P4P800-VM, Best P4 Micro-ATX Board.
Review of ASUS P4P800-VM - motherboard - micro ATX - i865G by
Darkle
Advantages: 800FSB P4 support, SATA, 8 USB2 connections, AGP 8X and 6ch Sound with SPDIF
Disadvantages: ASUS motherboard site can be down at times
...(Also referred to as AGP 3.0) meaning that all the latest graphics card such as the new Radeon X800 are able to run at full speed. This means that you can pack as much punch in with one of these small boards as with the normal P4P800 Deluxe which is a full size ATX board.
*It is worth noting that the P4P800-VM comes with intel onboard graphics, these are more than enough for day to day desktop use, but for game playing you're better off using the AGP slot and getting a card.*
Onboard 6ch Audio with SPDIF out. The cream on the bun! Being a smaller form factor you don't have the usual 5 or 6 PCI expansion slots, so to eliminate the need for a sound card ASUS have integrated a sound card which rivals creatives original audigy. It also has a Co-axial SPDIF output for use with any compatible amplifier or speaker set, meaning that at no additional...

Asus P5VD2-X
Review of ASUS P5VD2-X - motherboard - ATX - PT890 by
djohan
Advantages: Quite Cheap and Supporting Nowadays' Tech.
Disadvantages: Not Found, yet
...Do you plan to buy a new personal computer (PC)? Here is another motherboard from Asus – P5VD2-X. Being an indirect consumer (I am running a PC-Shop), I have built 16 PC using this motherboard since 4 months ago, and none of them returns to me till now. It proves the stability and endurance of this product.
Formerly I recommended Asus P5PE-VM which comes with onboard graphic-card and lower price. Both P5PE-VM and P5VD2-X support Intel Core 2 Duo processors, but if you are interested in having a “better” motherboard with a reasonable price rate, I would recommend you to buy P5VD2-X.
Why P5VD2-X?
First of all, I know most people always remember “Intel Inside“, and “Powered by Asus”. These two slogans are quite effective and make people, usually people who come into my shop asking for the two brands, Intel and Asus as if they knew...

Asus T2-P standard
Review of ASUS Terminator T2-P Standard - no CPU by
tchamone
Advantages: Small, sleek, push buttons for front panel and floppy drive.
Disadvantages: Small males it difficult to install the components, eg dvd drive
...This is a vary classy looking system, finshed in metalic black, the finsh will complement any tft in black and silver. It is small enough to leave on the top of your desk with out looking out of place. The overall build quality of this barbones system is excelent and I'm sure you wont be disappointed, ASUS design some fantastic systems; this is surerly one of the best for under £90.
This is an ideal system for the home user, with enough features and space for everything you need. I have completed my setup with back and silver finish, keyboard, mouse and 17" tft monitor.
The sysytem will obviously vary depending on what componets and drives you install. I put in An intel-4m, 160gb hard drive, dvd rom/ cd-rw, the system comes with floppy, cooling fan and all the following listed below.
Included in the setup is a support cd rom...

A good mid-range motherboard for P4 CPUs
Review of ASUS P4S800 - motherboard - ATX - SiS648FX by
Vicster1784
Advantages: Inexpenisve, good performance, lots of ports and slots
Disadvantages: Ports a bit cluttered, no WiFi
...Asus P4S800
Asus have always done a pretty good job at making motherboards. Since my second computer I’ve gone for nothing but Asus when it came to choosing internal components for my home made machines. Looking for a new motherboard I came across this one – a motherboard based on one of the latest Intel chipsets 865PE.
This version of the motherboard is the basic stripped down one, with other more expensive versions of the card available, such as the Wireless and Deluxe editions. I honesty don’t see much point in paying more money for wireless that I don’t use and more ports and things since this has more than enough even for someone as demanding as myself.
Design:
The main issue with this motherboard is its design. Don’t get me wrong – it looks good, not that it matters considering it’s going to be hidden away in your...

ASUS - Market leaders for a reason.
Review of ASUS P5WD2 Premium AiLife Series - motherboard - ATX - i955X by
Radical-Machine
Advantages: Overclocking is Easy, Quality Product, Great Performance
Disadvantages: Layout not suitable for every PC
...!
The motherboard comes with all sorts of programs including ASUS Probe, which is a lovely little utility which quickly provides a comprehensive and dynamic list of all temperatures within the PC. Great for a quick check, if you're after system stability.
The motherboard specs are pretty convincing too:
- Socket LGA775
for all the new Pentium D processors too!
- Intel 955X Chipset
- DDR2 800
- PCI-E
- PEG Link
It also features support for outboard SATA3 devices. The motherboard supports 5 internal SATA3 devices. 4 of these are controlled by Intel's ICH-7R chip and support native RAID. In either 0, 1, 5 or 10 configuration. The other 2 SATA3 ports are controlled by the Silicon Image Sil3132 chip and supports RAID in 0 and 1 arrays. Dual RAID really is an awesome capability.
Another nice touch on the board is the Dual Gigabit LAN...
