Review of ATI RAGE IIC by
robinson1010
Advantages: Good features for 2D
Disadvantages: not 3D
...I recently brought this card of a mate. Only for a small sum of £10, so i plugged it in my pc and connect onto to the internet to download the approproate drivers and did so, then installed them. Card has in the title Rage 3D + DVD, so you think it is gonna be a 3D Card with DVD caperbilities. Well that is a no no... The card is a quality 2D card with no 3D capebilities, alothough i cant complain for £10. The card has excellent option for a 2D card, with pan adjust refresh rate adjust, and many many more features....

Very Stable Graphics Card - Dual Rage Fury's
Review of ATI RAGE FURY by
WormySqurmy
Advantages: Very stable card. 64MB
Disadvantages: Not the most powerful card - but who needs one.
...This was the second graphics card that I have bought and have had no problems with it. I bought it from Watford Electronics website for £100 because it was a special deal (almost half price). The card has a dual ATI Rage fury chipset with 64MB. The first card I got was a Rage fury (check out my opinion of it) and so I knew the card would be good enough for me. It is not the most powerful card but it has been very reliable.
The card is not as much a powerful card, but a very stable one. Because of the dual chipsets you will be able to run the same graphics as the rage fury but you be assured that there won’t be any problems with the running. Push way over the ability of the original and you may find that the card struggles.
If your not into the most 3D graphical games and prefer the brilliant strategy games like StarCraft you...

MAXX is not the word
Review of ATI RAGE FURY by
thepanther
Advantages: cheap for the type pf card
Disadvantages: Not as good as it should be
...if the Drivers get a little more behind them we may see an improvement, but I doubt its worth buying this card now that the Radeon is out.
lets look at what the card did have. well it has the normal ATI features, who allways pack there cards full of everything thats going. So we obviously get a hardware DVD decoder in there which is allways helpful. It supports AGP 2x and 4x and supports both Open GL and Direct 3D
all the standards features in todays cards now.
In conclusion its not a bad card for the price its sold at but its no where near as good as what it should be, A dual processor card with 64Mb RAM should easilly be leagues ahead of what this card really is....

Best value for money
Review of ATI All-In-Wonder Pro by
carlossus
Advantages: Value for money and excellent picture quality with fast peformance
Disadvantages: Difficult or impossible to install on some operating systems
...I have been using the ATI All In Wonder Pro AGP with 8MB RAM, and using ATI's Rage Pro chipset for over a year now. As a Windows VGA card it is fast in both 2D and 3D modes, but I wouldn't recommend it for 3D games as the card is aimed more at Good all round performance with the bonus of having TV and video editing on a PC. For the price, I would say it is the best card for a home user to start editing videos because if you get bored with editing videos then you are still left with a brilliant video card and thus haven't wasted your money. I have not had any problems with it under Windows 95, 98 or 98SE. Installation is easy, and it drives my 20" monitor at 1024 resolution in full colour mode at 85 Hz with plenty of room for more!
On the down side (for non -Windows users) I am unable to use it with my OS/2 Warp Connect version 3 system...

Need to do lots of things
Review of ATI All-In-Wonder Pro by
messes
Advantages: Got just about everything
Disadvantages: Getting old now, has a big brother now
...The ATI All-in-Wonder Pro PCI is an old card, however it currently comes in two versions, the older PCI with 16MB of memory or the newer 32MB AGP card. Both cards have the same features the only differences being the amount of memory and the slot. AGP or PCI for those of you who want TV input and output but your computer doesn't have a AGP slot then the PCI version is the way to go. This card does nearly everything you could want the card to do. It outputs to the TV via S-video and composite, you can record off the TV or VCR. It allows you to watch TV on your computer. It comes with video editing programs.
I use this card to watch DVDs on a 28" TV and the quality is amazing. The only thing this card can't do is play Quake 3 at top res. High demand 3D gaming is beyond this card. If you want that get the new ATI card.

A great 3D card
Review of Connect3D Radeon 9600 by
neo_tiger
Advantages: Very good bargain
Disadvantages: Compatibility issues with certain games
...My previous 3D graphics card was an ATI Rage 32MB which is quite old and it doesn't have the capability to run the latest games so I decided to upgrade. I bought the Connect 3D Radeon 9600 from Savastore for just a tad over £60 which is a real bargain for a 256MB graphics card.
The main reason for upgrading to Radeon 9600 was to play Need for Speed Underground which requires a lot of graphics processing. However, I've experience problems playing Need for Speed 4 (High Stakes) and Colin Mcrae rally 2.0. I managed to download a patch for NFS 4 to get it working properly but I had no luck with getting CMR 2.0 to run.
Installing this card is fairly simple even if you've never openned up a computer before. It includes an instruction booklet to guide you through the installation process. The card will only fit into the AGP (Acelerated...

Oh... wow!
Review of Creative 3D Blaster GeForce Pro by
Cheesefather
Advantages: It's amazing, and cheap now too!
Disadvantages: Will make your monitor look old very quickly...;-)
...This card is brilliant, and now that the Annihilator II has come out, vey reasonably priced (incidentally the difference between this card and its new replacement is minimal). It can hadle just about everything you can throw at it, and when I bought it a few months ago, had the fastest frame rates on just about everything, faster even that the ATI Rage Fury MAXX which has twice the memory and dual processors on board. The secret is in the nVidia chipset, which is absolutely awesome, and will easily cope with almost 4GB per second!! My only worry is that my slightly outdated monitor can't handle all the options - the top resolutions and refresh rates supported by the card are way above my monitor's capabilities (and old CTX 1785). I guess I need a new monitor. Anyway, this card is absolutely brilliant, and definitely worth its weight...

Good all round workhorse
Review of ATI Radeon 9700 128MB DDR 8x by
gwarwick
Advantages: Fairly fast mid-high range card, excellent DVD playback
Disadvantages: Need a good CPU, beaten on performance by the 9700Pro
...The radeon 9700 is a fairly fast Mid-High range card, clocked at 275mhz core and 540mhz memory.
Core is like the processor of the graphics card. The faster the core the better. The memory stores what the graphic card is running. Because the memory "feeds" the core with the data it is holding, speed is again important. The faster the memory, the faster it can pass on data.
ATI have had a reputation for good hardware but poor drivers, but this 9700 card has much improved driver support, through ATI Catalyst Drivers, currently at version 3.5.
The card also supports the latest DirectX9.0a / OpenGL Support, AGP 8X Bus (Compatible with AGP 4X)
The Radeon 9700 can cope with anything that you can currently throw at it and at least over the next six months, when used with good CPU.
There is a very strong user base and community at www.rage3d...

ATI Rage 128 Fury Video Display Adapter
Review of ATI RAGE FURY by
Trev1000
Advantages: well priced and bundled with utils
Disadvantages: none
...A great quality easily affordable video graphics display card for a PC.
I have used the ATI range of cards for over 3 years now and have never had reason to complain. The picture quality is and has been always superb, and when it comes to installation, it’s a breeze.
The manufacturer offers excellent support with both online documentation and with instructions that come with the product. On top of this most of their hardware comes with additional software that can be used for many other things.
For example with 128 fury the hardware is fitted with an output that you can connect to a TV or Video source with easy to follow instruction and software that makes viewing DVD films really simple. Even more than that, the software basic package gives you other utilities for playing Cds midis etc.
The ATI range are fully compatible...
