The extra ordinary Asus Striker Extreme

...the Asus Striker Extreme the best motherboard for gamers with the technology SLI, the best motherboard I ever had, its a bit pricy but is worth every penny that you spend on that motherboard. Excelent on overclocking, very good features, supports all intel processors from pentium 4 to core 2 quad, even my internet connection is faster now with this motherboard, the only problem that I have with it is the memory because it requires QVL memory and my one isn't. Very easy instalation mainly with the q-connector, its real good, I highly recommend people to buy this motherboard.

Asus (Ati) Radeon 9600XT Video In/Out version
Advantages: Nicer graphics than your last one
Disadvantages: Disappointing performance for the midrange
...I needed something worthy to replace the mighty 3DFX Voodoo 3 to play the latest games that required all those fancy Pixel Shaders and Lighting Transformers. Avoiding the budget range of nVidia's FX5200 cards I put the biggest budget yet on the 9600XT specification of Mac(intosh) daddy graphics maker ATI.

Differing from ATI's reference board colour red, this is orange. One of the nicest heat sinks architected (with a slanted carving of 'ASUS') span over not just the graphics processor but the topside memory as well. Don't get your hopes up for overclocking the memory because it has a heatsink on it though as there are memory chips uncovered on the other side of the board as well. I think of ATI's designs as more efficient than nVidia's, this is because ATI don't need external power from the system's main power supply...

The packaging of the shampoo is quite nice as all the different sub ranges of Redken are colour packaged so that you know where you are buying them from. The range I have been using is the ?Extreme? range which is in the blue bottles. They are in a royal blue plastic bottle which is easy to see the levels of. The front of the bottle just has the Redken logo on it, it comes in a 300ml bottle which is actually not a bad size compared to other brands. The Extreme range is particularly aimed at distressed hair.

A Graphic card that dont do graphics
Advantages: Cheap, connection to D-Sub & DVI
Disadvantages: very very slow
...The Radeon x300 SE graphic card is by no means at the cutting edge of technology, rather its more to the blunt end, in fact mabey even further away. With graphic cards nowadays coming out with almost 1gig of memory and speeds of up to 1600Mhz, the measly speed of 300Mhz and 128Mb of memory does appear to be on the low side.
I purchased this graphic card just to tide me over until the new DirectX10 card becomes available for the new windows Vista. I also required a card that is capable to connecting to the 'old' style CRT monitors, most newer graphic card sonly support the new flat panell LCD monitors. I did not want to pay a fortune for such a card and since I am not in gamming this card would seam to be ideal, especially when www.microdirect.com is selling it for £25.00.

Pocket sized portability with the Asus Eee Pc 701

...The ASUS EEE PC 701 model is an extremely affordable, small and portable netbook with a 7" screen and built in wifi card designed primarily for internet use.
The standard model comes with a built in 2 gigabyte solid state hard drive and comes in a variety of colours and finishes ranging from matt white through to pastel pink. The white ones are probably your best bet as in my opinion they are slightly more stylish, echoing shades of the Macbook Air.
The EEE PC comes with a built in microphone on all models and webcam on most models and runs on a Linux based operating system although it can be configured to run on a Windows based system. Windows based versions are planned for release by the company shortly.

extreme makeover
Advantages: happy endings to stories

...Extreme makeover does exactly what it says on the tin so to speek, it is a show that completely rebuilds a new house.
The show is made in America and is aired on sky tv on uk style channel 246 and 247 and is on at various times most days.
The programme starts off by showing you the families homes before the makeover and the conditions they put up with and live in, some are really bad. The host Ty and his crew then show you what the plans for the new home. Then they call in the bulldozers and completely demolish the house, I love this part of the show it just get stuck in and ripped to pieces.
You are then shown the start of the new building, which doesnt take them long at all, not like it would be in England it would take us months to build!!
It is now time for the big reveal, the families are taken round their brand new...

Asus 9800 XT/TVD
Advantages: Fast

...I bought this card on the strength of an excellent review in PCHome magazine.
It's a nice card in many ways, available in 128Mb and 256Mb flavours, capable of running the latest games with ease.
Sad to say, the fans started to get noisy during bootup. They sounded awful. I was fortunate enough to get a replacement. But guess what? A couple of months later and that noise has started on the replacement! Overclockers UK are happy to replace the replacement luckily.
Postage with insurance costs nearly £20 so I'm going to end up paying around £40 for the two times this has happened.
Software: the DVD software isn't bad - it's an ASUS badged version of PowerDVD. The games are quite old, and the utlitites either didn't work or were not things I'd need.
The main inclusion of interest was a voucher for Half Life 2. Even this is...

An EXTREMEly Masculine Fragrance.

One of the fragrances he received for his birthday was Paul Smith Extreme Eau De Toilette and because I like this one so much I have decided to write my views on this fragrance.
The Packaging
I liked this fragrance right from seeing the box, nothing fancy but very striking and eye-catching nevertheless. The box is covered in vertical bold coloured stripes in various shades of browns, oranges and yellows. When you take the bottle out of the box, again a very simple design but with a classy look about it.
