Advantages: Good value for money
Disadvantages: Takes a long time to charge batteries

I was recently reminded of this missing piece of equipment in my life when I rediscovered the PC lead to my digital camera. Remembering that a pair of standard batteries lasted for only about 30 photos in this camera I decided that it was certainly time to invest in a battery charger and some rechargeable batteries. I purchased an Energizer CHDCW8 ? 4 battery charger from Argos for just £9.99. This decision was based on several factors, the most important of which was the price and what I considered to be the best value for money. Good battery charger for it's price

Advantages: Charges quickly, easy to use.
Disadvantages: Doesn't feel too strong... Not much of a problem.

...I bought this so that I wouldnt' have to keep paying for batteries all the time for my camera. Most battery chargers cost a lot more than this one did (I bought this one for about £12, from Amazon), so it was good to get a deal on it. The package includes the charger itself, 4 AA batteries and a car adapter, so you can charge your batteries in the car. The batteries are easy to insert, there are two spring-loaded extensions that spring out. These are so you can charge AAA batteries as well, and they fold away when you're charging AA batteries. I find that charging batteries doesn't take very much time at all, I just leave them in for a short while and after a short while the red light turns green to show that the charge is complete. A 'smart' charger worth buying

Advantages: Low cost, Car charger inc, fast charge times, battery charge detection
Disadvantages: Cautious on overcharging leaving batteries not 100% full

...I picked up this charger a few days ago for £8 with 4 1000mah AAA batteries which seemed like a great price to me for a 'Smart' charger. In the package I got the charger (quite slim) a standard plug adaptor and a car charger making it ideal to take around with you ensuring you never miss out on a photo perfect moment. The charger has space for 2 or 4 AA or AAA batteries and has quite a rapid charge time. Here are the charge times quoted by Uniross: Charging Times: AA 1300mAh : 120 mins, AA 2500mAh : 255mins, AAA 900mAh : 180 mins It is not the fastest charger around but clearly not the slowest. The main reason why I choose this charger was as it had a charge detection system allowing it to detect how much charge a battery needs until its full. The Archos 705 WIFI Media Player

Advantages: Touch screen, large memory, great screen resolution, wireless internet.
Disadvantages: Maximum volume could be better through the in-built speakers

...The Archos 705 WIFI is probably one of my favourite purchases of the last 18 months. For its fantastically wide range of features including a touch screen, wireless internet, hard drive video storage (recordings can be made directly from a tv), photo storage and a great music library, this is the best value for money Multi-media player I have come across. The Archos comes with lots of accessories including a car headrest mounting case which is great for when your trying to entertain the kids in the back of the car on long journeys. Its memory is around 40gb which is quite large for its size and allows you to store thousands of songs and around many hours of videos. The resolution is also extremely impressive....

Advantages: Great screen quality and size, built in speaker and stand.
Disadvantages: The only downside is that it is fragile, and can be hard to get used to the on screen keyboard.

...If you are an i-pod loyal looking for a new video device than look elsewhere, but for those seeking an alternative look no further. The Archos 605 provides a worthy alternative to the I-pod video, although it suffers from a less ergonomic design and is heavier due in part to the hard drive. However where it does better the ipod is it's durability with a rugged case and strong solid build quality feel to the buttons it will be hard to break. The large screen makes viewing a pleasure and the battery is capable, in my experience, of at least 5 hours solid video playback but i am yet to meet the claim of 17 hours music playback advertised with the unit averaging about 13-15 hours without recharge. Advantages: Cheap, reliable, long lasting, reasonable price.
Disadvantages: Still gets warm. Plastic plug = breakable?

...believe that most of my batteries have charged in about 60 minutes, on a full charge from an empty battery. As well as getting the charger, which plugs straight into the wall it includes 4 x 2500mAh Ni-Mh AA's (which are in sliver, and look quite attractive, you won't get these thrown out as they definately stand out from panasonic and duracell) You can charge AAA batteries however the sale only comes with 4 AA batteries. It has a sensor control, a red and green light, to tell you when it is still charging and when the charge is fully complete. Another helpful feature is that it includes a car adapter for no extra cost. This charger the Sprint 90 accepts Ni-Mh and Ni-Cd batteries, in both AA and AAA Formats, charging them in sets of 2 or 4 at a time. Also charging 2 batteries will reduce the charging time.
