bargains at the auctions

Only on forecourt prices which are over the top anyway Advice. If you go to an auction go with someone who knows the score or you'll be sorry. You'll see lots of dealers there who will be looking for the cream to sell off their forecourts. If they swarm around it it's worth bidding on. Remember that they pay less commission on their bids than the public so they can afford to compete with you on the bids. When you see the driver bring the car in don't be afraid to ask them questions like " is the clutch ok"? Also open the bonnet look for leaks listen for taps and if it's been steam cleaned leave it alone! Look at the windscreen sheet to determine the mileage, mot length and service history...

I have been using Yahoo! for approximately 3 months now and I am really glad to have done so. The website is easy to navigate and even easier to use making the whole auction experience pleasurable. The Sellers Perspective I have managed to sell approximately 20 products in that time because of the massive exposure you get from using the Yahoo! brand name. ...Last week I went to my first auction, and felt that I’d found a secret Aladdin’s cave. Auctions can be found in most towns and cities, selling an assortment of items or specialising in particular items. They can take place in a richly decadent auction room (e.g. Sotheby’s) or at remote outdoor locations (e.g. Farmer Giles’ cow-dung infested field). My visit took me to the auction house in my street! Despite living here for 9 months I’d previously not had the courage to enter Victorian ex-school (2 classrooms which echo the same sense of centrally heated standards of the Victorian era, therefore absolutely none at all) which are now known as Heritage Auction Rooms in Leek. Great auction site

Advantages: Its free to list your auctions, so good prices
Disadvantages: As with all auction sites there are the odd few rippers

...Yahoo Auctions UK & Ireland is run by the well known search engine Yahoo. Its similar to other auction site ebay.co.uk but unlike ebay who charge you for listing items its free with Yahoo Auctions. But the only problem is that you will find that you items on Yahoo Auctions don’t always get as many bids as what they do on ebay. Listing items with Yahoo is easy aswell, all you do is, enter a title and description, then if you have any pictures you want to add to the auction page you can upload a max of 3 per auction for free. Once you have done that you just need to enter the starting price which is the price the bidding will start from, the reserve/buy price if any, the number of days you want to list the item, and how many times you want the item to be relisted - this part is good because if you item doesn’t sell first...
