Keep me Warm and Dry in Winter.

Advantages: Warm, waterproof, easy to use.
Disadvantages: None to me.

...The British weather has a lot to answer to. One minute it is like the middle of summer and the ground is rock hard and we really need rain. The next minute, it is like the middle of winter again. The rain has come and events have been cancelled for being too wet! I did put my rugs away, but they are out again now, partly due to the fact that after work on Thursday, my horse out without a rug, was too wet to ride. I haven`t gone back to the rug that I am reviewing though as it really is a winter rug, but my thoroghbred has a medium one on. I have so many rugs I don`t know what to do with them (almost, I have more than one horse though), but the Weatherbeeta Arion Combo is a good one. Semi Charmed Kind Of Life

Get the funk out

Advantages: Original, superb soundtrack and great fun!
Disadvantages: 'Invisible slopes', bloody Taurus!!! Oh, and the restrictive cockpit too

...a REALLY good one, they're generally mindless thumping dance/techno soundtracks which have no bearing on the game, or tinkly happy-happy tunes that will annoy you after 5 minutes. The best soundtracks I've ever heard on games, the kind you can just put in your CD player and enjoy without even playing the game, are Total Annihilation (beautiful stirring classical tracks) and this soundtrack. This soundtrack perfectly captures the seventies theme of the game. There's some excellent funky guitar work, with lots of deep filtered bass, and the occasional welcome blast of a horn section. Advantages: One big adrenaline rush, a storyline you can relate to.

Lyrical genius and a well tuned guitar!

Advantages: Uplifting rock anthems, with great lyrics!
Disadvantages: Can be a little repetitive

A few days in Amsterdam

Advantages: Short way from home, a small city with a big city feel, museums
Disadvantages: It is a bit too small to match cities like Paris and London

.... And there were figures carved in stone above the different entrances. Of course it is hard to explain how all of this looks but it was quite a sight. I guess they had also thought about which rooms being used for what before they built the whole thing. A nice example of this is two rooms that were right next to each other. One of the rooms was the insurance room and above the entrance there is stone carvings of the Greek poet Arion being saved from drowning by a dolphin. The room next door was the bankruptcy room and above the door here one can see Icarus as he falls towards the sea after coming too close to the sun. There are also small details like carvings of poisonous plants, rats crawling over empty money chests and so on. Madame Tussaud: Yes, Amsterdam also have a Madame Tussaud wax gallery.
