...that has so much potential Grisham has give our main ?hero? no real reason for acting in the way that he does, it?s hard to say more than that without giving away too much plot, but suffice it to say, 99% of the population would have done the exact opposite of what Kyle does (in my opinion). The only person who came across as even remotely sympathetic was Kyle?s father, but even then there wasn?t a great deal of depth to him. My major problem with The Associate is that it follows the line of so many of Grisham?s books and he does seem to be collecting bit and pieces of other novels and adding them to this one, and at least for the majority of the book Grisham writes with his usual style. The ending however is quite apart from his usual writing, I don?t want to give anything away, except to say it was a huge disappointment for me...

...The College Stonebridge Associated Colleges is one of the biggest distance learning colleges in the world which claims to offer over 600 courses worldwide. They are based in Bude, Cornwall, UK but distance learning can be completed either via the postal service or online. Postal tuition comes in the form of text books, paper books put together with enough information to guide you through your chose course in the hope you pass. As with all learning you are expected to source your own external material to assist your learning. This is the method I use. You post your work with a cover sheet and receive a marked response usually 7 days later, though you do not receive the work you sent so it is worth keeping a copy. Most incompetent award given to Associates Finance

Disadvantages: High APR, High redeption penalties, Awful Customer Service

...Where do I start with Associates Motor Finance? Front loading of Loans gives a whopping 18.3% apr. Rude and abusive customer service. I tried to get a settlement figure out of the Associates regarding our car loan after they accused us of being two months in arrears despite paying on the dot every month by direct debit. I phoned up numerous times to receive one by fax three hours later. I look through the figures and there was a glaring mistake. I phoned them back to point out the error and ask for a correct settlement figure - all I got was abuse and accusations about calling the customer (dis)service advisor "stupid". I eventually spoke to a supervisor who promised a new (and correct) fax - needless to say a week later this has not arrived. On the original fax I noticed that they were only prepared to give a £20 discount...

Associates Cash In

Advantages: Easy to use, well known and great support, huge selection
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest books on the web

...I guess this opinion could apply to any of the AMAZON websites around the world. I signed up as an affiliate with Amazon.com a couple of years ago and since then I have never paid for a book!! I chose the option of Gift Certificates instead of cash because I really didn't want to spend all my time maintaining an online bookshop and just wanted to put a few books on a web page that were of interest to me. I've since developed a somewhat larger site but it is still in the realm of hobby rather than business. I have been very satisfied with the support that has been provided by the AMAZON ASSOCIATES staff. Of course AMAZON have an incomparable selection of goods for sale and they have become THE name that people refer to when they talk about book shopping online. Admittedly being a big organisation they do run into problems...

Advantages: The start of Quest 2. at last!
Disadvantages: A bit of a random op- hope you can follow where it is supposed to be going

...A is for Association, linking like a chain, shiny gold like the sun over the sea. And the water washes against the beach, little waves and eddies, playing in the sand. The children are building sand castles. We are watching, late into the afternoon, to see the tide come in and wash them away. Crumbling ramparts. Saucy By Association

Advantages: Some good songs

...surprised. I recommend it, especially to those who are stuck in the same musical era as me, as it will stir the odd memory, even if the songs are new to you. There's just something about the genre that ignits those flashbacks you see lol. To the pupsters, I say give it a whirl. You don't have to let your mates know about it , do you! EXTRA INFO: I have seen this on CD at Amazon for £4, so get surfing! There are no special features here though. Just the song titles and the usual associated names....

Sulk - with one of the best Scottish bands ever

Advantages: Amazing 80s synth pop, incredible vocals
Disadvantages: Not the easiest of albums to listen to in places

...The Associates Back in 1982, a band from Dundee called the Associates broke through to the mainstream. Led by Billy Mackenzie, and ably supported by Alan Rankine, they were a band who looked, quite simply, amazing. Rankine was handsome, but Mackenzie was something else again. Bjork wrote of Venus as a Boy and Mackenzie was quite possibly the closest I have ever seen to the human embodiment of this. Bisexual, he was adored by both genders in equal measure and he lived the high life, even when he didn't have a penny to his name. When his contract with WEA records came to an end he was stony broke. He asked the music executives at the London office if they would pay for a cab home for him, which they agreed to, assuming Mackenzie was going somewhere nearby. ...assignments to a tutor in Plymouth. I sat the unit 1 skills test in June 06, however the apprenticeship agency were then taken over and became part of Cornwall College. I sat the unit 2 skills test in September and studied units 4, 21, 22 and 23. Unit 21 (working with computers) used the IAB (International Association of Bookkeppers) levels 2 and 3 with voluntary exams. This was a nice touch by the college as it allows students to gain complementary qualifications to the AAT and also gains them some much needed additional funding. You were also given the opportunity to study for Microsoft specialist, I came away with IAB level 2 (I got an F in level 3) and Microsoft specialist in Word and Excel. Unit 22 (health and safety) was a one day course followed by a quiz of 30 multiple choice questions, plus some workplace evidence. This was very simple...
