Paramore's Second Album - RIOT!

Advantages: Hayley Williams's Vocals, Excellent Instrumentals, Good variety
Disadvantages: Some songs not to everyone's taste

...RIOT! - PARAMORE ALBUM Paramore are an American band featuring Hayley Wiliams (lead singer and song writer), Joshua Neil Farro (Guitar and song writer), Zachary Wayne Farro (Bass), Jeremy Clayton Davis (Drums) and would be categorised in the Pop Punk or Pop Alternative genres. I first discovered their music about half a year ago in the strangest of places. I was at a friend's house and we were playing Rock Band on the Xbox 360, which is the game involving a microphone, bass, guitar and drums whereby each player takes an instrument and tries to perform the songs by hitting, pressing and strumming, etc the coloured buttons on the instruments at the right time by following what they see on screen. ...Paramore Riot Released 2007 For a pessimist im pretty optimistic 03:48 This has a consistent amazing beat and an awesome rhythm and the vocals are absolutely mind-blowing. Lyrics are great to sing along to so easy to memorize it took me two listens of the song to remember them. Paramore Run Riot!

Advantages: An excellent album from a powerful female fronted band.
Disadvantages: Not a fan of female vocals? Stay well away.

...2004 was the year that Paramore formed, the year later they released their début album 'All We Know Is Falling' through Fueled By Ramen records, and then their second album 'Riot!' appeared on the scene in 2007. 'Riot!' was recorded in New Jersey with the producer David Bendeth, an eleven track offering of utmost excellence. Paramore have come a long way as a band in their few years and this has to be seen as in no small part down to their gifted front woman Hayley Williams. The female vocalist has a lot of power and emotion in her voice, she conveys these qualities with great eloquence when she sings making Paramore a true force to be reckoned with. ATR - Bring the Noise!!

...OK, before the platitudes start, one word of warning. This album is LOUD! Like, eardrum-burstingly loud. Britney Spears fans need not apply. Right, that's that over with. Let's not beat about the bush here (it's not like ATR ever would.) Sixty Second Wipeout is a colossus amongst records. Building on the sound of their previous recordings, 'ver Riot', on this album, sound not so much like 'a flight of stairs falling down a flight of stairs' as Alec et al systematically detonating every flight of stairs in the world. (I'll start making sense now) 13 tracks and 40-45 minutes long, the album starts with a definite statement of intent in single 'Revolution Action'. This segues seamlessly into 'By Any Means Necessary' and those weak of disposition may be needing new eardrums... The political content is still high, in fact...

Review of 60 Second Wipe Out - Atari Teenage Riot

Severe eardrum damage

Advantages: Pushing noise terrorism about as far as it can go
Disadvantages: It's just a mass of white noise

...I really want to like Atari Teenage Riot as they are doing something that nobody else would have the guts to do but this does not mean that they are any good. I bought the first ATR single release some time ago and was very impressed by the mix of electronic fury and guitars. Unfortunatly on this release they appear to have taken the idea way to far and all we get here is a huge mass of white noise and digital crunching with no kind of recognisable form. As with similar bands such as Cubanate they seem to have disappeared up their own arses with self indulgent experimentalism which really does not make for good listening. I saw ATR live about 6 years ago and it was one of the best gigs i have ever been to. On the evidence of this live album i am glad that i have never been tempted to go and see them again as i do actually value my...

Advantages: Everything about it to be honest.
Disadvantages: Not much really.

...I've been quite a big fan of paramore for well over a year, before the whole supposed 'emo' craze was about and personally they're more rock/pop than 'emo'. I think that they should be encouraged as a rock band especially as there are not enough female singers around in that genre of music. Just because hayley's a girl and tends to write more meaningful songs doesn't necessarily mean they should be classed as that. Anyway! Now thats off my chest... ..Riot is an outstanding album. In their first album, all we know is falling, they also had some outstanding and to this day amazing song's but there were a few too many weak links. Advantages: Refreshing and individualistic new sound, catchy lyrics and music

...Although some describe Paramore as emo, I don't find this in any of their music. The stereotypical sounds that you hear in emo music and bands cannot be heard in their up-beat style. I would describe them more as modern day rock rathern than through them in the popular categories of either indie or emo. Their music has a fresh new sound that seperates them from the crowd and are recognisable instantly. Paramore were singed by Fueled By Ramen and the singer Hayley quotes herself that some of her favourite bands are also signed to the same label. Although their rise to success appeared to be instant in America, it was not the same in England. Advantages: It's a pretty good band
Disadvantages: It;s been a better band

...The debut album for paramore "All we know is falling" fell between "pop" and "emo", and set the band up to be very successful and a great example to both genre's aswell as creating a new genre. In light of this success "Riot" was eagerly awaited, and didn't impress to the same degree, where it attempted to have the same impact it fell just short. This album doesn't have the same sound as the last- and appears to have something missing, this is beginning to seem inevitable for most modern bands as they grow in popularity. The songs: When it rains- a slow song, which comes off a bit cheesey, but is great to sing in the car too - power balladesque! Misery Business- a personal fabourite on this album. ...Teenage Pregnancy... Worst Rates in UK To start off my rant, this is pretty shocking. But, I do not completely disagree. In May 2008, my sister fell pregnant at 15. My mum and dad are divorced and of course we gave her as much help as she could. She decided to go ahead and have the baby which was her own choice. Now, more than a year later she has her own house and the baby is well looked after! I was surprised at the range of services available for Teenage Pregnancies and I think this is a great idea. School can also be helpful at times but, when my sister fell pregnant in year 10, she only ended up going back to do her GCSE examinations in year 11 because it got to complicated with all the risk assessments etc.. The local council provided a one to one worker who would give support, guidance and attendant any meetings that she...
