Asda Sea Vitamins & Minerals Shampoo/Conditioner
Review of Asda Shampoo by  CFG1985

Advantages: Soft, silky, manageable hair - one of the best!
Disadvantages: None!

...I've never used one particular brand of shampoo. I'm actually one of those tight-wads who generally buys whatever is on offer at the time. My hair doesn't appreciate being messed about like that, and tends to respond by going all sulky (sulky hair, by the way, is a nightmare.) But for the past six months, there's been one brand and one brand only - and that's Asda's Sea Vitamins and Minerals. Shamefully, I only bought this shampoo (and the conditioner) because it matched the colour of the bathroom in the flat I had just moved into. I remember being quite concerned by the fact that it was only 82p for 400ml, and had resigned myself to the fact that it was probably rubbish. Still, I reasoned, it matches my exciting new bathroom, and that's good enough for any excitable young homemaker. When I opened the bottle for the first time, I... Read review

Asda Purify deep cleansing shampoo
Review of Asda Shampoo by  pennii

Advantages: gorgeous smell that leaves your hair soft
Disadvantages: More expensive than other Asda shampoos

...I think I'm addicted to Ciao. I was having a relaxing bath earlier and I usually nick my daughter's 'L'oreal kids' shampoo to wash my hair with because it makes my hair smell like a bowl of exotic fruit. Instead, my honest to god thought was 'I won't use that one, they haven't got a category for it on Ciao, I'd better use the Asda one'. I should start up a support group called 'life entirely ruled by a web site anonymous'. Anyways, this particular brand is called 'Purify' and costs £1.69 for a 250ml bottle. It's a whole quid dearer than Asda's cheapest shampoo, and 70p more than their mid price bottles. The latter lathers up too easily so has too much detergent in it and leaves my hair feeling brittle and haystack like. So I dug deeper into my back pocket full of loose change (And slapped it like all us Asda shoppers do... Read review

Asda Coconut shampoo and Conditioner- WOW!
Review of Asda Shampoo by  djej123

Advantages: Leaves hair soft and shiny. And the lush smell!
Disadvantages: None It's SUPER!!

...My Brother is letting me write another review so this is djej's sister again. As others might know I had a hair colour disaster just before I went on holiday in Majorca. I wanted to be a Bleach Blonde Babe but my wavy hair turned out a bit more like a lions mane instead. I was in Asda with my mum two days before our flight with a hat on looking in the shampoo section for holiday supplies. And amongest all the discustingly priced celebrity Shampoos and Conditioners there was Asdas Coconut Shampoo and conditioner, they were an absolute bargin at only 83p each! The Bottles are 300ml bottles and are a pale white/cream colour and it says it's for dry or damaged hair. They also have the lovley picture of split coconuts on them which adds to the holiday feel even more. So I got them hoping that the low price wouldnt mean low performance... Read review

Asda Coconut Shampoo and conditioner
Review of Asda Shampoo by  helloiamkirsty

Advantages: The price! Only 83p! The fragrance, and the way it makes my hair feel.
Disadvantages: Doesn't come in big enough bottles! Need to use quite a lot for lomg or thick hair.

...I have always bought expensive hair products, spending about £5 just on a bottle of shampoo, but since I first tried Asda's coconut shampoo and conditioner, I've been hooked! The Product: I always use both the Asda coconut shampoo and conditioner. They smell of lovely coconut (which I suppose you either love it or hate it, but I love it!). They is for dry or dmaged hair, and come in bottles, sold for 83p each. Good points: I was so impressed with this shampoo and conditioner, I have long hair, which has been dyed a few times, so tends to get dry and slightly frizzy, but these products have really helped. They made my hair soft and shiny (something many expensive shampoos and conditioners fail to do). My hair also still had the fragrance of cocnut after I had washed and dried it. I could easily brush my wet hair after I had washed it... Read review

Asda Shampoo
Review of Asda Shampoo by  Adsi

Advantages: washes hair
Disadvantages: not a brand

...This Shampoo is quite good although it isnt a brand name one like loreal or aveda, but hey you never know, Asda might be seen as fashionable one day! The shampoo comes in a bottle, which needs to be squeezed to get out of the bottle, a bit of a problem when you have slippy hands in the shower!!!! This shampoo is for frequent use and was £1.38 for 500 Ml. you to wet your hair then apply the shampoo, massage it into your scalp and hair working up a lather, when this is done, rinse your hair and repeat if needed. The Asda shampoo for normal / greasy hair is an orange-red colour and is called lemon / mandarin. It worked well and left my hair feeling shiny and smelling good.... Read review

Enhancing Henna & Plum Shampoo
Review of Asda Shampoo by  grown_up_girlie

Advantages: Cheap, smells wonderful
Disadvantages: Henna is for brunettes only!

