When applying for these jobs it may be that the applicants are very computer literate, and if an agency has been used to advertise the post then they also will be very computer literate. We don’t have all that much on offer and having worked my way through the Gold Card Customers' copy of OK, all the Thomas Cook Brochures and the terms and conditions of our account cards the day before, I needed something new. Which was how I ended up with a pile of application forms on my knee and a grin on my face. We would collect the forms from potential recruits and pass them on to personnel, but inevitably the recruiters only get them when our box got full and we could be bothered to take them downstairs, so we generally had a decent sized hand-full waiting around. Anyway, back to the forms. Some of them were, to say the least, horrendously bad and should have been binned instantly.
