Cheap and Stabil Motherboard
Advantages: Build in Intel 945 Chipset, and cheap.
Disadvantages: -
...ASUS P5GCMX very compatible with the Intel Core2Duo Processor 2.0Ghz. I ever tried with the following specifications:
- Kingston 1Gb RAM
- Seagate 160GB SATAII HDD
- VGA nVidia GeForce 8500GT 512MB 128bit
The remarkable speed that I get. Very satisfied with the speed and is very stable. These products are relatively cheap. With the motherboard has a 1333FSB make this work more quickly. the motherboard is also equipped with sound quality that hit, make you are on a home theater room.
ASUS motherboard has long been known by many people about the endurance. They have a very good refrigerator.
Lack of on the motherboard is the only have 1 IDE slot. Video RAM, which can only be increased up to 256MB.
However, as I said. This motherboard is suitable for average user. I recommend this motherboard....

Cheap, All Round Mother Board
Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Slim Upgrade Potential
...I have been using this product for a while now and it is a great mid range motherboard. It supports Intel Dual core chips, has 2 RAM slots and PCI - Express slots. This means that although the product is very realiable and relativly cheap, I would not recommend this for the computer savy or gamers as upgrade potential is slim to none. Although you can have up to 2GB RAM, which I must say it handles with incredibly well. Never had it overheat, generally says around 20 - 40 degrees celcius. I use a add - on tempeture gauage to check and mointer tempetures.
As perviously said I would recommend this motherboard for the average user or possible to build into a spare machine as I have done. Not great for people who wish to upgrade their machine to the latest hardware....

Intel Desktop Board D945GCCR
Advantages: VREY FAST
Disadvantages: none
...technology came in to market. We can also attach joy stick for USB port and we can play games.It also have eight USB2 ports in it.
This mother board will have inbuilt 128Mb of graphics memory.But there will not be pixel shader for this mother board but we can insert graphics card in PCIE slot and we can use graphics card it is very efficient.We also get Realtek High Definition Audio with sound out put 5.1 channel surround.
If we come to the performance it is the best and we can play games with this mother board.For most of games the graphics will not be problem but for some game we require pixel shader that is not present in this mother board.If we put 2GB of RAM in this mother board and we run the mother board then the system will be perfect for gaming also.We can also use this system for entertainment.
I want to...

Great Price/Performance
Advantages: all in one package which includes sound,graphics and network
Disadvantages: limited PCI slots and lack of hw tnl and vertex shader 2.0 in gma 950
...The Intel D945GCNL is a cost effective solution for those on a tight budget.This board offers support for Pentium 4, Celeron D, Pentium D, Core 2 Duo processors and i am running a core 2 duo 2.4ghz on this board.
Feature wise it supports upto 2 GB of DDR2 SDRAM but i managed to install a 1GB ram on one slot and another 2GB on the second slot and the whole 3GB Ram works perfect!!
coming to audio,this board consists of the realtek hd audio 5.1 sound card which is excellent and plays anything flawlessly with my creative 5.1 channel speakers!
The graphics department is handled by the graphics media accelerator 950.Now there are many things that need to be clarified here:
* This card contains 64MB Video memory and anything extra is only taken from the RAM
* This doesnt contain Hardware TnL which is a basic feature in many games...

A great ASUS motherboard
Advantages: Lots of ports/features, price.
Disadvantages: Slow to pass bois post
...I brought this from ebuyer a few months back, for my new system build. I wanted a motherboard which had plenty of features/ports etc, without braking the bank, and this does just that. With 4 USB port, 7.1 surround sound audio card, 4 rear USB ports + 2 headers, Printer Port, and even 2 PCI-E 16X for SLi and 2 PCI-E and 2 PCI card slots, which is a good use of the slots available, with the PCI-E sure to be used more in the future, with it's smaller and faster slot.
So, after unpacking, I found there to be a lot of accessories with this board, keeping up to ASUS's standards. I applied the headers to the case and installed the motherboard easy enough, connected everything up etc. and it was up and running. After setting itself up, I was able to install the operating system. The board had no problem installing the Sata hard drive and disc...

