Oh Mother! Asus P5Q PRO ATX iP45

Advantages: soo many, cannot describe them in just few words
Disadvantages: none apparent

...and so I went to open it and so I went to install it and so on only to find out that my old motherboard wouldn't support it. Its BIOS was un-upgradeable (plus few more other reasons) and so I went out again to look for new motherboard. This time I had to have it instantly (yes the very same day) but you wouldn't believe me how very few shops in London sell motherboards. I managed to find one and only ( Asus P5Q PRO ATX iP45) and there I was on my way home with smile totally excited to set it up and get it running. Well again to my dissapointment I realised that this motherboard just won't fit in my old Dell chassis because Dell's speciality is probably custom made hardware or at least motherboards which are fitted in the chassis basically upside down + few extra weird things which are here (in my humble opinion) to prevent you from upgrading...

Asus P5GPL-X SE - ideal board for a Pentium 4 user on a budget

Advantages: cost effective board from a respected manufacturer
Disadvantages: only supports 2GB RAM and very limited overclocking abilities thanks to the 915 chipset.

...After the capacitors started to bulge on my 6 year old Abit TH7-II RAID board (see other review), I found myself needing a replacement Pentium 4 motherboard quickly. I didn't have much money to spend, fortunately one of my mates who was upgrading to a Core2 donated me his old P5GPLX-SE. This board uses the Intel Grantsdale 915PL / ICH6 chipset and supports the Intel Pentium 4 or Celeron D processor in socket LGA 775 format. Front Side Bus (FSB) speeds are either 533 or 800, depending on the CPU used. The board has 3 normal PCI slots, one PCI-E x1 slot and 1PCI-e x16 slot. 2 RAM slots are available and the board supports DDR 333 or 400 memory with a maximum capacity of 2GB. PRS SE Custom - quality PRS guitar for the money conscious

Advantages: great value, versatility, good feel, beautiful instrument
Disadvantages: no singlecoil pickup - limits number of styles, no locking trem - if you need one look elsewhere

...In summary: a great sounding intermediate guitar, excellent bang-for-buck and a versatile range of tones. The name PRS is usually associated with professional quality, high end electric guitars in excess of £1000 or £2000, so to see a lower priced model you'd expect PRS to be cutting an awful lot of corners, resulting in a substandard instrument. However, with the SE Custom, this is not the case. The guitar is admittedly made with much cheaper materials than the higher up models but the trade off in sound is not as dramatic as you'd think. The fall of RI:SE

Advantages: Easy viewing in the morning, sometimes amusing, keeps me up to date with popular culture

ASUS EEE PC 701 - Small but perfectly formed

...This review looks at one of many netbooks to be released in the UK over the past few months, ASUS's EEE PC 701 SD. The model I have is fitted with Windows XP and has an 8Gb hard drive. I bought it on special offer for £155. Appearance The 701SD is absolutely tiny. It weighs around a kilogram and is roughly the same size as a hardback reading book when in the closed position. It comes in a neat box along with instructions,a mains charger, a protective case and a system CD. It has a 7 inch screen which is absolutely tiny but is still perfectly functional. .... This is an important feature as Dishwasher's that do not have this feature will leak Water in the Kitchen Area. The disadvantage or weakness in this product is that it has a plastic holder for extra items on the top layer. The plastic looks a bit weak or not very durable. ...When you read Mani ratnam?s name as the director, you know you are in for a quality cinema. Dil se is no exception. Starring Shahrukh Khan(in his first non SRK-ish avatar),Manisha Koirala and Preity Zinta, the film is about relations between a radio presenter and a suicide bomber. Mani ratnam has two very distinct qualities: One, to extract fine performances from the actors,making them portray the characters by detaching themselves from their stardom. Two, he tackles social issues with utmost sensibility without giving it prime focus. With Dil se he succeeds in both! The film starts off with Amar meeting Meghna(Manisha) at a train station and the mysterios nature of the girl attracts him. Advantages: Great film, with good acting and nice criminal masterplan

...I?m surprised I seem to be the first person to review the film Se7en (Seven) here on Ciao, and also that it?s classed as a ?horror?. Sure, the film features some pretty horrific stuff, but personally I?d have called it more of a crime thriller, albeit an 18-rated one with disturbing themes? The film came out in 1995 and was directed by David Fincher. It?s rated #55 in IMDB?s top 250 films (at time of writing ? 8.3/10 viewer rating) and features a number of star names: Morgan Freeman ? Asus EEE 4g

Advantages: Small and Portable, Cheap

...Well I just love this laptop. It is everything I want in a laptop. It does have a few minor flaws but the pros totally outweigh them. Appearance This laptop is a great looking laptop. Only the size of an A5 notepad, it is small and yet it still manages to look smart yet fun. I chose the baby blue cover for my asus eee but any colour looks just as good. Inside, the layout is neat and tidy with reasonable sized keys for this small laptop. The sides of the laptop look clean in simple as is to be expected with a small laptop like this. Without a CD drive, it allows more room for the 3 USB ports and SD slot allowing the back of the laptop to be left clear bar the power port. Overall, a great looking laptop. Function With such a small hard drive of only 4gb and a small amount of memory of 512mb, this laptop surprised...

...emotions in the audience. I felt very empty after the film ended, but I can't give away the ending! I'd rate Dil Se a 7 out of 10, mostly because of the music and Shah Rukh Khan's acting! Some trivia about the film - it was the first Indian film to break into the British box office charts! p.s. if you didn't guess from my title Dil Se means from the heart......
