Luxury lodgings in the heart of Auckland
Advantages: Central location, excellent room, decent facilities

The Heritage Hotel is right in the city centre of Auckland, on Hobson Street. This is parallel to the main shopping road, Queen Street, which is a couple of blocks away, and hence very close. These is also a branch of Esquires Coffee close by which is open 24 hours a day, as well as a decent microbrewery bar...

Advantages: Great place to see views of city
Disadvantages: It is a city and New Zealand is so much more beautiful to go rural

Auckland was my first destination when I arrived in New Zealand, traveling into the city and seeing the Sky Tower for the first time was really cool, I remember thinking I made it! I am really here!! The City is big but easy to get around using the tram system they have in place. It is a very clean and friendly city, if you don't have long I would recommend a couple of days...