ASUS M4A78 PRO motherboard
Advantages: cheapest i could find with UK online retailer
Disadvantages: open box item
...REVIEW FOR ASUS M4A78 PRO purchased from LUCMOS.CO.UK
PROS: Built in video (VGA, HDMI, DVI), fiber optic out, RAID 0,1,5,10, JBOD; capable of locating and flashing bios under windows; 6 SATA slots, potential of 12 USB; 3 PCI slots handy to recycle various cards from old computer (ie old TV card)
CONS: Bios only partially recognizes my Microsoft wireless photo keyboard set (mouse, not keyboard); Utilizing the optical out blocks one USB out (TOO CLOSE TOGETHER), No Firewire inputs on board (yet STILL with COM1 and floppy inputs?!)
Other Thoughts: This was an open box item for 65 quid all in which Lucmpos indicates will not ship with the full complement of stuff, but I was expecting the I/O backing to at least cover up the back of my tower for this system of outputs...Alas, no. This baby shipped with just the board and non else...

ASUS AMD Athlon Motherboard
Advantages: HDTV output, supports AMDs Cool 'n' Quiet
Disadvantages: Only one lan
...The ASUS M2NPV-VM Motherboard for AMD single-core Athlon 64/ Sempron and Dual-core Athlon 64 X2/ Athlon FX processors using socket AM2 is very user friendly, I went with AMDs 64 x2 3800+ processor in the beginning then moved up to 4200+ 2Gb Ram without any hassle, very easy to setup and fits easily in a standard ATX case. A possible downside to the board is that it has a limited number of slots due to being a micro ATX sized board. That's not a big deal for me as the only two cards I'll be buying in the future is Graphics and a extra Lan card.
Board Layout
``````````````````
>In the upper right hand corner of the motherboard are the ATX 24 pin power connector, Floppy disk connector, Game/Midi port connector and four DDR2 slots. These DDR2 slots support a maximum memory capacity of 8GB and the frequencies supported is DDR2-800MHz/667...
ASUS M2N68 - motherboard - ATX - nForce 630a
Advantages: Very good cost/benefit ratio, like the overclocking, like the bios
Disadvantages: very bad pin and port placement
...the individual connectors outside of the cabinet and then connect to the board as one plug. Fortunately it has the same format as the M2N68, but unfortunately I cannot use it because it raises the connectors too high, taking space from one of the only available HD bays. Good board, but very bad planning. Even on my large full-atx cabinet, connecting everything was an unpleasant challenge. I do not recommend this board for anyone with a slim or reduced-size cabinet, or anyone who works with 4 hd's.
And contrary to CIOS's description of 5 SATA ports, it has 4....
Oh Mother! Asus P5Q PRO ATX iP45
Advantages: soo many, cannot describe them in just few words
Disadvantages: none apparent
...and so I went to open it and so I went to install it and so on only to find out that my old motherboard wouldn't support it. Its BIOS was un-upgradeable (plus few more other reasons) and so I went out again to look for new motherboard. This time I had to have it instantly (yes the very same day) but you wouldn't believe me how very few shops in London sell motherboards. I managed to find one and only ( Asus P5Q PRO ATX iP45) and there I was on my way home with smile totally excited to set it up and get it running. Well again to my dissapointment I realised that this motherboard just won't fit in my old Dell chassis because Dell's speciality is probably custom made hardware or at least motherboards which are fitted in the chassis basically upside down + few extra weird things which are here (in my humble opinion) to prevent you from upgrading...
Gigabyte GA 945GCM S2C
Advantages: Cheap, Powerfull, easy to install
Disadvantages: Not for gamers!
...This is a good little motherboard for its low price. I am currently using it to write this review. I also have an Intel E2180 Pentium Dual core CPU set up and overclocking it was so easy.
The board itself was so cheap that i wasn't sure if it would be up to scratch for my new build computer, but it surprised me!
The Instruction manual was easy to follow and had screen shots of everything needed. The Setup disk was also detailed in the manual and was also easy to follow.
As previously stated, This motherboard is easy to overclock using the CPU i have. All the BIOS options are available to gain maximum performance for all components.
The manual also listed all the supported CPU's and also had screen shots of the BIOS which were helpful.
If you are looking for a cheap motherboard for a dual core Intel CPU then this is brilliant!...
