ASUS EAH2900XT/G/HTVDI review
Review of ASUS EAH2900XT/G/HTVDI by
neo1983
Advantages: Great speed, efficient cooling system, impressive specifications
Disadvantages: High power consumption, 8800 GTX is faster
...this useful stuff:
▬ 2 x DVI-VGA adapter
▬ 1 x HDTV adapter
▬ 1 x component video cable
▬ 1 x HDMI-DVI adapter
▬ 1 x VIVO cable
▬ 1 x CrossFire internal bridge
▬ S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl

This video card is based on the Graphics Processor / Vendor: 2900XT(R600) and has the fallowing Core Clock Speed:740 MHz and 512 MB Video Memory at 1.65 GHz Clock Speed. For comparison the normal operating speed of a 8800 GTX card are 575 Mhz at Core Clock Speed and 1.8 Ghz for Memory speed, a little lower at cpre speed but higher at memory speed.
The difference between those video cards may not seem quite important but in games there is quite a difference between those two. While ATI wins in few games...

Asus P5VD2-X
Review of ASUS P5VD2-X - motherboard - ATX - PT890 by
djohan
Advantages: Quite Cheap and Supporting Nowadays' Tech.
Disadvantages: Not Found, yet
...to recommend you P5VD2-X. It comes with nice features. It is still listed as Hot Product in their official site. For more detailed technical specifications on this product, feel free to follow the following link: http://www.asus.com.tw/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=11&l3=346&l4=0&model=1362&modelmenu=2
This motherboard is recommended for people who love playing games and processing / editing graphics or photographs. No integrated / onboard graphic adaptor comes with this board. It requires an additional PCI-Express Video Card. I usually install an ATI-Radeon X-1050 PCI-Express card (128 MB GDDR2 – 64 Bit & Windows Vista Ready). Like most motherboards, this one is also package with onboard audio system, Realtek ALC883 6-channel High Definition Audio CODEC which supports Jack-Sensing, Enumeration, Multi-streaming and Jack-Retasking and Coaxial S/PDIF out...

Asus's Solution to Cheap Wireless Networking
Review of ASUS WiFi-b by
Deru
Advantages: Cheap, Easy to set up
Disadvantages: Must have ASUS (Deluxe/Premium) motherboard with Wi-Fi@Home socket, PC must be on to use the wireless
...Asus Wi-Fi@Home is a wireless adapter card to make a PC wireless enabled at a low price BUT (and it's a big ‘BUT’) with one huge drawback. You must have a Asustek motherboard and you must have one of their Deluxe or Premium motherboards with the Wi-Fi@Home socket on the motherboard.
• Skip the following paragraph if you want
This one follows the 802.11b standard meaning it can transfer up to 11 Megabits per second of data per second, although, my Ethernet (network) is only 10 Megabits (10 Million bits) anyway. 802.11g would be the faster 54Megabit/s standard. My broadband is 512Kilobits/s (512 Thousand bits per second). These are basically transfer speeds but they’re not that important since most home networks aren’t that fast anyway and the card is sufficient.
The card comes with an antenna, driver and software CD, and user...

ASUS AM2 M2N32-SLI motherboard
Review of ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe/Wireless Edition AiLifestyle Series - motherboard - ATX - nForce 590 SLI by
cjlight
Advantages: Quality and fast overclocking, great for games
Disadvantages: In the shadow of the Core 2 duo motherboards
...the top the heat dissipater.
The ASUS M2N32-SLI motherboard comes into its own when overclocking it. The manual supplied comes with lots of information about the ins and outs of the BIOS features and on the the support disc offers an array of programs which helped me to name the two most important ones are:-
1.AI Gear allowed me to quickly change the CPU frequencies with a few clicks in the operating system and overclock it to my current computer working load
2.ASUS probe 2 allows me to check the motherboard and CPU temperatures and fan speeds to make sure that things are working properly. A customizable threshold can be set to set an alarm off to detect any problems. I found this is essential when booting up for the first time or when overclocking.
The motherboard also comes with a built in sound card, a wireless router...

ASUS EAX1950PRO"still got some steam inside"
Review of ASUS EAX1950PRO/HTDP by
krille282
Advantages: Fast for a older gen card & stable thx to excellent driversupport
Disadvantages: too expensive compared to newer series of cards
...though the performance still gives me very acceptable FPS (frames per second) when playing games with medium to high resolution set & filters like AntiAliasing/Anisotroperic filtering is enabled in moderate to high levels depending on which title I`m playing.
Adding in the fact that the HD series support DX10.1 & PCI-E 2.0 (youll need a motherboard with the Intel x38 chipset in order to use PCI-e 2.0 & those cost plenty) shouldn´t play a big role today as the new technology have to mature for some time first in order too see any major benefit versus the big wad of cash youll have to spend.
If you can get this one in Bulk/OEM/secondhand or @ a pricetag around 35-45% (not that a 100£ is a lot of cash but yet still too expensive for my taste) less than that of a HD3850 256MB, then you can say it´s a good purchase, otherwise look for another...

ASUS - Market leaders for a reason.
Review of ASUS P5WD2 Premium AiLife Series - motherboard - ATX - i955X by
Radical-Machine
Advantages: Overclocking is Easy, Quality Product, Great Performance
Disadvantages: Layout not suitable for every PC
...This is the first Intel compatible board I've ever bought. After buying AMD for many years, I picked this board with the new Pentium D 805 processor because of the immense overclocking potential. The processor was a mere £79.95 and runs at 2.66Ghz standard. I've overclocked it to 3.4Ghz with no stabililty issues using only fans and heatsinks. Tom's Hardware have reportedly got 4.1+Ghz out of this chip using water cooling..!
So, I was confident after buying ASUS motherboards for AMD for years that their Intel boards would be just as good. I was right.
The motherboard is extremely well designed. I noticed a big difference when I was removing the old PC from it's case that this one was replacing. This ASUS motherboard has everything colour coded. Although not really a big deal for major components that are easily recognisable, it...

ASUS A8N-E BEST MOTHERBOARD I EVER USED
Review of ASUS A8N-E - motherboard - ATX - nForce4 Ultra by
Hi-Spec-Tek
Advantages: EVERY ADVANTAGE, SPEED, RELIABILITY, PERFORMANCE. A GREAT ALROUNDER.
Disadvantages: I COULD FIND NONE
...About two years ago or more, I purchased TWO of these ASUS A8N-E motherboards and built up two identical systems. One of these I had been using for up to 16 hours per day and that was over two years of many hours of long and hard usage.
I have nothing but praise for this model, the speed and reliability has been exemplary all this time. I run both of my PC's at 3% over-clock all the time but have tried 5% too, this I found made the PC unstable and sometimes it would reboot itself and sometimes not boot up at all but just go in an attempted boot-up in an endless cycle. So I took the Over-clocking NOS down to 3% where it has stayed and has been trouble free. I think it is required that there is good cooling and ventilation. Temperatures were usually near normal but on the odd occasion such as burning a DVD, the temperature of the CPU...
