Ariel Tablets

Advantages: Clean fresh smell, good value
Disadvantages: Awkward box, price as part of the grocery shop in a supermarket.

...First review I have written in a while, bear with me if I come across a bit rusty! Now I am very fussy about what washing detergent I use! I like to use one that smells nice, and that is my main concern. There?s a couple I can?t use as they seem to irritate me like mad, Persil Non-Bio is a no-go, as is Daz and Fairy. Normally I purchase whatever is on offer, or if I can get to Makro, I will buy it there. Failing that I?ll go for Tesco?s own Bio washing detergent. My favourite washing detergent has to be Ariel Tablets though, and on a recent trip to Makro, I bought in bulk! -The Packaging. These tablets, as they were from Makro, came in 2 boxes of 82 tablets as they are meant for industries such as catering and cleaning I suppose. You don't have to go to sea for this Mermaid.

Advantages: Good well cooked food and a vast choice
Disadvantages: The distance for us to travel, I would like it to be a bit closer to home

I'll swop with you Ariel!!!

Advantages: too many to mention
Disadvantages: none

Following this is the section of the film I tend to forget about, Usula knowing that Eric only really remembers Ariel's voice uses it to try and con him in to marrying her instead (disguised as Vanessa). But of course this is Disney and theres no way that the happy ending will be stopped by this intervention. Oh dear this DVD just told me theres a Little Mermaid 3, why did I not already know this? Why has no one told me? Am very annoyed at now, I must find out about this! Sorry back to the review. I have the 2 disc special edition so it has many extra features on the second disc as well as the film having been restored so the colours are brighter but also many of the errors in colour have been corrected from the original (try watching it on VHS as spot the differences). There are games to be found on this as well as on The Little Mermaid 2...

Fancy sharing your bath with a mermaid??

Advantages: fun toy for the bath
Disadvantages: none

...MY daughter is a big fan of Dora the Explorer so she was highly delighted when she received this Dora Swim and Splash Mermaid as a present from her nan on her fourth birthday. I was also very pleased because this is a bath toy and most of the bath toys we have, we have had since the girls were babies so they seem to have outgrown most. The toy is about 25 cm tall and although it has Dora's face, instead of legs she has a mermaid's tail. She has long black hair and a beautiful jewelled necklace around her neck. I'm sure that my daughter would be perfectly happy just to play with her in the bath as she is (because she thinks she is so pretty), even if she did nothing extra at all! But of course there is more to this toy because this is a 'swim and splash' mermaid, so as you would expect, Dora does actually swim - or I would say she has...

Advantages: enjoyable music and fun for the whole family
Disadvantages: kids watching over too many times ;)

Advantages: A great story
Disadvantages: Short like other Disney films

...I remember being taken to see this by my mum when I was younger. I've been brought up on Disney films and am now buying one on DVD every now and again so that when I have children I'll be able to share that with them too. Maybe that's why I'm such a fan of Disney films. Whenever I sit down to watch them I feel a warm comfortable family feeling. I love knowing that good will triumph over bad in Disney films and all will end well. Ariel is the star of our tale a beautiful young girl of 16. Not any ordinary girl though. Ariel is a mermaid and not just any mermaid either. She is the youngest and most favourite daughter of King Tritan. She is a mer-princess. Unlike all of her many sisters (six to be exact) she doesn't appreciate her position in life. She, being a princess as you can imagine, could have a life of luxury...

Fairies and Mermaids galore

Advantages: Lovely book for fairy and mermaid mad little people!
Disadvantages: None unless you don't like them!

...A lovely book for anyone who loves fairies and mermaids and wants to draw and paint them. This was a definite for little miss who seems to spend all her time drawing pictures of fish tailed ladies and those little flying ladies and girls. The book gets straight onto the descriptions of how to draw them, without any long forward or explanantion as to how the book should be used. After all, if you buy the book, you want to learn how to draw them not be told how to use the book! It is divided into two page spreads detailing the drawing or painting of diiferent types of mermaids and fairies, startin, naturally enough, with simple fairies. Other activities include Love Heart fairies, Rainy Day fairies, Fairy Paperchain, Mermaids' Tea party, Mermaid door sign. In all, there are 17 activites, so more than enough to keep little people...

...I would love to visit all the capital cities of Europe, so naturally, last October, when I was given the opportunity to go to Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, I grabbed it with open hands! I have always loved Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales, so with Copenhagen once being his home, I was absolutely delighted to be going. The Little Mermaid was one of the first attractions we visited because we really wanted to see it and we were only there for four days. Advantages: Convenience
Disadvantages: Can be an irritant to sensitive skin

...I originally bought these tablets because they were on special offer, but found them very easy to use. These tablets are incredibly clean to use, they are just popped in the draw and don't leave any powdery residue, as you might expect. They are much less hassle then the other brands of tablets, which have to go in the drum in a little mesh bag. I am also quite concerned about the mesh bag itself on other brands, as Watchdog showed examples of cases where the mesh bags have got caught in the machinery of washing machines and broken them. The tablets clean really well and leave clothes smelling fresh and feeling soft. I'd recommend these to anybody who has better things to do than cleaning up spilt washing powder (doesn't it just get everywhere?) Ariel tablets must work out slightly more expensive than ordinary powder and do not...

Ariel Excel Gel - what is all the fuss about?

Advantages: Looks good and easy to use with dispensing in the drawer.
Disadvantages: Not value for money even when on promotion.

...I recently purchased Ariel Excel Gel laundry detergent after seeing it advertised on television. My usual purchase would be the Ariel 2 x conc liquid since it is almost impossible to find the old bigger Ariel dilute packs anymore. I had heard some good things from friends about the cleaning quality of Excel gel and ease of use, so certainly wanted to try it. I purchased the product on offer at Tesco for £3.98 for 18 washes. The pack looks good and interesting with the dispenser (plastic ball) forming part of the lid. In terms of use it is easy to use, squeezing the gel into the ball and then placing in the drum with the washing. An advantage for me as it does not clog up the dispenser drawer. Can it wash effectively at 15 degrees? I don't know as my washing machine cannot set a temperature that low (in fact no washing machine...
