Oh Mother! Asus P5Q PRO ATX iP45
Advantages: soo many, cannot describe them in just few words
Disadvantages: none apparent
...and so I went to open it and so I went to install it and so on only to find out that my old motherboard wouldn't support it. Its BIOS was un-upgradeable (plus few more other reasons) and so I went out again to look for new motherboard. This time I had to have it instantly (yes the very same day) but you wouldn't believe me how very few shops in London sell motherboards. I managed to find one and only ( Asus P5Q PRO ATX iP45) and there I was on my way home with smile totally excited to set it up and get it running. Well again to my dissapointment I realised that this motherboard just won't fit in my old Dell chassis because Dell's speciality is probably custom made hardware or at least motherboards which are fitted in the chassis basically upside down + few extra weird things which are here (in my humble opinion) to prevent you from upgrading...

is this the mother of all motherboards?
Advantages: fast, handle the future
Disadvantages: soome time installing windows
...Well, the simple answer is yes, well priced at around £150, you definataly get your moneys worth.
Looks:
Well, its a thing of beauty, you definately need a case with a window. From the red heat sinks around the CPU, to the alternated colours of the RAM slots, it looks wonderful before you've even added anything. With the ROG (republic of gamers) tag lighting up, it definately shows its place within the case, and asus has also succesfully incorparated a practical use to the LED's dotted around. But we will touch on that later.
Practicality:
With 6 well spaced USB's,Ps/2 keyboard port, an IEEE 2394a port, 2, yes 2, gigabit LAN connections, and an included 7:1 supporting sound card. You will never be caught short again. 8 SATA ports inside, 2 speeding HDDs, and 6 normal. You have plenty of room to add the hard drives...

As Easy As Shredding Money?
Advantages: Does the job
Disadvantages: Doesn't shred 6 pages as stated, very noisey, can't cope with credit cards
...but I feel that you need to consider:
1) How much are you going to be using it?
2) What volume of paper are you going to be subjecting it to?
3) Is it just paper you want to shred or is it staples and CD?s too?
4) How much are you willing to spend?
All things considered we set our budget at around £40 (as that seems to be the price of most decent shredders these days) and we took ourselves down to Staples. We wanted a shredder that would be able take around 4 sheets of paper at a time because we tend to let our paper build up before using the shredder and we wanted something that we could put staples into as well. This is very important as shredders that are not built to accept staples and could break if deposited into the shredder.

Asus EEE 4g
Advantages: Small and Portable, Cheap
Disadvantages: Small HD, No CD drive
...Well I just love this laptop. It is everything I want in a laptop. It does have a few minor flaws but the pros totally outweigh them.
Appearance
This laptop is a great looking laptop. Only the size of an A5 notepad, it is small and yet it still manages to look smart yet fun. I chose the baby blue cover for my asus eee but any colour looks just as good. Inside, the layout is neat and tidy with reasonable sized keys for this small laptop. The sides of the laptop look clean in simple as is to be expected with a small laptop like this. Without a CD drive, it allows more room for the 3 USB ports and SD slot allowing the back of the laptop to be left clear bar the power port. Overall, a great looking laptop.
Function
With such a small hard drive of only 4gb and a small amount of memory of 512mb, this laptop surprised...

ASUS EEE PC 701 - Small but perfectly formed
Advantages: Size, Ease of Use
Disadvantages: Small keyboard, small screen
...This review looks at one of many netbooks to be released in the UK over the past few months, ASUS's EEE PC 701 SD. The model I have is fitted with Windows XP and has an 8Gb hard drive. I bought it on special offer for £155.
Appearance
The 701SD is absolutely tiny. It weighs around a kilogram and is roughly the same size as a hardback reading book when in the closed position. It comes in a neat box along with instructions,a mains charger, a protective case and a system CD. It has a 7 inch screen which is absolutely tiny but is still perfectly functional. The unit has three USB sockets, headphone and microphone jacks, and SD memory card slot, a small webcam above the screen and a microphone positioned just underneath the keyboard. It has a small touchpad which is small but works in exactly yhte same way as a normal sized laptop...

Pocket sized portability with the Asus Eee Pc 701
Advantages: Price, size, portability
Disadvantages: Processor power, memory capacity
...The ASUS EEE PC 701 model is an extremely affordable, small and portable netbook with a 7" screen and built in wifi card designed primarily for internet use.
The standard model comes with a built in 2 gigabyte solid state hard drive and comes in a variety of colours and finishes ranging from matt white through to pastel pink. The white ones are probably your best bet as in my opinion they are slightly more stylish, echoing shades of the Macbook Air.
The EEE PC comes with a built in microphone on all models and webcam on most models and runs on a Linux based operating system although it can be configured to run on a Windows based system. Windows based versions are planned for release by the company shortly.
The Linux distribution is extremely stable with a Windows like user interface although for those not quite used to Linux you...

Are ASUS Eee PCs worth the Money?
Advantages: Good battery life, Good specifications, Wireless N and Bluetooth
Disadvantages: Better netbooks available, Poor webcam
...INTRO
Asus (or AsusTek), are famous for their range of computer motherboards (the big circuit board in a PC). Nowadays, they've broadened their range to other computing items such as flat screen monitors, PDAs and even laptops. Now, speaking of laptops, Asus released their Eee PC range of laptops and these were the first 'netbooks' on the market. A netbook is a laptop (or notebook) but smaller and cheaper than a standard laptop. It's always been the case of, the smaller the laptop, the higher the price tag, since they would usually be classed as 'Ultra Mobile' laptops and would be just as powerful if not more powerful than normal laptops, but Asus changed all that by introducing the Eee PC. There are various flavours of the Eee PC with price tags ranging from around £180 and screen sizes from 7" up to 10" odd. The main...

Asus Xonar D1 - move over creative, your time is up.
Advantages: cheap, works in vista, does the job far better than the competition, optical output!
Disadvantages: limited inputs (see review)
...The souncard market has never really been swamped with options. For those of us who don't use onboard sound and demand a seperate sound card for our sorround sound/gaming/music needs theres never been much choice. Most people go with Creative as they are well known and apparently respectable. I did just that a few years ago, it was a mistake. Their driver and customer support, especially for Windows Vista users is seriously lacking. I was finding my games locking up, my computer suffering from fatal errors (aka Blue Screens of Death) and just general sound issues that were hindering my enjoyment. Research soon showed that the creative card was to blame. As a result i threw my old creative soundcard in the bin and opted for something new, the Asus Xonar D1.
Simple, small and effective. Asus's card supports Vista and its drivers are...

Display 13.3" has got 1280x800 resolution that is an average, but there is no need for better resolution since it is a small sized display.
Colors are good and display has got a wide range to adjust backlight and there is no problem to use it comfortably on daylight.