...PRODUCT: The product I am reviewing is: Asda, Enhancing Henna & Plum Shampoo, for Dark & Coloured hair. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: I'm trying to save money nowadays as I am progressing into the world of responsibility - will be getting my own place soon and will be solely responsible for all the bills, it's a very daunting thought so I do what I can to save every penny. I have always had a keen eye for a bargain and when I do my toiletries shopping I normally go to Tesco, primarily so I can buy in bulk and take advantage of all those special buy one, get on free offers they are so well renowned for. I would normally buy the proper brand named toiletries such as Elvive, Pantene, Dove, Fructis etc, not so much that I am a snob, but that I have a very sensitive scalp and I seem to develop allergies to the cheaper... Asda goes and does it again
Review of Asda Tea Tree Shampoo by  markcollins

Advantages: Smells Great, Cheap, Lasts forever.
Disadvantages: Gets robbed by other members of your family!!!

...My opinion on Asda Tea Tree Shampoo... ***DESCRIPTION*** Asda Tea Tree shampoo is available in the hair care section at every Asda Store. It is usually in a medium, slim, green bottle but sometimes it is in a blue one. ***COST*** At present, this shampoo costs 88p and for that price you get approximately 300ml, I am not too sure. ***SENSATION*** At first, it feels like your head has frozen but as you begin to massage it into your head, it becomes very minty. What I mean is, your hair smells of mint and looks and feels fresh. ***HOW LONG IT LASTS FOR*** Based on a family of four, the bottle should last for just over a week but what I tend to do is but a couple of bottles and store them. ***ALSO AVAILABLE*** Asda also stock many other own brand shampoos. These include... >Asda Anti Dandruff (like Vosene) >Asda... Read review

The shampoo with the cross-eyed stare !
Review of Asda Bubbly Berry 2 in 1 Shampoo by  Birky

Advantages: Smells good enough to eat
Disadvantages: Doesn't quite detangle all of the hair

..., it almost reminded me of blackcurrant tunes. I tried to figure out what was going on in the picture on the bottle...... what on earth had she picked up was it some kind of bubble bath ? It was in fact Asda's bubbly berry 2 in 1 shampoo. The shampoo is part of the 'more for kids' range at Asda. As you look at the bottle you notice a large pair of eyes staring at you from behind a diving mask and snorkel surrounded by pink bubbles. Hmm interesting ! The bottom of the bottle was not flat, but had two little flipper shaped feet to stand on. OOOooh the bottle is a little diver ! As it is a shampoo formulated especially for children it claims to be mild and gentle, pH balanced and dermatested. Oh and don't forget 'Fantastically Fruity' !. However, I am very suspicious of 2 in 1 shampoos, having tried them myself I did not find any of them had... Read review

Why I dumped Asda - A Strangely Difficult Acronym
Review of Asda (Shop) by  Malibu_jenny

Advantages: Some things are cheaper. It makes a change from Tesco
Disadvantages: It's dangerous and full of empty shelves. They can't check stock.

...that the novelty was the attraction for me. That's about it. Oh, and we liked shouting 'That's Asda Price!' at each other. What put me off? They don't have the loyalty card that Tesco do, so I worry that I'm missing out on vouchers. Some things are cheaper (biscuits, cakes) and a lot are not (Shampoo, Tinned fruit, Organic Pasta ). Savings at Asda compared to Tesco aren't massive. The final nail in Asda's coffin came when they didn't restock their shelves for over a month. I sent the following letter: **************************************************************** ** Dear Sir/s, I am writing to tell you that I will be withdrawing my custom from ASDA and why I will be doing so. I feel that leaving you without the opportunity to improve your stores would be unfair on other customers. Today, I visited ASDA, XXXXX to find that the single... Read review

It Asda Be Asda For Me
Review of Asda (Shop) by  KRISPY13

Advantages: Easy on the bank balance
Disadvantages: Transport probably needed

...************************************* This is my next stop to stock up on the pills and potions, creams and lotions, enough to heal the world. Asda own brands again are a must. Asprin is Asprin too me. The cheaper the better it all does the same job. My sons nappies and wipes are next. Again a good contrast of choice and price, but I swear by Asdas own brand. They really are good quality and value for money, if you have young children you must try these. They come in various sizes for whatever age your child and you have the choice between small packs or large. Then on to bodycare which is on the next isle along, although I don't usually get any things from here. However, on occasion I do buy the Asda own deoderant as it is really pleasant and cheap. As for shampoos and soaps, I prefer to buy elswhere, but there are often good offers on you just have to look to find them... Read review
