This mate doesn't travel well
Review of Acer TravelMate 5720G-302G16 - Core 2 Duo T7300 - 15.4" TFT by
whitedream
Advantages: Lots of features for the price
Disadvantages: Bulky, and a short battery life
...> Introduction <
Buying a budget laptop seems to be a becoming more and more popular. The quality keeps rising. Acer has shown this with its latest TravelMate laptop. I needed it for general work, which seemed ideal.
> What's it got? <
The 5720G model has a dark grey exterior and easy to access control. At the heart is an Intel 2GHz T7300 Core 2 Duo processor (very fast for a laptop), though I feel this is simply to make Windows Vista work on it at an acceptable performance (it comes installed with Vista Home Premium). It also comes installed with a decent 2GB of 667MHz DDR2 RAM, this should be enough to run Vista smoothly for some time to come, even if you like to run all of your applications at the same time!
Hard disk space is generous too. Its nominal 160GB capacity is enough to leave more than 125GB free for your own...

...Vista” with full Aero support for the ultimate vista experience. And with the built in webcam you can have video conversations/conferences without the need for external hardware. And it also has wireless WIFI technology built into the machine so there is no need to carry around a USB WIFI adapter or any other external hardware for wireless networking.
The case of the laptop is very sturdy and is made from a rigid magnesium alloy chassis for maximum protection; this should help keep the laptop safe from most minor damage. As well as been well protective the case is also sleek and sexy, it is a black glossy colour.

fantastic laptop, look no further
Review of Acer TravelMate 6492 - Core 2 Duo T7300 2 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
techno_man_37
Advantages: so fast
Disadvantages: small screen mabye?
...This is a review on the TravelMate 6492, which is designed and made by the manufacturer acer.
Acer as a respectable company are growing in popularity, and even though they may be quite away from matching rivals dell, they are still now just as well known as some other lower named laptop companies out there.
This laptop features an Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 / 2 Ghz processor, this is very fast and runs the huge 2 gb of ram installed superbly. For anyone looking for a quick laptop then look no further because you will struggle to find a laptop much quicker than this.
Another thing about this is that, even if that 2gb of ram wasn't fast enough for you, (even though it will be fast enough for nearly anyone) then you can upgrade the ram to a massive 4 gb. This can be costly however its great to have this possibility because if you think...

great laptop, but you might wish it was better
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook 6910p - Core 2 Duo T7300 2 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
techno_man_37
Advantages: portability
Disadvantages: price, amount of ram and hard drive
...know what your doing then this could be quite a costly process and might not be worth doing. However it really would make a huge difference to the performance of this laptop.
This laptop however does still run really fast despite its smallish ram. This is because of its Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 processor which runs at speeds of 2 Ghz. This is extremely fast and is what makes up for its 1 gb of ram to make everything run faster than normal.
Its hard drive is around average too. Its got a built in 80 gb hard drive to store all your data on.
This seems to be about the minimum amount of storage space laptops are being made with nowadays and will probably be enough for most people anyway.
There are many things making this laptop ultra portable, firstly its quite small, it also has a smaller screen size than most laptop. It has a 14.1 inch...

replace that old desktop
Review of Acer Aspire 5920G-302G25HN - Core 2 Duo T7300 2 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
techno_man_37
Advantages: fast
Disadvantages: rubbish webcam
...in a phone made about 5 years ago with its 0.3 megapixels.
As I was saying earlier this could easily be a replacement desktop and still run a lot faster than one. This is because of its large 2 gb of built in ram. Not only is this a lot of ram, and makes the laptop very efficient in running everything but the laptop also has a Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 / 2 Ghz processor which runs at 2 Ghzs, which makes this laptops performance really good.
Its hard drive doesn’t disappoint either offering an 120 gb of storage space for you to store anything you need on there. It transfers data at 5400 rpm which is about the best you get in laptops at the moment and is really fast too.
This laptop runs fast and has good extra features too, it looks really cool however don’t get this if you need something portable because that just isn’t...

