The ASUS M2N32-SLI motherboard fitted within my budget of one hundred pounds and offered a powerful tool for over clocking my components to keep my machine competing with the stresses of new programs and hardware. Fitting the motherboard and installing the other hardware was exactly the same as fitting other motherboards. The ASUS M2N32-SLI motherboard supports the AMD AM2 cpu and thus supports DDR2 ram, this meant that when recycling my old computer i was unable to use the cpu or the RAM and needed to purchase these items again. ...Asus has consistently produced top-quality products offering both superior quality and features. The A8N-SLi Deluxe is no exception to this and offers a host of overclocking and other features and excellent build quality. Installation of components onto the board is a relatively simple matter and thanks to Asus' Stack Cool 2 and the heat pipe system the board is incredibly efficient at dissipating heat. However, the one problem I did have with the board was that the onboard Realtek sound card was a little tempormental with the bundled drivers and would not install at all on Vista. Fortunately, this is easily fixed by downloading the latest drivers from Asus' website. ...When it comes to motherboards I generally stick to the top 3 manufacturers Abit ASUS or Gigabyte. So it was with this product. I had used the DFI-LAn party board for a few months, and with the range of BIOS options it became a bit of a nightmare when overclocking (Escpecially if you are a bit of a novice). So I opted for this beast with its true 16x SLI capability, and passive cooling. I've got it installed with a thermaltake Bigwater 745 water cooler on top of a 3800+ dual core chip, and dual Leadtek 7800GT's. With 2Gb of Hyper X memory, anything you throw at it is a breeze. The BIOS is one of the AI life series, so if you are an overclocking novice, it has presets from 3 to 20%+, which will take care of all the voltages and FSB multipliers. ...For your information, I decided to select a cheaper MOBO being the Asus P5N32-E SLI PLUS, rather than the Asus Striker Extreme and then upgrade the graphics card to the 8800GTX 768MB Ultra. The reason I have done this is that following considerable research and reviews on the net, the Asus P5N32-E SLI PLUS is basically a stripped down Asus Striker Extreme with almost identical performance. However the 8800GTX 768MB Ultra provides a gain in performance in all applications including games of around 10% which for me at least is a significant performance gain. Therefore if the reviews I have read are accurate, I have increased the performance of my system by at least 10% for no extra cost, in fact for a saving of £14. ...the Asus Striker Extreme the best motherboard for gamers with the technology SLI, the best motherboard I ever had, its a bit pricy but is worth every penny that you spend on that motherboard. Excelent on overclocking, very good features, supports all intel processors from pentium 4 to core 2 quad, even my internet connection is faster now with this motherboard, the only problem that I have with it is the memory because it requires QVL memory and my one isn't. Advantages: EVERY ADVANTAGE, SPEED, RELIABILITY, PERFORMANCE. A GREAT ALROUNDER.

I can only draw my conclusions is that since the only thing I had not changed was my excellent A8N-E motherboard that it must be this that has gone u/s. All the plug-ins worked fine in the other PC! ASUS: Please remake some more of these super MoBo's, there are none to be found nowadays, I have searched, there are a few s/h ones, but I want new. I searched for almost a week on the internet but can only find and STILL find the Sister motherboards, the ASUS A8N-SLI and the -VM models. Now why are these still around? They are gaming MoBo's in the main but as I cannot find a new replacement for my dead A8N-E, I will certainly get hold of one of these that are of the same brood. The ASUS A8N-SLI will do me nicely. ...this is the newest motherboard to my collection and the 1 i use the most when i got this one i noticed that all the specs and the layout of the board are identical to the asus board i reviewed earlier but more care has been put into this board a soon as you poen the box i noticed better packaging no cheap coragated cardboard wraped around this one it looked as it was a trophy in its own cabinet once you remove the board from the box there is a hidden door behind the board holding all the extra accesories inc 4x sata cables (asus only had 2) 1 ide cable for your cd drive and 1 floppy cable and 1 sli bridge for joining 2gfx cards together on the picture of the product there a 3 black heatsinks the 1 on the bottom left the asus board does not have also this board has a spdif output (optical output for sound) which asus doesnt have also...
