My Asus Pundit P1-PH1 Black Beauty

Advantages: Cheap,Upgradeale, Easy to Setup, Compact, Consealed slots
Disadvantages: onboard graphics, Product registration, Upgradeability

...I have been using my Asus technologies Pundit P1-PH1 of just over a year and a half now without any problems I wanted to build a computer without the hastle and wanted to get a better spec than what was available on the high street or from companies such as Dell The P1-PH1 is a small compact barebones unit which you can configure and spec to your level or budget, Asus have many barebones units available but I chose this one as it was small compact and did not take up much room on a desk. It is similar to some of the philips units available from pc world which my dad has, another reason for buying this model Size is 25cm (H) 37cm(D) 10cm(W) Spec is to your liking upto the maximum allowable Built in freatures include Memory card readers for the following (Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, MultiMediaCard, SD Memory Card, Compact...

Asus EEE 4g

Advantages: Small and Portable, Cheap
Disadvantages: Small HD, No CD drive

...Well I just love this laptop. It is everything I want in a laptop. It does have a few minor flaws but the pros totally outweigh them. Appearance This laptop is a great looking laptop. Only the size of an A5 notepad, it is small and yet it still manages to look smart yet fun. I chose the baby blue cover for my asus eee but any colour looks just as good. Inside, the layout is neat and tidy with reasonable sized keys for this small laptop. The sides of the laptop look clean in simple as is to be expected with a small laptop like this. Without a CD drive, it allows more room for the 3 USB ports and SD slot allowing the back of the laptop to be left clear bar the power port. Overall, a great looking laptop. Function With such a small hard drive of only 4gb and a small amount of memory of 512mb, this laptop surprised...

ASUS EEE PC 701 - Small but perfectly formed

Advantages: Size, Ease of Use
Disadvantages: Small keyboard, small screen

...This review looks at one of many netbooks to be released in the UK over the past few months, ASUS's EEE PC 701 SD. The model I have is fitted with Windows XP and has an 8Gb hard drive. I bought it on special offer for £155. Appearance The 701SD is absolutely tiny. It weighs around a kilogram and is roughly the same size as a hardback reading book when in the closed position. It comes in a neat box along with instructions,a mains charger, a protective case and a system CD. It has a 7 inch screen which is absolutely tiny but is still perfectly functional. The unit has three USB sockets, headphone and microphone jacks, and SD memory card slot, a small webcam above the screen and a microphone positioned just underneath the keyboard. It has a small touchpad which is small but works in exactly yhte same way as a normal sized laptop...

Pocket sized portability with the Asus Eee Pc 701

Advantages: Price, size, portability
Disadvantages: Processor power, memory capacity

...The ASUS EEE PC 701 model is an extremely affordable, small and portable netbook with a 7" screen and built in wifi card designed primarily for internet use. The standard model comes with a built in 2 gigabyte solid state hard drive and comes in a variety of colours and finishes ranging from matt white through to pastel pink. The white ones are probably your best bet as in my opinion they are slightly more stylish, echoing shades of the Macbook Air. The EEE PC comes with a built in microphone on all models and webcam on most models and runs on a Linux based operating system although it can be configured to run on a Windows based system. Windows based versions are planned for release by the company shortly. The Linux distribution is extremely stable with a Windows like user interface although for those not quite used to Linux you...

Are ASUS Eee PCs worth the Money?

Advantages: Good battery life, Good specifications, Wireless N and Bluetooth
Disadvantages: Better netbooks available, Poor webcam

...INTRO Asus (or AsusTek), are famous for their range of computer motherboards (the big circuit board in a PC). Nowadays, they've broadened their range to other computing items such as flat screen monitors, PDAs and even laptops. Now, speaking of laptops, Asus released their Eee PC range of laptops and these were the first 'netbooks' on the market. A netbook is a laptop (or notebook) but smaller and cheaper than a standard laptop. It's always been the case of, the smaller the laptop, the higher the price tag, since they would usually be classed as 'Ultra Mobile' laptops and would be just as powerful if not more powerful than normal laptops, but Asus changed all that by introducing the Eee PC. There are various flavours of the Eee PC with price tags ranging from around £180 and screen sizes from 7" up to 10" odd. The main...