Almost perfect
Review of Toshiba Satellite X200-20S - Core 2 Duo T7300 2 GHz - 17.1" TFT by
thewhitewolf
Advantages: Sound quality just takes you there, a giant screen!
Disadvantages: Contrast needs to be beefed up on screen. very expensive
...I saw this at a friends house the other day and had a go to test out his assertions that this was the best mainstream gaming laptop on the market. Other than the amazing looks of the laptop, the first thing that struck me was the giant 17 inch screen that just asks to be looked at.
It's a TruBrite display screen from toshiba that does give tremedous visual output in sheer colour tones and contrast. I was surprised that it worked so well when the graphics were at their maximum, but then this is a gaming machine people!
It has enough RAM to get you started at 2 GB and my mate upgraded this easily to 8 GB, meaning his laptop was extraordinarily fast. A quick Core 2 Duo T7300 processor ensures that the games are perfecto!. It has an okay 160 GB of hard drive space and that would be enough for about 20 large PC games, though i wouldn't...

christmas laptop
Review of Acer Aspire 7720 - Core 2 Duo T7300 - 17" TFT by
techno_man_37
Advantages: speeds
Disadvantages: webcam not great quality
...This review is on the acer aspire 7720 and why its such a great laptop for anyone this Christmas.
This top spec laptop will cost you around £700, which is quite a lot, but for what you are getting is a great deal.
This laptop is super quick, and can cope with very demanding software and games, it has a Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 processor which runs the installed 2 gb of ram. This 2 gb is around the most you'll get in a laptop, and you very rarely see a laptop with more than 2 gb so this is very fast. However if you do need more memory (most of you will not) then you can upgrade the ram to a massive maximum of 4 gb. This can be costly though and most people wont ever upgrade their ram on their laptop, but if you do it can make your laptop so much faster.
This laptop has a fantastic screen, and for two reasons. The first...

Acer Aspire 7720
Review of Acer Aspire 7720 - Core 2 Duo T7300 - 17" TFT by
techno_man_37
Advantages: its speed and performance
Disadvantages: rubbish webcam
...its intel core 2 duo T7300 which is one of the newest processors makes this laptop run so fast.
And if the 2 gb isn't enough for you (although I cant see this amount ever not being big enough for you), then you can easily upgrade your ram to 4gb. This will just make everything even faster than it already is, so if you so really need your laptop to be a bit faster then you have got this option at a later date. This is really good because what tends to happen is that as your laptop gets older, and your add more programs and files, it eventually gets slower and slower, this is just something that happens, so having this extra 2gb of ram available to be installed into the laptop means that if it does start to run slower than you want it to, then you can easily have extra ram installed. A bad thing about this option though, is that it can...

acer travelmate 5720
Review of Acer TravelMate 5720G-302G16 - Core 2 Duo T7300 - 15.4" TFT by
techno_man_37
Advantages: portable
Disadvantages: could have more memory
...This laptop is another one from the acer travelmate range .
Acer as a laptop company are beginig to grow, and they are now just as well know as a lot of others, but then I first saw then in shops, my first impression, and the impression of others I asked was they seemed a bit of a cheap brand, just like netto is compared to Sainsbury's. however acer have somehow seemed to change peoples minds and even managed to change my mind somehow.
If you want something sturdy, with a solid specification and in a mid price range of around £500, yet you could get one a lot cheaper now on eBay. Then this laptop could be for you.
Its Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 processor runs at 2GHz which is pretty good, and its has 1 gb of ram too. This makes it a lot faster than a lot of other laptops with only 1 gb of ram though because its processor is so quick...

wow is this the best laptop ever?
Review of Acer Aspire 9920G-302G32HN - Core 2 Duo T7300 - 20.1" TFT by
techno_man_37
Advantages: the screen
Disadvantages: portability
...Now I wouldn't call this a laptop, Id call this a machine. The sheer size of this beast makes it less portable for a laptop, but makes it great as a replacement desktop which will no doubt runs as fast and take up a lot less room.
This laptop has been designed for anyone who is looking for something specifically made for multimedia purposes.
It features a fabulous 20.1 inch TFT screen which, for a laptop is huge. This is great for watching movies on, for playing realistic games on and is just great if you want a fantastic big screen.
However the screen being this size does make the laptop really less portable, however it still wouldn't be impossible to take this laptop where ever you want and I think the features it has makes up for this small downside.
This laptop has an Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 processor, which lets the laptop...
