...REVIEW FOR ASUS M4A78 PRO purchased from LUCMOS.CO.UK PROS: Built in video (VGA, HDMI, DVI), fiber optic out, RAID 0,1,5,10, JBOD; capable of locating and flashing bios under windows; 6 SATA slots, potential of 12 USB; 3 PCI slots handy to recycle various cards from old computer (ie old TV card) CONS: Bios only partially recognizes my Microsoft wireless photo keyboard set (mouse, not keyboard); Utilizing the optical out blocks one USB out (TOO CLOSE TOGETHER), No Firewire inputs on board (yet STILL with COM1 and floppy inputs?!) Other Thoughts: This was an open box item for 65 quid all in which Lucmpos indicates will not ship with the full complement of stuff, but I was expecting the I/O backing to at least cover up the back of my tower for this system of outputs...Alas, no. This baby shipped with just the board and non else...

Asus M3A32-MVP Deluxe Motherbaord ACE

Advantages: Has many sata ports, has 4 GPU ports, is able to run at 1066mhz
Disadvantages: Ram can only run at 1066 if processor is quad core.

...The transition from AGP to PCIE was without a doubt extreamly easy. Along with this motherboard, I had 2 Kingston 2GB 1066mhz ram, an AMD Phenom 9950 2.6ghz black edition, an ATI RADEON 4850 HD (1gb, Asus edition) and a 650w Antec Power Supply. The motherbaord an IDE port and many SATA ports which was very useful as i went from using an old IDE hardrive to a SATA hardrive. The IDE and SATA ports are also placed conveniantly on the sides allowing air to flow freely throughout the machine. With this intact the motherboard stays below 45C. I do have 2 other fans on the machine, one on the back and the other on the front. All air is moving out of the PC from the back. The manual that came with the motherboard is exceedingly helpful. It gives you clear information on what ram does and doesn't work with the board, and how to install...

I built several systems using this motherboard and so far it has been well up to ASUS' usual standard and for me it is the natural successor to my previous one (A8N-E). My comments are that on getting my first motherboard box with its numerous bits and pieces, was that you simply had your moneys worth. Ample leads and more. A sinch to assemble and it worked immediately I switched on, and like giving birth (I imagine), it was a relief when it did fire up and the labour was over LOL! There is a great deal of satisfaction from building a PC yourself. The moment you press that button the first time holding your breath or in some peoples cases - looking the other way!! ASUS M2N68 - motherboard - ATX - nForce 630a

Advantages: Very good cost/benefit ratio, like the overclocking, like the bios
Disadvantages: very bad pin and port placement

...The product performance is good, and definately worth the money. I like the bios, and the express OS built into it (30-second net access). Other good features include the cable connection diagnostics also built into the board. I have one major gripe however, and that is pin placement. WTF was ASUS thinking about when they placed the power supply port on the far end of the opposite side of the board? Or when they placed the SATA ports so close to the HD bays? I've lost use of 2 HD bays, and had to push one HD way into the cabinet, almost into the HD fan. (No problem on the DVD bays). Don't like the forward-facing IDE port, or the floppy port. Also very angry about the placement of the power switch/LED's/sound/reset/etc pins. I have a pin riser from a previous ASUS board which is a fantastic little plug that allows you to connect...

Advantages: Lots of ports/features, price.
Disadvantages: Slow to pass bois post

...I brought this from ebuyer a few months back, for my new system build. I wanted a motherboard which had plenty of features/ports etc, without braking the bank, and this does just that. With 4 USB port, 7.1 surround sound audio card, 4 rear USB ports + 2 headers, Printer Port, and even 2 PCI-E 16X for SLi and 2 PCI-E and 2 PCI card slots, which is a good use of the slots available, with the PCI-E sure to be used more in the future, with it's smaller and faster slot. So, after unpacking, I found there to be a lot of accessories with this board, keeping up to ASUS's standards. ...This review looks at one of many netbooks to be released in the UK over the past few months, ASUS's EEE PC 701 SD. The model I have is fitted with Windows XP and has an 8Gb hard drive. I bought it on special offer for £155. Appearance The 701SD is absolutely tiny. It weighs around a kilogram and is roughly the same size as a hardback reading book when in the closed position. It comes in a neat box along with instructions,a mains charger, a protective case and a system CD. It has a 7 inch screen which is absolutely tiny but is still perfectly functional. The unit has three USB sockets, headphone and microphone jacks, and SD memory card slot, a small webcam above the screen and a microphone positioned just underneath the keyboard. Good Laptop, if you don't need asus support

Advantages: 64bit processor, fast and realible,good battery life
Disadvantages: No Bluetooth, all USB behinde, it used to work a bit warm than intel processors

...I've got this laptop for 2 years, very good pc-replacement, Very fast when it comes from factory but as you install those thousands of updates to your windows it become very slow, you can sort it out just by making a memory upgrade to 2GB. But asus support is just waste of time, as I'm waiting for them just 6 months, only to come to my place, collect my laptop and fix a simple overheating problem (just dust inside) and a mini-PCI wireless adapter replacement which is not working very well anymore. You call them and they say to you go to their website and fill one application of service, always like that, but nobody call you back or have it to fix...

...Well I just love this laptop. It is everything I want in a laptop. It does have a few minor flaws but the pros totally outweigh them. Appearance This laptop is a great looking laptop. Only the size of an A5 notepad, it is small and yet it still manages to look smart yet fun. I chose the baby blue cover for my asus eee but any colour looks just as good. Inside, the layout is neat and tidy with reasonable sized keys for this small laptop. The sides of the laptop look clean in simple as is to be expected with a small laptop like this. Without a CD drive, it allows more room for the 3 USB ports and SD slot allowing the back of the laptop to be left clear bar the power port. Overall, a great looking laptop. Function With such a small hard drive of only 4gb and a small amount of memory of 512mb, this laptop surprised...
