...it comes to accommodation and I won't just stay anywhere. Mr & Mrs Bedbug B&B, for me is out of the question, call me a snob but I would rather sleep in the car..lol. Upon arriving in the centre of Newquay you can see a huge hotel on the cliffs, which to me looked like a perfect hotel to stay in, driving up the bank to the hotel, we noticed that there was a wedding party there, so I wasn't counting my chickens however we parked up in the carpark, went inside and luckily they had a double room available at a cost of £45 per night per person including breakfast. Thats it we will take it. The hotel that we stayed in was the Atlantic Hotel. The hotel was purposely built in 1892 and is the largest hotel currently in Newquay. Luxury all the way with Virgin Atlantic!

Advantages: Extremely helpful staff, comfortable

...I often wonder why so many people say they will not travel with anyone other than virgin Atlantic, I simply could not see why people would pay over the odds for a flight to and from the same place. After my visit to Florida flying with Virgin Atlantic I found out why. I had travelled with virgin Atlantic before as a child when I went to Los Angles with my family. I don't remember the experience that well as I was only 10, all I remembered of the flight was being extremely travel sick and the little bag of goodies they give children when they board the flight. When we booked up to go to Florida I had my reservations because my daughter would only be 9 months when we travelled. I feared it would be a nightmare and she wouldn't sit still, there would be nowhere for her to sleep and the whole 10 hour fight would just be disastrous...

Virign Atlantic

Advantages: Good flying with them
Disadvantages: Not so good booking team

...Virgin Atlantic, the flying experience was great, I can't fault them, a great cabin crew team, good food and refreshments and a great in flight entertainment system on all A340-600 and other. It makes you flying experience so much more enjoyable being able to chose from 100's of films, tv programs, radio shows and even games to watch and play when you want. They even allow you to make calls and texts from up there. Flying in economy was actually a pleasant experience with fairly comfy seats a nice blanket and pillow and the leg room was pretty good for a trans-Atlantic airline. I would recomend flying with tem again. However the booking process was less good, some of the sales staff were great on the phone others not so, so watch this area!!...

I recommend Virgin Atlantic

...I am a UK citizen living in the US. I have flown back and forth to the UK with virgin 6 six times in 4 years. I would not consider any other airline. I usually go straight to their website to book flights as I have never been able to find it cheaper using any other site like cheap tickets or expedia etc. One time when booking flights for my pregnant wife and i we asked for bulkhead seats for extra room. When we arrived at the airport to check in the staff at the check in counter were expecting us and gave us the best seats they could find. During the flight the cabin staff checked on my wife several times to make sure she was comfortable. The entertainment is good with up to date movies and you will never go hungry on a virgin atlantic flight. I would definitely recommend virgin atlantic...

...This year we decided to have a short break during the May Day bank holiday weekend somewhere in the UK. We had always wanted to visit Pembrokeshire in the South West corner of Wales, and so decided to look up some places to stay in the area. As a result of our search, we decided to book 3 nights at a B&B called Atlantic View. The place itself is situated in Broad Haven, which lies 6 miles to the west of Havordfordwest. It is easy enough to get to although it does lie on a very narrow and steep hill, on a cliff overlooking the bay and beach in Broad Haven. It is personally run by Bob and Frances Crawford and comprises of 4 en suite double bedrooms, and 1 twin bedroom with a private bathroom. 2 of the bedrooms are downstairs which are ideal and accessible for disabled guests, and all rooms come with a colour television, hot drink making...

...Ok, so I have always heard the hype of Virgin Atlantic. Lets face it, they are hard to miss when they are owned by Sir Richard Branson! I was off on holidays to Sydney and decided to treat myself to Upper Class. The day came and I had already arranged the Limo service through Virgin Atlantic. The Limo service I understand is only available on some Upper Class Tickets (i,.e the non discounted ones). The Limo arrived on time, just in time to hit the rush hour traffic in London. My friendly driver told me lots about what my experience over the next 24hours would involve....Spa treatments....excellent Inflight entertainment.....lovely crew.....modern aircraft! Fantastic. The new benchmark in Trans Atlantic flights

...Way back in 1993 I used Virgin Atlantic for a return flight to Boston from London Gatwick & was left very impressed. In 2006, we decided to have a fly/drive holiday in New England & use Virgin for the return flight to Boston from London Heathrow. Heathrow airport is a pain to use, but Virgin has become the preferred carrier across the Atlantic now that BA have lost the plot & it's a small price to pay if it means using a decent airline. The Virgin flights worked out at about £430 per passenger for economy, not the cheapest at the time but still cheaper than BA. The journey started in Scotland on a bright Saturday morning in September, the BA check in staff were their usual 'look at you as though you were dirt on their shoes'. Choose Virgin Atlantic for a generally chilled out flight

Advantages: nice food and friendly staff
Disadvantages: can be a bit chaotic

...I have only used Virgin Atlantic once, which was at the end of last year. I flew with my young son (only nine months at the time) and my partner. We flew from Gatwick to Orlando International and then back the same way. The check-in as Gatwick was busy when we arrived in the North terminal. Even though the queue was long, we only had to wait for around 15 minutes at the most before we were fully checked in. The staff were friendly and helpful, but not always very happy looking. The flight itself was on time, though the Virgin flight before ours was delayed. As our son was only nine months at the time, we had a bulkhead seat, so that we could have a sky cot. The sky cot is rests on a flip out table that is attached to the bulkhead and is really handy on such a long flight. At first my son wasnt too keen, then decided that he liked...

Pop your trans-atlantic cherry anytime

Advantages: Cheap fares, excellent service, first-class entertainment system, decent food

...Who hasn't heard of the almost mythical experience in luxury that flying Virgin Atlantic represents? The Virgin Clubhouse lounges, the on-board massseuse and manicurist, the bar right there in the cabin, the fully reclining beds...the list is endless. But what about economy class? Was there any trickle-down effect, or was the difference enough to effect a Marxian-style revolution (sorry way too much philosophy/history this semester!) My father was eager to find out and so booked us on Virgin Atlantic from New Delhi to London on our summer vacation to Europe this summer, and needless to say, we came away thoroughly disillusioned with the Virgin myth. What on earth had all those people who had recommended Virgin raved about? This flight was the pits, and needless to say, I was not too pleased with the prospect of flying back to the US...

Virgin Atlantic - twice

Advantages: Good entertainment and food
Disadvantages: Not many destinations especially from Manchester

...I have flown twice with Virgin Atlantic. The first time was from Heathrow to Los Angeles. The food was great and plentiful, and the entertainment was excellent and seats were comfortable. Having a screen in the seat in front of you saves the usual neck craning to see some distant screen and the choice of entertainment was good. The flight was 11 hours long, but it didn't seem like 11 hours. We left Heathrow on time and landed in LA on time, the same on the return journey. The second time I flew with Virgin was from Manchester to Orlando. Again the entertainment was great but the seating was not but food was still excellent. We reserved our seats on line, on the flight out we had the seats we had reserved. However on the way back we had to sit apart, when we expressed our disappointment at this and said we had reserved our seats...
