Advantages: Good idea for a game, easy controls.
Disadvantages: Poor sound effects and music, not so good graphics.

Unsinkable Attack

Advantages: Clever plot, twists and turns
Disadvantages: Not as funny as previous work

He is stumped when Lafayette seems to be passing all of the tests and can't seem to work out what scam he is running..... This is a fairly clever story and looks at the scams that psychics employ to trick people into parting with their money. There are also some attacks on popular press and politicians which is generally to be expected from Brookmyre. Although the book was enjoyable enough, it just wasn't as funny as his other work (in my opinion). The black humour is still present but it just didn't grab me as his books normally do. "A Big Boy Did It and Ran Away" had me laughing aloud on the train and although this was funny it just wasn't the same type of humour. I still enjoyed reading this book but for me it wasn't his best and I'm glad...

Arty Des Arts!

Advantages: Original building, nice and clean and decent rooms
Disadvantages: Could have quirkier rooms to match the rest of the hotel.

...perceived it from stood outside. Inside was a mix of modern touches such as the small lobby lounge with a flat screen pc for guests to use mixed in with the artistic and very Parisian style furniture and the art that hung on nearly every wall. I actually if I'm honest couldn't decide if I liked it or not as I did because it was boutique and intimate and at the same time some of the decor was too 'old fashioned' looking for my taste. However I think if you came to this hotel you wouldn't be disgusted by it and as you don't recoil in horror when you check in to a hotel that that has to be a good thing! The rooms: I would say I expected the rooms to be different after the decor of the hotel in the lobby and I guess it was because they seemed a little boring somehow - the lobby area had nice chairs and lots of art along with flowers...

...Attack of the Puppet People Let me start off by saying, I really enjoyed this quirky and odd movie. There is a weak point in this movie and it is right at the start. We meet the mysterous Mr. Franz who is a doll maker. He is also strangely very worried about being alone, hence the doll making. He is also; it appears, quite brilliant at making devices such as the one he uses to shrink people down to the size of your index finger. He soon has a whole group of ?mini? people but he goes too far when he shrinks down his secretary and her boyfriend. He even shrinks cups and saucers for them! Then things start to go wrong as they decide to escape and exact some revenge on the barmy doll maker/scientist. The over acting at time is hilarious and the special effects leave a lot to be desired. But the movie moves along...

Advantages: Superb graphics, great sound/voice overs, interesting missions, and very complex
Disadvantages: Needs a lot of patience, difficult AI, slow movement of graphics, and no multiplayer

...The first submarine simulation game I played when I was a kid and despite its retro status, I still find myself playing it once in a while. Even though I mainly played the Amiga version when I was a kid, the Mega Drive version is literally the same and I'm currently trying it out again years later through an emulator. Plotline Taking place during the Cold War between the USA and the Soviet Union. 688 Attack Sub uses the what if scenarios and shows the worst what could have happened all those years ago. Starting from minor threats between the two countries and eventually turning into a world war. Gameplay The entire interface gives you that instant feeling that you're inside a submarine and in total command. As you can see from one of my pictures, there are several stations that need to be commanded and waiting for orders...
