When Rushed Beat Becomes Rival Turd

Disadvantages: Dubious collision detection and parameters, animation can be poor

...Not only are the likes of the opening sequence and the difficulty settings of Rushing Beat (the Japanese version of the game) missing in Rival Turf!, but I believe there to be insignificant tweaks to the fighting system as well. There are two playable characters to choose from, though there seems to be this glitch with Oozie Nelson where he is able to power-bomb an enemy successively without extending the damage dealt, but this is a minor issue. A feature of Rival Turf! is the Angry Mode, whereby following much damage taken, the player temporarily becomes invincible and is able to deal out heavy damage. Might as well turn it on as there's really not much scope when it comes to the fighting. There's no priority move - not even the special attack which comes at the cost of the player score. You would do well not to resort to running...

Surf and Turf in the Yorkshire Dales

Outside of this are another couple of modern nooks and a ?whisky lounge? with leather seating and a fire place presumably lit in winter. Here you can find a selection of newspapers and books including a beer guide amongst others. A nice terrace outside has a number of tables with a bizarre mix of lobster pots and pot cows and sheep - a nice place to sit outside on a sunny day. Truly surf and turf in the Yorkshire Dales. On returning to the room we noticed it smelled a bit "foody" and noticed this again each time we returned. The location of this room did seem to be at the backend of the inn where the kitchens where. ...Originally released on 11th April 1995 Astro Creep 2000 marked the fourth and final studio album that would be produced by the band White Zombie. White Zombie was a fantasy horror based band fronted by now solo artist Rob Zombie. The music on this and their other albums mainly revolve around the horror themes and include a large number of samples from various horror films included in them. The first example of this can be heard straight away as the CD?s starting up with the line "Perhaps you had better start from the beginning" which is from the film "To the Devil a Daughter" a film starring Christopher Lee. This theme of samples continues pretty much throughout the whole album with quotes from films such as "Shaft", "Dawn of the Dead" and "The Omega Man". Murders, Mistakes, Misfits

A seemingly dead man is dragged away from his wrecked car. A tape recorder rewinds. Another man drives down the freeway. In his next feat, director Ted V Mikels will attempt to tie these unrelated plot strands (from the first five minutes of the movie) together. Except for the robots. I mean really, what the heck was that about? Although it made a hilarious title sequence, and is possibly my favourite scene of all. Sadly the promise of a title such as Astro-Zombies isn't lived up to. There are no flesh eating creatures, a la George Romero. Nor are there any direct links to space. ...I do like Lego (though I am getting a little old..) and was pleased to have gotten this set in my stocking from Santa! This set is from the 'Mars Mission' series brought out by Lego which consists of lots of wonderful space things, but the particular set I got was the MX-11 Astro Fighter. It is set number 7695. The set consists of an astro fighter and 2 mini figures. The astro fighter is predominately white but has a see-through orange door and some orange bits on the wings. You have to assemble the astro fighter yourself out of lego pieces. The 2 mini figures in the set are a pilot and a green alien. I especially like the alien, he is green and see-through and is quite cute! The instruction book is very easy to follow and has pictures clearly showing the steps to make your lego. Delightful Pub Hidden in the Heart of Oxford

...Many years ago (late 70s,early 80s) I lived and worked in Oxford and frequented a charming little pub called the Turf Tavern. In fact for several months I actually lived in rooms that the pub used to let (I don't know if they still let rooms). I had fond memories of this ancient and charming pub and so recently upon visiting Oxford with the family I took the opportunity to revisit to see if it was as I remembered. To my delight it has not changed very much. They seem to have reworked the interior at the rear a bit so there seems to be a little more room but there is still not a lot of room inside. The Turf Tavern is very well hidden but not a secret to anybody who knows Oxford. You can impress your companions with your knowledge of Oxford if you can find the Turf Tavern.
