Oakleigh Guest House
Advantages: A warming, pleasant atmosphere with spotless rooms and good service
Disadvantages: Decor not particularly modern
...I currently live in Stourport on Severn in the heart of Worcestershire and recently had some distant relatives come to visit for the weekend and we needed somewhere for them to stay as our house just wasn?t big enough to accommodate the whole family. In the end we decided to book a couple of rooms at the Oakleigh Guest House as I had heard good reviews on the place from friends.
~Location~
Oakleigh Guest House is situated right in the heart of Stourport on Severn town centre so is in a perfect location to access all the local amenities. However it is situated far enough away from the main High Street so that you don?t get the noise from the pubs on a Friday and Saturday Night.
The guest house is situated on York Street in Stourport on Severn and is situated right next to the canal lock and overlooks the basin and river which...

Fathers Guest House, great place in the Cameron Highlands
Advantages: Location, views, surroundings
Disadvantages: Disappointing dorm room
...Fathers Guest house has the perfect location on a small hill overlooking the tiny town of Tanah Rata in the Cameron highlands. Situated outside the town, but only a 3 minute walk into it, it has fantastic views and is tranquil but still has access to any activities the town has to offer.
If you call the owners in advance letting them known when you will arrive then they will collect you from the town and save the walk up the hill with heavy bags. They also tend to be one of the touts who wander the bus drop off area and so if you arrive by bus then there is almost always someone there who you can ask to get a lift up the hill.
Driving up towards the guesthouse the first thing that is obvious is that this is a beautiful area. The views from the top go right across the town and amongst the rolling hills of the area. The Cameron highlands...

An excellent guest house, hotel to stay in islamabad
Advantages: Prompt service, Personal attention paid each guest by the management, Worth the price
Disadvantages: Not any as of i remember
...I stayed at at five other small hotels and guest houses in Islamabad Pakistan before I found the New Cape and I believe you would be hard-pressed to find a better place in Islamabad for the price.
The house is a large villa which is immaculate and spacious with hi-speed Internet, and large rooms with plenty of light. I was fortunate to have a huge balcony as well.
The house is centrally located in an upscale, quiet and secure residential neighborhood within walking distance between the two nicest markets in the city, which host good best bookshops, clothing stores, bakeries and restaurants.
However, the traditional Pakistani food served at the guest house is excellent and all the dishes I ordered tasted homemade.
The owner, Karim, is very friendly and will gladly try to assist you with any assistance you may need. (I didn't have...

Tarbet House - a cut above the rest!
Advantages: Stunning views, modern and spacious!
Disadvantages: Does not cater for children or pets
...to eat and it was after 5pm. She had a huge selection of menus for restaurants/pubs in the surrounding areas. Her knowledge of the area and places to eat were a definate bonus. Paula & George also had plenty of suggestions of attractions which we could visit come rain or shine.
Bedrooms
The house has three guest suites: The Macgregor, The Buchanan and The Macfarlane Suite. All rooms are en suite with a bath and seperate walk in shower. A hospitality tray wth tea & coffee making facilities, TV, DVD, Clock / Radio, Iron & Ironing Board Station were all available.
* The Macgregor - whilst I did not see this room I believe that it was a double bedroom with a seperate sitting room. The suite has views facing south over Loch Lomond.
* The Buchanan - I stayed in this room myself. This suite was double bedroom with King Size...

South Hampton Guest House - ok
Advantages: Reasonably Priced
Disadvantages: Very Small Rooms
...My partner and I stayed at the South Hampton Guest House for a weekend in early 2006. We choose the property because it was reasonably close to the centre of Cambridge Township (about 15-20 minutes walk) and also for it's price. We paid £45/night for the two of us including breakfast. The general décor was nothing to marvel about, a bit pokey and very old fashioned. However, keeping in mind what we paid our stay was reasonable.
The rooms (I think there were 4 or 5 in total) were on the small side. Ours was fitted with a double bed, a single chair, one bedside table, a small wardrobe with several drawers attached and a tv mounted on the wall. There was a little side tray containing tea, coffee milk and a few biscuits. There was very little room for much else and we had to store our 1 suitcase on top of the wardrobe. There was...

Beautiful Guest House - recommended
Advantages: Very close to city centre
Disadvantages: none
...The Anchor Guest House is situated in the city centre. From Dublin Airport, travel on the 747 (Easily caught from outside the airport exit, well signposted and regular) Stay on the bus until Dublin Bus Station, the Anchor Guest House is situated in Lower Gardiner Street which is just round the corner from the bus station.
The Guest House is a town house with a new extension on the back. There are a few steps to go up and I have not seen a ramp. From the entrance hall, up about 10 stairs you walk through a sitting room to the extension which has a lift.
The rooms are all well presented, clean and tidy with Television and en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. A tea tray will be put in the room for an extra small payment and will be filled up everyday.
We have only stayed in twin rooms, but they will let them to...

1811 Georgian Town - a superior style guest house
Advantages: Stunning house, high quality, diets catered for, excellent service, slept like a log
Disadvantages: Nothing I can suggest
...I dont normally stay in guest houses unless in South Africa or Canada where the B&B style is much different. There you expect luxury rooms, a home baked breakfast, good conversation and a great location. Have now found one in Central London that is completely to my taste. The 1811 Georgian Town house is exactly as it says on the tin - a Regency property that has been metriculouly restored to English Heritage standards. The property is not only grade II listed outside but so all authentic on the inside and why the 1811 Georgian Town House was selected for my business trip.
Hats off to our host, I'm not the easiest of guests but she responded to every need without being flustered I'm lactose intolerant and vegetarian, dont like man made fibres and had too much to do in too little time. With a gracious and helpful attitude she...

Guests come to the Town
Advantages: Some good writing in parts
Disadvantages: Badly drawn characters, rather unbelievable
...life behind to live in a small, dull town.
Greg's mother seems to be the most comfortable. She is a purebred "Molakan" and very set in her ways, even blessing the entire house before anyone can enter.
Unfortunately, the idyllic small-town life that Greg so desperately wants for his family doesn't materialize.
Something else is waiting for him in McGuane instead.
Something strange.
Something frightening.
Something that is making the inhabitants of McGuane die.
When these strange murders start to happen to the people of McGuane- it is Greg and his family who get the blame.
Greg doesn't know what is happening; but his mother and the other Russian members of her Molokan church do.
Uninvited guests have arrived in McGuane.
Guests that cannot be seen.
Guests that cannot be heard.
Guests that cannot be...

A cry in the dark!
Advantages: Good price, useful location, clean and comfortable
Disadvantages: Breakfast served only in room, poor breakfast, no lock/light working in bathroom
...others have are situated away from the stairs so you won't have the noise from other guests as they come and go. An ironing board and iron were usefully located on one of the landings.
There were two bedrooms on our floor and a bathroom with toilet and shower on the same floor. The floor below us had its own bathroom too. Inside the room was a washbasin. I'm a bit confused as to how many rooms and what facilities the guest house actually has. There are either seven or eight rooms - we were in Room Seven but I am not sure whether the one next to it was six or eight. The website says the guest house can accommodate up to sixteen people but also says that there are triple/family rooms. All rooms are at least doubles so I would have thought they could accommodate more than sixteen. Anyway, moving on...
There are two bedrooms on the ground...