The extra ordinary Asus Striker Extreme

Advantages: overclocking, very easy to install etc...
Disadvantages: only garantees QVL memory

...the Asus Striker Extreme the best motherboard for gamers with the technology SLI, the best motherboard I ever had, its a bit pricy but is worth every penny that you spend on that motherboard. Excelent on overclocking, very good features, supports all intel processors from pentium 4 to core 2 quad, even my internet connection is faster now with this motherboard, the only problem that I have with it is the memory because it requires QVL memory and my one isn't. Very easy instalation mainly with the q-connector, its real good, I highly recommend people to buy this motherboard. a few number of features to help people know what this motherboard have. back panel: 2 x 10/100/1000 (LAN) 1 x 7.1 Audio I/O 2 x eSATA II 1 x Firewire (6pin) 1 x LCD Poster 1 x PS/2 Keyboard 1 x PS/2 Mouse 1 x SPDIF-Out 4 x USB 2.0/1.1 internal: 1 x...

Asus Xonar D1 - move over creative, your time is up.

Advantages: cheap, works in vista, does the job far better than the competition, optical output!
Disadvantages: limited inputs (see review)

...The souncard market has never really been swamped with options. For those of us who don't use onboard sound and demand a seperate sound card for our sorround sound/gaming/music needs theres never been much choice. Most people go with Creative as they are well known and apparently respectable. I did just that a few years ago, it was a mistake. Their driver and customer support, especially for Windows Vista users is seriously lacking. I was finding my games locking up, my computer suffering from fatal errors (aka Blue Screens of Death) and just general sound issues that were hindering my enjoyment. Research soon showed that the creative card was to blame. As a result i threw my old creative soundcard in the bin and opted for something new, the Asus Xonar D1. Simple, small and effective. Asus's card supports Vista and its drivers are...

Small ASUS, Large features

Advantages: GPS, HDMI, eSATA
Disadvantages: loud cooler

...ASUS U3S is very well designed. When closed the notebook is whole black, Only on the back side is a silver line. Cover is made from metal and its surface is smooth and reflects like a mirror. It is nice, but you have to clean it often to keep the effect on:) The sides are hardened by metal so the construction is strong. Good thing is the leather surface arounf touchpad. The only thing i dislike about this mode are a bigger edges around display. There are many ports and features inside. On the front side is no connector, on the left Audio, card reader (MMC, SD, MS/Pro), Wifi switcher FireWire, USB, cooling output and S-video. The back side id filled mostly by battery, on the sides are VGA, modem and LAN. On the right side are the most interesting ports - Express Card, switcher of the graphics card, two USBs, port for external GPS...

ASUS P5PE-VM

Advantages: Flexible
Disadvantages: -

...Being a personal computer (PC) supplier, I try to find a 'better' product with better price for my consumers. As a fact, consumers would have a good product with reasonable price. ASUS is a well known manufacturer for mainboards. It always gets awards from several PC magazines and institutions. This image gives Asus a high goodwill? This is not my personal opinion, but it comes from my consumers. Awards? Some new PC consumers do not realize that awards are given to CERTAIN PRODUCTS of a manufacturer. As Asus products always gets awards, it does not mean all Asus products are the best. Seeing the fanatic consumers of Asus, and standing at the supplier side, I try to offer my consumers ASUS P5PE-VM mainboard as it offers the most competitive price and it comes with some nice features. SPECIFICATIONS Intel 865G...

A great ASUS motherboard

Advantages: Lots of ports/features, price.
Disadvantages: Slow to pass bois post

...I brought this from ebuyer a few months back, for my new system build. I wanted a motherboard which had plenty of features/ports etc, without braking the bank, and this does just that. With 4 USB port, 7.1 surround sound audio card, 4 rear USB ports + 2 headers, Printer Port, and even 2 PCI-E 16X for SLi and 2 PCI-E and 2 PCI card slots, which is a good use of the slots available, with the PCI-E sure to be used more in the future, with it's smaller and faster slot. So, after unpacking, I found there to be a lot of accessories with this board, keeping up to ASUS's standards. I applied the headers to the case and installed the motherboard easy enough, connected everything up etc. and it was up and running. After setting itself up, I was able to install the operating system. The board had no problem installing the Sata hard drive and disc...
