouse and both are white, not silver!. The operation of this machine is almost silent, until the 9 fans kick in on demanding, processes. When opening up the side of the unit you realise the workmanship that went into making this machine. There isn't a cable hanging and everything is accessible. Its easy to upgrade the computer: you can add another hard drive, loads more RAM, and add more USB... Read review

The NEW LCD iMac
Review of Apple iMac Indigo - PPC G3 500 MHz - 15" CRT by iMacfan

Advantages: Very good screen - fast G4 and Superdrive!
Disadvantages: You might not like the iLamp look

...with plenty or USB ports, firewire (also known as iLink), and the option of cheaply equipping yourself with Airport - wireless networking. Even the keyboard and mouse are extremely good quality - though you might want to get a new mouse, as Apple still insist on keeping with one button. The best feature (though limited to the £1500 top of the line version) has to be the Superdrive - a DVD burner! Now, once you have edited your movies in iMovie, you can use iDVD to burn a video DVD, with up to 90min of video that can be played on almost any home DVD player. You can also read and write CDR/W with the drive. Software is not lacking as well. The operating system on the new machine is Mac OS X (Read: Ten). This is based on Unix, so is ultra fast and stable, but is very easy to use - and even looks uber cool. This is complemented with a vast... Read review
